The story takes place in the distant future after the universe has been dominated by the evil Jack Matter organization. The Kyuranger are warriors chosen by the Kyutama to transform, with each member representing a different constellation.

Hmm, this must be the first time an opening theme title does not reference the team at all even the slightest bit. Closest being Go-Busters.

I'm keen on the behind the scenes crew, but intrigued by the new position. I wonder if the network is dipping an oar in the water to exercise a little more control over the final product. Whatever it turns out to be, I can't wait for more info on this show.

If I recall correctly max limit to banner size is 500 pixels wide and 350 pixels tall. You might wanna shrink it down a bit vertically.

I'm hyped too. That's why I want something Kyuranger for my banner. But I want something that no one else has. I'm a horrible artist so I can't draw anything. I don't know how to work photoshop/whatever programs like that, or imgur for some reason. I'm also horrible at searching for things, I can never type in the right words to find what I'm looking for. So I have to rely on others to get things done for me. So I'm always at the mercy of time and sheer dumb luck.

I am intrigued in what the new Producer position means for the series. Also excited for production team too.

I feel ya I'm no artiest my self, but what you could try doing is take the image and crop it out around Orange on MS paint and right your name on it. It might not look good but it will be yours

I should also mention that I have really bad OCD. If I want an image of a character, I want a fullbody, not almost. Yellow is in the way of his legs.

i know exactly how you feel and honestly searching is not what it use to be. use to be every word added but now search engines search based on core phrases and words. i hope you find something to like and I may change this come march we will see

These are not good signs, but hopefully the series is fresh enough that it won't matter.

Unless you disliked every single episode of these shows or know which ones they wrote and still dislike them, this is an odd judgment to make so quickly.

I agree that the writer will be a questionable one I can give them a slide with Ghost only because that was a mess but Ninninger that is a different story. Does anyone know what episodes this writer has done, because I really like this idea but I also Liked Ninninger's idea before the crap show aired.

The Gaim episodes, except for the last two, were done with Urobutchi. The episodes Mouri did solo tied into film projects. (Kikaider Reboot and the summer movie) He's also done a couple of other VS movies.

Ghost is all over the place and its hard to accurately judge anyone but the head writer and producer, I think. You get this stretch of almost three months without the head writing doing an episode. Around episode 38/39, the TV Asahi producer is given the chief producer credit over the Toei producer. (something that happened from the beginning with Ex-Aid and will happen with Kyuranger)

Oh god, he did the worst episode of Ninninger!!! "The Kunoichi that Loved Yakumo." In fact, he did all of the Love Yakumo episodes.

Hmm I have no clue about Ninninger, but he has done episodes that I liked. Ugh I hope he can do the job because this seems like the series will be a little dark.

Ehh, I wont worry too much. With an ending song title like Kyutama Dancing it probably will fluxuate from bright to gritty depending on the story. Now if the show was gritty all the time and Kyutama Dancing was a slow sad ballad where they have the rangers do depressing interpretive dancing that would be hilarious.

It is still possible that they could go a route that can make it not so dark. From the little bit of sentai I have seen I can tell anything is possible.

I doubt it unless they're suddenly angling for a slightly older demographic. Sentai has been trending lighter in tone for years. The simplicity of the toys this time around leads me to suspect they're still aiming for very young viewers, so I can't see them getting too dark, regardless of what the premise is. Consider how Space Empire Zangyack was played in Gokaiger: they were supposed to be successful galactic conquerors, but it was completely undercut by their buffoonish Emperor.

Seeing as how Sentai has been a ratings failure since Go-Busters, perhaps they decided it was time to try something new and are starting by aiming for an older audience, especially since Kamen Rider has gone all childish for the last few series.

Jack Matter is a pun. Jaaku is the Japanese world for evil or dark and matter is...well, matter. Essentially, they're dark matter.

I think this is probably why the TV Asahi producers are now credited as the chief producers on Kamen Rider and Sentai. Granted, it's me jumping to conclusions, but maybe the consistently lowering ratings finally hit a threshold they weren't comfortable with despite the toy sales?

I checked the katakana and I don't think the bad guys should be written as JACK MATTER at all.
It should be JARK MATTER(JARK being a portmanteau of ja-aku and dark, ja-aku means nefarious or demonic) based on how it is written in katakana.
The reason is because "Jack" is commonly written as ジャック, yet the name of the bad guys are written as ジャークマター, and notice how ジャック and ジャーク are not just written differently, but also pronounced differently(subtle but still different).
Thus why I think it should be Jark Matter until Toei says otherwise.

Sounds pretty feasible to me.
