Takeru's favorite Legendary Hero has come to give him some advice. Will this turn the tide in the Ganma War?

Adel's plan still continue...

All people face (mostly shown is citizen), the face become Adel's face....The only people who is not in Adel's possession is Onari, Akari, Shibuya, Narita, Alain, Takeru, Makoto, and Jabel.....

Eddith not appeared in this episode because he go to Ganma World to search secret monolith....

Cubi and Onpu back!! and maybe they will meet to Takeru in the next episode

Hmm....Takeru vs Musashi looks great! I think their battle is has some means especially for Takeru's character development....

Takeru can seen by his friends again after his fight against Musashi....

So, Takeru, Makoto, and Alain bbatle against Ganmaizers...

Some Ganmaizers such as Gravity, Time, Oscillation, Magnetic, and Electric appear in orb form.....

Next episode....the most interesting part is....Edith become Kamen Rider Dark Ghost!!!

I actually really like it whenever Takeru fights without transforming. The brief scenes where he fought with Musashi were pretty cool. Not sure I understood the reasoning for it all, though. Guess I gotta wait for subs.

So we finally see the "true" forms of the remaining Ganmaizers, and they're...circles. Cool beans.

Whatever I guess.

If Adel is telling the truth in the PV then I guess that makes Genesis as non-canon as I already assumed it was? Don't mind that at all, gotta say.

What the hell did any of these guys actually achieve? Besides thrashing about and flailing at the Ganmeisers? Takeru got so bad that Musashi had to pull him back into his world and transform into Fuuwa Juzo (because that looked like Fuuwa Juzo's actor) to teach him a lesson.

And Adel has reached the point of insanity where he starts contradicting canon (It was I who killed your father) and makes the Ganmeisers look like positively excellent villains with a defined agenda.

Mean while, Makoto confuses Kamen Rider for a romantic series as he promises Takeru that he will always find him. Oh God, the homoerotic subtext is only thicker between Makoto and Alain. Meaning that what we have here is a love triangle between Riders. And even that was beaten by Shoutarou, Phillip and Ryu ages ago.

Long story short, same boring stuff, different episode.

Seeing Musashi as a human (which of course they only did because it’s a gimmick of the movie and they had the actor available) makes me think how awesome this show could’ve been if the spirits of the Eyecons were main characters similar to the Imagin of Den-O. I would’ve really liked that.

Anyways, the re-appearance of past people Takeru helped out was neat, that’s about the only thing I liked about the episode. And I really hate how everyone screams his catchphrases all the damn time, Jesus. So annoying.

Looking at Over-Time's image for the episode, can I say 'called it'?

Okay wait what? We never really knew who killed Takeru's father, it was just there in the beginning of the series and never brought up. If your talking about the Movie War with Drive, well that's an entire plothole in and of itself that contradicts the entire canon up to that point.

To be honest, I actually like this development because I've been wondering who actually killed Takeru's father. They always mention about his fathers death but never specifically mention who killed him.

This episode was pretty good all things considered. Honestly the only things I didn't like were:

A). The entire scene with Frey and Freya.

B). After Adel recalls Gammaizer Wind, liquid, and Climate. He seemingly removes their sentience and makes all of the Gammaizers mindless drones.

Everything else was fine.

Just to clarify for those calling "plothole" for Adel killing Takeru's father.....C'mon now, this isn't that hard to understand. Takeru & Shinnosuke messed with time, so of course, when you mess with time, you screw things around. The stuff that happened with Da Vinci is simply another timeline, and in the main timeline, it was Adel. Simple as that.

Now as for it being Adel.......REALLY, WRITERS...? You couldn't be more creative with this...? It just so happens to be the main villain who killed his father...? SIGH.....

That's not the approach the movie itself seemed to take, though. It pretty much said the way things went in Genesis was how it always went, the characters just couldn't remember because of some bullshit I can't even remember.

The plot of Genesis was pretty much meaningless nonsense start to finish though, so honestly whether it's consistent with the series or not isn't much of an issue, because of course it's not.


Anyway.

Watch how it turns out what Adel actually means is Adonis was Takeru's real dad, so of course he already killed him. I actually really want that to be the plot twist here. It'd be stupid, but I want it to happen.

Yeah, what a coincidence. You'd think these are all characters in a narrative or something. At least hold back the nerd rage until you see what they do with it. If you don't think anything good came of it, THEN you can complain.

Well, I thought it was great. These last couple episodes have sort of been one big story so it's kind of hard to talk about them individually, but there was a lot of good stuff here.

I loved seeing some of the old VotW again and how they showed that they're actually acting on what they learned from the episodes they were in. It really fits with Ghost's themes and it's neat anytime a side character gets to come back. I wonder if only having three of them was a budget thing or just because there are only three Ganmizers. Either way, I love how they got the guy from waaaay back in episode 2. Brings things full circle, or something.

