Gosei is Great
 

Reading on the Goseiger series, and watching what little I can find of the episodes, I am looking forward to this maybe being the next series brought here by Saban. But I know they'll be changes. Like they won't call them angels, I can only imagine the angry letters. And they'll call them Head-On zords or something. But I don't care. I adore the series now that I've read up on it. And I know some people have said about how young the asian actors look, but they're angels. They're suppossed to look Cherub-ish. And the backstory on Gosei Knight. So yes, Gosei is Great. ... Haters gonna hate, yo.

The fact that the actors all look to be 12 is the least of my problems with Goseiger, but you are entitled to like what you like and I am entitled to spew vitriol in the direction of the entire production staff.

I don't quite understand why Goseiger gets so much hate. It's not my favorite, but I still enjoyed it. I can sort of think in other people's perspective, but still. I'm not as picky. Especially about TV shows.

It's like being the buffer band between 2 awesome bands, people are gonna throw beers and stuff at ya :D

Why bother wasting time hating? Just watch something else. I'm sorry but I never understood the preoccupation of this fandom and hating on certain shows when there are other things to watch. And that bit about them looking 12, was that in jest? Because it is very much not a fact.

If you mean Shinkenger as one of those bands, then sorry but ug. I take my own advice from above considering shinkenger.

After watching both I can honestly say I prefer Goseiger to Shinkenger. I can understand peoples distaste with Goseiger but I actually really enjoy it.

^ Yes to this and to Den-O. Gosei may not be the best Sentai in it's long history, but it's still good to alot of people. Anywho.

Goseiger's helmet, when they Henshin they always close up the golden symbol above the visor. Is that the symbol for the angelic tribes or?

Yeah its the crests for the Skick, Landick and Seaick tribes

And one thing I love about these series is something I first loved in my first love, Power Rangers Zeo. Interchangable Helmets. It just gives a whole new aspect to the Mecha. It's something I wish Gokaiger did more often. I even love Tensou Gosei Ultimate. Yes it's a big brick, that becomes a big head, but I love him. And Datas Hyper. And that is the one part of this I worry about. Disney, in their infinate wisdom, made the Go-Ongers mute. Yet kept in footage of them speaking... So I'm hoping Saban doesn't do the same thing to Datas if this ever makes it stateside.

Anger in a certain capacity is therapeutic to me.

It's like how people feel better after crying about something, I feel better after my blood has boiled for a little bit.

This will send me to an early grave, but I don't care.

Also yes, the "looking 12" is an exaggeration. They look young and the age I default to for "you look too young for this" is 12.

Yeah but you make it sound as though young characters is new in sentai.

Shinkenger came in pretty hard and strong, and Kamen Rider W was pretty popular at the time. Just bad timing for Goseiger.

Actually, research has shown that expressing anger is not necessarily cathartic, far too often, people get even more angry after. It does little to quell anger. It may feel satisfying though. :)

As for Goseiger, I've only watched bits of it, so I can't say too much. I will say that this thread shows great diversity of opinion for Super Sentai. Some love Goseiger, others hate it, some think Shinkenger is the ideal Sentai series, while others despise it, etc. Super Sentai and Kamen Rider are some of the few series I know that has attracted such diversity of opinion.

It isn't my favorite sentai but I think Goseiger has one of the best if not the best suits and zords out of all sentai I've seen. that's primarily what made me watch the whole series. the only thing I really disliked about the series was that they usually got their new zords or power ups for almost no reason. It would have been nice if they were incorporated into the plot more. I also didn't care for the trading card stuff. I really think it would be a shame if they don't adapt the series to pr. It would be such a waste to not see everything get released as toys and a lot of cool stuff that kids would miss out on.

Like I said on Twitter: For all the people hating Gosei, you know they'll change it up for an american release. They rarely follow the original storyline at all. So you're judging something before it ever comes here. -=- And StarBlast I hope they correct that problem, they probally will. I think they handled the black box very well on Samurai today.

That's if they don't skip Goseiger here in the US

yeah, if anything they drug the whole black box thing out. I don't remember it being mentioned as much in shinkenger.

Even if they did skip Goseiger I kinda wonder if they may just choose to adapt it later.
