Oh he played Flint in Cloudy with a Chance of Meatballs and Fear in Inside Out.

You know, given the names attached to this I'm REALLY hoping it's good now.

I can dig it. Loving these castings.

I mean, he played a guy named Fear and he's going to play a neurotic robot who's catch phrase is "AI YAI YAI YAI YAI!"

Talk about fitting.

Also the fact he's a great comedy actor in general.

The snl skit that he did with Seth MacFarlane where he was a war vet attending MacFarlane's character's ventriloquism class was awesome.

Yeah not feeling this casting choice. There are better options out there.

I think Bill Hader would do a good job as Alpha 5. I mean is Alpha 5 supposed to be comic relief?

This is technically not his first role as Robot, he was consultant of BB-8 along with Ben Schwartz! Even he confirmed his involvement in Jimmy Kimmel interview!

This movie just keeps getting better and better. I have high hopes for this movie, I'm really hoping I'm not disappointed.

That's all well and good.
But what about the suit?
Are they gonna pull a Vision and have Alpha just be Hader in a red and gold suit?

I don't think I'd mind if they turned him into a character something similar to Coran from Voltron: Legendary Defender. An eccentric technician/informational type and a direct sidekick to the main alien commander of the team.

Loved him as Andy Warhol in Men In Black 3, definitely interested.

Bryan Cranston was cast months ago.

The man does have decent voice acting cred.
Looking forward to his rendition of Alpha 5.

Not bad. My only hope is that the younger actors don't overshadowed by the seasoned veterans, even if Cranston and Hader will both be in costume/voice.