Seeing Takeru's duel with Musashi was also cool, of course. I sort of wish it was just a dude in a suit still but whatever.

Also, I'm gonna be so happy when Ex-Aid premieres and some of you guys can finally be happy, at least until Ex-Aid wears out its welcome too. That's honestly not an insult or anything. I can't imagine how depressing it must be to tune into a show every week and never not hate it. It's like, I'm over here having all this fun and I wonder if I'm even watching the same show as everybody else sometimes.

That doesn't make it not a lazy plot development though. That's like saying 45 episodes into Gaim, "Oh, by the way, Ryoma was the one who killed Kouta's parents this whole time". It's an incredibly boring and predictable plot development and while it could lead to decent payoff, past experiences with this show make it seem unlikely.

It's fine if you like the show, but this post comes across as incredibly snarky. People are entitled to their opinion and because this IS a public form, they're allowed to voice their dissatisfaction. And it has nothing to do with "not being able to be happy". Many of the people here enjoyed Gaim and I'm pretty sure it's universally agreed upon that the 2nd half of Drive was thoroughly enjoyable. Hell, some people here have even admitted to liking certain episodes of this show. Just because people do not share your opinion does not mean they're not allowed to voice theirs'. And honestly, if you're 40 something episodes deep into a show and there's like 5 episodes left, you might as well finish it.

Also there’s plenty of Toku to watch nowadays and both the currently running Sentai and Ultraman shows are awesome in my book, and Thunderbolt Fantasy is something really different and refreshing to me, so there’s no need to think I’m depressed because the newest Rider show sucks balls.

It’s not depressing. It’s just wasting 20 minutes of my week waiting for this show to end, that’s all.

I don't think that is the same though. Gaim never made a point that Kouta's parents were dead in the first episode. It's pretty lazy and straightforward, I guess, but just like with the whole Takeru's mom thing it reminds me more of Drive devoting 10 episodes in the middle to Shinnosuke's dad, and that turned out to be awesome.

I was actually kind of worried I was laying it on a bit thick there. Really sorry if anybody was offended. I never said I wanted anyone to shut up though! I actually really like hearing everyone's opinions on Ghost, even though I pretty massively disagree with most of them.

I liked that part too. I also think the they used those three VotW specifically due to each of them representing a different VotW arc.

The scientist was from the first episode of the "Gather the 15 Heroes" Arc. (Well technically episode 1 was the first episode of that Arc with Takeru summoning Mussashi, but the Scientist was the first person Takeru met in that Arc)

The Space Engineer was from the first episode of the "Connect with the 15 Heroes" Arc. (Again Takeru did that already with Mussashi, but Ryoma came next.)

The Girl was from the first episode of the"Connect with Peoples Emotions" Arc.

Ohh... I didn't quite make that connection. That's really cool. One of my favorite things about Ghost is how much the premise has evolved over the course of the show, so that really does tie everything together.

I feel that in Drive, that plot point came at the perfect time. It was in the middle of the show where the stakes were starting to get higher and after Shinnosuke was kinda starting to become a less interesting character than Gou or Chase. Plus, it set up two great midseason villains.

That plot twist doesn't really do much for Ghost, at least for me, seeing as we're like 2 episodes from the official series finale. Once again, it could pay off, but as I've said in numerous topics, it just feels like it's too little, too late. I wish they got the ball rolling on this stuff like 10 episodes ago.





No foul, man. Trust me, I'm a fan of Kamen Rider Faiz a series that I'm willing to bet most people hate, so I know what it feels like to have a show that you're passionate about that nobody else really seems to dig.

I don't necessarily feel as much of a strong dislike for Ghost as some of the other guys do, for me, it's just a lot of wasted potential, but I'm glad you can see enjoyment out of this show where I can't.

Damn this end arc keeps getting better. Adel is just this sick sociopath right now and him taking over everyone is crazy. I love that they have been building up to this for a while and that Igor setting it up didn't like what happened. Adel taking over everyone and even forcing the Ganmaizers and Igor to obey is insanely mad. I am intrigued with the Makoto vs Makoto storyline and the connection with the Ganmaizers. I love that Makoto and Alain believe in Takeru and have changed so much. Takeru vs Musashi was great and I loved seeing Musashi help Takeru evolve more. Akari's determination is great and I can't wait to see what her experiment brings. That's one hell of a cliffhanger and I can't wait to see everything that'll happen next.

I'll admit I've sorta gravitated towards Adel as a villain. For some reason, I like when the bad guys are just complete sociopaths (see Asakura Takeshi, Professor Banno, Mitsuzane, Ryoma, etc.,)

EDIT: Wow, I just freakin' realized....that's Kaido as Musashi! Was that him doing the voice the whole time? This is blowing my mind.

I can feel that, but it seems like a relatively minor development to me, despite sounding so important. He'll be mad at Adel for a bit and then get over it, likely with the help of his friends or advice from historical figures. It'll definitely serve some purpose, and that's good enough for me.

