I hope this is like TMNT and they have a classic collector's line of super-articulated mini rangers.

Yeah that's rough. Reminds me of old Mega Bloks. Like, it's kinda shocking how bad that is when you see their other lines.

Looks like the reason the torso is so long is to allow three of the minifigures to fit in the chest. It's a lot bigger than I expected it to be and looks better than I initially thought but I'm still not sold on it. The lack of knee and elbow joints is disappointing and it looks more fragile than the Samurai megabloks zords.

Man that's a rough Megazord. Especially disappointing how bad the individual zords look. (and no pink ranger yet, hrrmmm.)

Mega usually does great collector lines. I bet BOA made them make the sets purposely shitty as to not compete with their own megazords. :lol

As someone who collects Halo MB and has dabbled in TMNT and COD, this is almost difficult to accept as a Mega Bloks set.

That's a sad fuckin' Lord Zedd, but hey new moudl staff for him at least.

Yeah, doesn't really look much like Zedd. The quality of Megabloks has definitely gone down since they first started making Power Ranger mini figures. The Samurai ones were the best with molded helmets which looked great! Now the decal applications look cheap and the inaccurate weapons make these look lazy.

Well, the quality of Power Rangers Mega Bloks has gone down, but the rest of MB has only gone up. Their Halo figures are fully sculpted, posable, and painted, which makes these really stand out.

God those are awful. I really liked the KO-Lego Samurai blindbags as well.

Wow, what happened? I still have a couple Samurai minifigs and they looked great...Why the sudden design shift?

I wish they'd go the halo route and make them fully sculpted/posable. Those are some of the best minifigs around.

Yup. Those outshine normal action figures like TMNT and Power Rangers itself in terms of how much detail is put into something so small.

These are awful. I mean, this is the same company that does the Destiny sets.

Which is so weird, like hands down the Halo and Destiny sets are some of my favorite building sets ever, it's almost hard to imagine that a company that makes those are churning out these.

Yeah, and it really sucks that anyone would still call these "KO Lego" when in many ways Mega has surpassed Lego. Mega only improves, wheras Lego stagnates. Mega is the G Stone to to Lego's Loud G Stone.

But these make a tough arguement to the contrary. So sad. I guess PR is still mostly a "kids" thing to Mega.

Tinfoil hats on: I think Bandai probably dictates the quality of design for these. Like I said, if we got PR figures from Mega to he same quality as Halo or Destiny or the TMNT Classics, they'd outshine the real PR figs in sculpt and articulation. And that'd be pretty fucking embarassing.

Oh, okay good, so I'm not the only one who thinks that might be the case, because if they did make them on the same level those would pretty much blow anything Bandai had out of the water.
Honestly I'd prefer the old MB Ranger sets to these, the ones from Ninja Storm and Dino Thunder, those might have legit looked like Lego knockoffs but at least they looked like *good* lego knockoffs that had sculpted heads.
I mean c'mob Zed looks like some kinda weird Ranger like that.

Looks like the new sets are starting to show up in stores. Found them at a local TRU in Canada:

I have to say the packaging looks a bit boring to me. I actually though the front of the T-rex box was the back but it wasn't. lol. I only ended up getting a blind pack and molested the packs looking for the white ranger which is the really the only one I want from this set. A look at the front of the packaging:

And succeeded! Looks like there are now more heads with helmet combinations. The head is just one piece and connects via a ball peg which adds some articulation. The body also came in one piece in the bag though the instructions show to attach the legs.

The shoulders are now on a rotating hinge which also adds articulation which is nice but Saba doesn't look like Saba at all.

At first I didn't think there were codes but after a closer inspection of the package when I got home, found there is a code stamped in black above the bar code. For reference, mine was A06096ES. Not sure if it'll help identify the figures like in the past though.

Well that's... Something, I wonder how the heads fit on the Halo bodies, might be able to make some neat customs.
