So the open helmets during battle are going to be a thing. Did someone not get the memo that it looks really bad? It was terrible the first time they tried it for the first movie, it was terrible in ninja storm, guess what? It's terrible the third time too!

Yup. Still looks awful but, somehow, moreso.

It's About time we got This Trailer. I Loved it All. Not awful one bit. I can't wait to see the movie.

Dear god you people are negative.

The trailer is great. The perfect mix of cheesy nostalgia meets modern superheroes meets real life design. The suits look damn good, love the design of Zordon and them explaining the Command Center as a buried spaceship, Rita is terrifying, and the zord action looks great. Yes, the visors come up... in the zords. When they are on the ground they are close. Big friggin' deal.

Super hyped for this.

God forbid someone have a different opinion than you, right? You think it will be great, good on you. I hope you go and drop $10 or whatever and enjoy the thing. It doesn't appeal to me and, whether people like it or not, I have just as much right to express that opinion as anyone who feels the need to jump for joy.

the only thing i did not like in the traile ris the music other then that it was really good trailer.

Blehh. It looks pretty cool on the surface, but "reading between the lines", for lack of a better phrase, it's blatantly formulaic. The comedy also reminds me very much of the Transformers films, in a bad way. Hell, the "jokes" shown here are worse.

I am now definitely seeing this movie. Still going in with low expectations but I am definitely seeing this.

So hip hop preview actually 'did it' to make me a bit more interested. Actually, what helped was that the actors seem genuinely into it. We'll see how it develops. I still don't like Goldar, and I really dislike the Zord and Alpha designs. But I'm giving it a chance. I think we're into the 'cautiously pessimistic' zone.

And besides, Goldar does make me want to go buy cheese so how is that a negative. :lolol
That or Baskin Robbins.

I will say though for some reason the Kanye track fit well and that brawl session they got going on ain't that bad.

This movie actually doesn't look too bad. It is a cheesy action scifi but it's still pretty cool. I know a lot people are not going to like Zordon but I think this version is cooler than a head in a tube. Alpha isn't bad I just wish he had a more robotic voice.

General thoughts.
Like the new look for Zordon. We were never going to get another head in a tube, but this pulls off the disembodied look rather well.
Alpha looks a lot better here than he did in the promo pics, which is a relief.
Really hoping the "pee in this cup" gag was the only one of it's kind, and that we get better humor than what you could find in a Transformers movie.
This confirms that the Putties are made out of what ever is in the surrounding area. You can see a brief glimpse of one that has some sort of street sign in it. I like it.
It seems like they'll fight Goldar in the Zords for a bit before they form the Megazord, which I like. We almost never see the Rangers fight in their individual Zords outside of the first appearance, so this is nice.
Overall, my outlook on this film is a bit more positive, but I'm still trying to remain cautious. As long as it turns out semi-decent, it'll have beaten most peoples expectations.

Well aa expected the zords in the movie look a lot better but the suits.... thats another thing. I dig the way zordon looks in it and i can get used to alphas new voice. The megazord glimps se got pretty much says that its gonna look like the non transforming one we got firet which i hate... still mix to negative feelings for this.

I found that trailer pretty exciting. Now just because I liked the trailer doesn't mean the movie will be great but I'm still excited to watch it. Feels better seeing the suits and zords in action though.

Zordon works. I like that he's not in a giant tube. Looks nice.
I'm...Slowly adjusting to the suits. So there's that.
Why reveal the faces while in the robot? Why? It looks godawful.
I giggled during the "I'm black" joke. I'll admit that.
It seems like Alpha might have some sass to him. I'm fine with that.

I'm not all that amped over it, but this trailer does give me some hope.

yeah, there's a few parts of the trailer that actually got a good giggle out of me.

It's about time we get to see some action though, I'm really pumped for this movie.

I actually really dig what they're doing with Zordon, it's a pretty good switch from a head in a tube.
Also glad that Alpha seems sassy, and the design doesn't look quite as bad on film, thankfully.
Some of the jokes were actually kinda funny, and the action looks pretty awesome, good signs.
My one real gripe is why the heck the helmets open while they're in the zords? What... What purpose could that possibly serve aside from looking downright silly?

All in! Super excited for this film.

Also, as much as I love the Transformer films, I know the pee jokes get old. However, I feel like this one was appropriately done.

It's a natural reaction to a parent and their troubled kid who just happened to be telling the truth a la Captain Jack Sparrow.

Still though, not really planning on buying any of the toys or figures. But the movie looks like a fun ride, at least once.

This actually looks...pretty decent. I mean, it's not a masterpiece, but neither was the original show.

Looks like solid, cheesy B-movie fun.

The only thing I can't really get behind are some of the design choices, particularly with the Zords. Zordon looks great though.

So Zordon sounds awesome! I have more hope for this film than when it was announced.

They seem to be taking ques from Transformers and Pacific Rim with that Zord battle, and I mean that in the best possible way.

I'm glad the trailer was much better than the last one. I'm still not all that hyped for it, but it did have a couple good points for me. My only fear is that we saw all the cool parts in the trailer.

I agree with the over the top negativity. At this point, based on some of the posts, I have no idea what people are looking for in this movie. They want it to be more like Power Rangers that we grew up with, but then I see stuff saying how it's too formulaic. And I don't mean just here, either.

I'm not going to state how some fans just can't be happy, as I'm instead curious as to what could be done to make this what you'd enjoy more, disregarding the aesthetics we've all discussed ad nauseam, of course.

BTW Thessair, anytime someone comments on others being negative towards something they like you alwways bust in with "they have the right to have their opinion". Which in turn almost makes it sound like you don't want that person to say theirs because it goes against yours/theirs. I've been here for two years. I've seen you be a bit of a....y'know over small and insignificant things that were only big to you. So don't condemn others for doing what you do. You're not all high and mighty. XD

Back to the trailer, am I the only one who saw that Jason is rescuing his dad? Kinda hard to tell because it is so quick but it is clearly his dad he'd reaching for.

Yeah. I saw that too. I mean, wouldn't you save your dad in this situation? Wouldn't any of us save our family and friends first? I sure would.

I never once said people can't complain about negative opinions. If you're getting that out of my comments, that's your issue. What I have a problem with is people slinging out attacks for anyone who doesn't share their opinion, positive or negative. There's no point in lashing out. I have no issue with his opinion and, flat out, said I hope he enjoys the movie. Yeah, I'm a real jackass all right.

He got mad because I made a comment pointing out that people were being negative, I asked what his problem was and pointed out that I wasn't doing what he thought I was doing (IE attacking people for having said opinions), and he decided to put me on his ignore list. Back to the trailer, I wonder if Jason WILL be able to save his father, though. It looked like he was pinned under something and considering we see moments later Jason crawling through the dirt after an explosion, I wonder if this will be a matter of "To late to save him" and "I'm proud of you son-errk, dead"

In not so negative news: I've been very, very critical of this movie. I've been disgusted by every design reveal, every toy reveal, every new character reveal (with the exception of Alpha, who is adorbs). But I actually enjoyed this trailer! I still hate the designs and stuff, but there's enough familiar sentai iconography to get my motor running. Color coded heroes karate'ing monsters before jumping in a giant robot? Ugly suits be damned, that shit is my jam. XD