You think that's bad, try being a fan of Faiz, Kiva, and Wizard. All at once. :lol

It's funny, because up until a few months ago I thought Ghost was pretty massively flawed too, and it is, but talking to people on this forum has made me realize I'm way more protective of it than a lot of other shows.

I thought it was really weird at first they made Adel the main villain of the show since he's just some random, unintimidating dude, but these last 6 episodes or so have really put into perspective why they did it. He's essentially the reverse of Takeru. Someone who becomes more and more evil because he systematically shuts out the opinions and feelings of everyone around him, including the people who care about him.

The thing I've realized about Ghost is that it might be the most thematically strong Kamen Rider show out there (no joke), and Adel is actually a great example of why. The show has always focused on the value of friendship and listening to others and other such gooey stuff, so it was a great move to make the villain the complete antithesis of that, more so than a villain usually is.

The themes and concepts in Ghost are SO strong that it kind of dulls the mediocrity of the rest of it for me. Despite all of the things I've disliked about it, I can't help but give the show credit for all of the subtle references, parallel connections, and subtext.

During the first quarter of Ghost I remember thinking it was on the fast track to becoming an all-time favorite for me, but then as it moved along I started to have some of the same problems other people were. I never stopped liking it, but I ruled out the possibility it would ever be very high on my list.

I see the problems, you know? I see Fake!Makoto show up to fight Real!Makoto every episode because neither of them would have anything to do otherwise. I see Onari being a moron. I see a million side-plots competing for attention in a juggling act no writer should be insane enough to attempt. But ever since I started thinking back on the show on a broader level while making all these counterarguments and whatnot, I've come to the conclusion I just don't care.

Ghost has an incredibly strong core of ideas that keeps it really focused despite its messier elements, and I really do believe it to be more than the sum of its parts. Not to mention a lot of those parts are actually pretty good to begin with.

I think Takuro Fukuda just doesn't know what the direction for Kamen Rider Ghost like Riku Sanjo doesn't know about the concept of Super Sentai

I feel he doesn't put a lot of effort, He just doing a writing stuff to get his paycheck!

I hope Yuya Takahashi know the direction he want for Kamen Rider Ex-Aid.

Believe it or not, I also think Kyoryuger was great too.

There were some good moments near the end as the plot started moving into its final phases, but a lot of the episode still felt like the show was just killing time because they had to fill up the running time. I'm not sure which I'm more tired of hearing at this point: "infinite potential!" or "Tenkuuji Takeru is the key."

I can agree the latter is a pretty underwhelming attempt to build suspense but I will never get tired of hearing about Infinite Potential™. I absolutely love how Ghost intertwined its final form with its plot to that extent.

I'm usually pretty meh on final forms in general, even if I like them, but Mugen is on a whole other level for me. It's easily my favorite of any show and at this point I can't even be bothered Ore never shows up anymore. It's that good.

Could you clarify on this more? Cuz I personally barely ever saw why this message should be seen as a moral theme of the show. (Hence why I personally am another of those who gets annoyed at Takeru's "Infinite Potential" blurbs) I understood Takeru's father Ryu's usage of the term, because he was obviously referring to the fact that he believed his son was capable of great things in the future. But when going to Takeru, who is using the term to mean that humans in general are capable of great things.....EEEEEHHH, not really seeing how this message meshes well with his Final Form, Mugen, which is based on Emotions(which the show has STILL not bothered to fully explain just how he got that power), and the way the VotWs have been getting their problems solved. I don't really see things such as brothers making up with each other or a man having to take his friend into custody as proof of "humanity's INFINITE potential..." This is one of the reasons I have such a hard time taking things Takeru says about humanity so seriously, like for example his speech to Adel when fighting him when he was using the weapon Ganmaizers. If this show wants to harp on humanity having potential of INFINITE, then I'd kinda expect this to refer to things such as humans achieving great things that make a positive impact on the future of humanity. After all, isn't Adel's reasoning for hating humanity the fact that humans are so flawed & corrupt to nature & each other?

Well I'll say upfront it is a bit over the top to call some of the things they do "infinite" like it's really impressive, but that cheesiness is something I personally find endearing.

Exactly, and Takeru is all about how humans have the power to overcome those flaws by understanding each other and working together. Hence, Infinite Potential.™

This is why it's important that Takeru doesn't get the special attacks by directly feeling the emotions himself. He grows as a person because he empathizes with others, and he also literally grows stronger because he gets a cool new move out of it. This is what I mean. Plenty of final forms fill a role in the plot nicely enough but Mugen directly evolves with the character, which I find really cool.

It's a small steps kind of thing. If they can make a little change for the better today, maybe they can make a big one tommorow. Again, pretty cheesy, but I think it works in this show.

One of the many things I didn't even realize was great about Ghost until a couple months ago is how prominent the theme of growth is throughout, and Mugen is the natural evolution of that in my mind, which, on top of the stellar design, is why I like it so much.
