So I was waiting pretty patiently for this chick to come out. But fortunately shes sold out on all my usually sites.

Anyone know where I can still find one?

Which suit is she in?

I think it might be Other M. Not 100% though. It looks awesome regardless. It would have went great with the upcoming Link.

Also, yeah its definitely the Other M suit. I had her preordered but then had to cancel when June announced an ungodly amount of Figuarts. Hoping I can pick her up at a con this summer.

Agreed. I hope her price doesnt get too inflated. Shes selling for $100 on amazon and ebay. BBTS is even sold out at $65 a piece.

Funny, I would almost kill for a figure of Samus a few years ago, but her lack of appealing games lately has dampened my interest in recent years, even if the Figma is near perfect a representation of her.

It looks like the Varia suit, but it may be the version from Other M.
Which is a shame. Other M is the only Metroid game I hated. Hell, I even loved Metroid Prime Pinball :lol

I hesitate to ask this...but how bad exactly was Other M? I stopped Metroid gaming because I never got used to the FPS Prime games, I was always a bigger fan of the old school "Metroidvania" style 2D games.

Gameplay-wise, it was decent. It was 3rd person but you could go into a more Prime-like first person view (But you couldn't move during first person mode).

My problem with Other M is the character named Adam though. It turned Samus, lone bounty hunter who didn't need to rely on anyone into a helpless little girl who wouldn't even tie her shoes unless Adam gave her the order. He (And the way they handled Samus, changing her from a silent (Barring inner thoughts) fighter to a "War is hell" drama school actor) ruined the game for me.

I don't really blame Adam's existence for Other M having a bad main character. They dealt with him fine in Fusion, and I'd say it gave Samus a little humanity. Now, the perversion of their relationship that was at the forefront of Other M was wrong.

Giving Samus more character is fine. Her blind dependency on Adam was my problem.
In Fusion, we only got snippets of his character and it was all in the form of inner monologue from Samus and as retrospective.

I'm still dying to add her to my collection though...

I gotta wait till all my July preorders are in before AmiAmi ships her to me.

Still cannot believe they're using the Other M version for this Figma. I was talking about how bad the game was at work with my supervisor a couple of days ago. I mean, why even do this if you can't find a more flattering portrayal of Samus?

They're using the Other M version for the simple reason of it being the newest game. Same reason the Link they did is the Skyward Sword version.
