YES YES YES! That Megazord is awesome looking, unlike most Megazords now, and the suits are different, but they also look cool and the helmet is reminiscent of Megaranger.

As always, if one of the extra rangers is female, it means the basic team only has one woman. Because god forbid there be three women on a team of at least nine.

I really like the suits, but the toys aren't doing it for me. Looks like another collectathon so maybe that's a good thing, and I can save myself the headache of trying to get all of the little orb thingies.

How many blue colored wolf mecha are there in Super Sentai? The only blue colored wolf mecha i can think of is God Logan from 1994's Ninja Sentai Kakuranger.

They're taking chances - maybe a bit like a hybrid of Sentai and Metal Hero or, as I and others have said elsewhere, a little inspired by their own imitators in Chinese toku (Giant Saver has a similar hybrid feel). I'm interested!

Everything looks super cool but I'm definitely taking a break on collecting anything besides ex-aid stuff right now. The crazy thing is that I've been working on a comic for about 4 months about a new toku hero who is CHAMELEON themed. Of course there had to be a chameleon character. My character is a male and doesn't seem to share any visuals with the sentai character but there is a female in my story who also transforms with a frog theme and she has FROG EYES on the top of her helmet.. ehh. My comic is probably going to get released some time around the start of this series too, haha. Oh, my character also transform with a wrist device... But my "device" is just a slap bracelet, haha. Glad I didn't go with orbs.

I think people are judging just by the Skirts on the figures. Yellow doesn't have one so most think Yellow is male.

You sure? No skirt, A-stance, and the figure looks to be just a headswap-repaint of the dudes.

Well...I heard 42 is the answer to Life's ultimate question. Anyway, I'm loving what I see. I wonder how they're going to handle having so many members. I'd like to see them handle it like Gransazer did, the main male and female are always there but everyone else comes and goes as they pleased, but I doubt they will.

That "yellow is a female" started with me based on the first, rough image where yellow was between the pink and green who are in generically feminine stances. Maybe he's a brainiac nerd.

They're actually trying again! Bandai had me really worried with the overlap of Zyuohger and Ex-Aid. The return of the word "-ranger" to the title is a nice return to form.

Oh... oh God. Are those zords that actually... actually look like things!? And a Megazord that looks... looks decent despite the collectible gimmick?

I call fake. Sentai nowadays is supposed to be all about bricks that only childishly resemble their namesake form, and Megazords that look like afterthoughts

Really the only criticism I have is the Megazord is a little chunky, but not horrible, (reminds me of the SPD Megazord, but hey it's not actual baby blocks) and I wish the helmets had silver or white trim along the patterns to see them better. The best helmets always have a healthy dose of white/silver to pick out the details. But holy shit, what an improvement.

And hey their weapon does the old timey ranger thing (I think we last saw it in Mystic Force) of having different modes for each ranger.

Also, damn, I am loving everything I'm seeing here. First time I love the suits and the mecha! So I bet the story will suck. Can't win 'em all!

This is as far from "safe sentai" as I've ever seen. And I was getting real tired of safe sentai.

Or the electronics will ahve an even more annoying voice than Zyuhoger's.

So I guess I'm the only one here whose opinion is even slightly negative? I'm kind of amazed everyone is considering this stuff an improvement over the past couple years when it seems like more of the same (as in being kind of weird. Obviously this is all pretty unique). The robot is a little "puffy" looking and the suits are pretty out there. I was honestly expecting everyone to call this stuff further proof that Toei/Bandai hate them, but hey, I'm happy to be wrong.

Personally nothing so far is instantly clicking with me, but I don't dislike the designs. I imagine by the time we have a trailer I'll be more on-board with them. Those helmets especially will take some getting used to.

Also, holy s***, even SPLIT LIP is happy about the mecha. I don't really think that lion looks any more like a lion than Cube Eagle looks like an eagle, and the robot itself has that same "generic face" as the last half-decade or so, but again, I'm not exactly sad about this, just surprised.

It's just... after Ex-Aid and... pretty much every Sentai since Gokaiger, I'm not used to seeing instant approval like this before we even have nice pictures.

The suits look cool and the auxilary mecha look good. Not sure what I think of the main mecha, but I'll wait till we get a better look at them. I am a bit dissapointed that the Yellow Ranger isn't a woman like originally thought. With the team starting off with nine of them, having a third of that team be women would have been nice. I really like that some of the suits have some more unique details to them. I especially like the Black Ranger's look.

I've never really watched a Sentai series before, but I might give this one a watch... Also, while I actually kinda like the cube abimal mecha from this year, I do want to see this be the next PR series after Ninja Steel wraps up.

Though part of the reason SPLIT LIP's reaction in particular surprised me so much is because, despite me being a weirdo who thinks Zyuoh King, Shurikenjin and ToQ-Oh are all nice enough robots, we actually seem to have really similar tastes in "cool" Sentai mecha (Gao King and Victory Robo are the bomb, basically), and Kyuren-Oh isn't quite the return to form I'm still holding out hope for. I do dig the mecha so far though. There's a nice variety while still giving the main robot a unified theme of animals, which has always been my preference over vehicle-based ones.

Everyone else's positivity is already rubbing off on me, though. Honestly my biggest problem so far is less to do with the designs and more concern about how the nine person team is going to be handled. It seems like wasting the whole premise to just have a normal size of five and then "the four other guys", so hopefully whatever the show does ends up making sense. I was hoping for three teams of three, myself. It would kept the post-anniversary trend going too.
