SHMA poster versions of Godzilla and MechaGodzilla
 

So we will be getting poster versions of Godzilla 93 and MechaGodzilla 93.

Jesus Christ they really do make every possible Heisei / Millennium figure before giving us some Showa, don’t they?

Seems legit though, Tamashii MIX is a property they’ve been using lately.

That being said the Mechagodzilla looks tempting. As long as it's a retail release that is, my interest ends if I have to buy this from a middleman since it really is just a concept form that appeared on one poster.

Hope they give us SpaceG and Destoryah Poster version.

They are just determined to not give us any Showa monsters.

At least we are getting a pretty cool MG.

Wait a minute if it's supposed to by the 93 Mechagodzilla why are they showing the Millennium version( Kiryu)?

It's not Kiryu; this Mechagodzilla, and the Godzilla as well, are based on the stylized artwork from the theatrical poster of Godzilla vs. Mechagodzilla.

I'm still waiting for classic MechaGodzilla, but eh, I like the look of the one on the poster.

Neat. I mean there are better figure candidates sure but I do love obscure stuff like this.

Because apparently they don't sell very well in Japan. Not that this line has given them much opportunity but that's the reason most commonly cited for the lack of Showa merch.

Its the opposite of Ultraman, where the Heisei stuff is largely ignored but Showa merch sells like hot cakes.

MechaG is at least different enough to be interesting, so I could go after that one. Not really feeling Godzilla.

Is that MechaG even a MonsterArt or is that just there to promote the new Godzilla?

Either way, seems like a waste to me to do a version that isn't even real when there are actual movie versions to do.

I don't buy that bullcrap of an answer they give. They released 1 Showa figure, and they made his size tiny and gave him a huge gap between his spines. It's not like they released 5 Showa monsters and all 5 failed, they are basing it off one poorly made figure.

X-Plus seems to have no problem releasing Showa guys and they are like 40x more in price.

It also doesn't explain the lack of Millennium figures. Again, all we have gotten are MechaGs and Godzillas.

Yeah, I mean, the Sci-Fi Revoltech line released ONLY Showa figures (as far as Godzilla goes) and they're still going strong.
