Power Rangers Ninja Steel Full Opening/Theme/Morphing Sequence Released
|
Don't think it's as good as the Dino Charge theme was but it's serviceable.
|
here's my issue with this,
1.too much go go power rangers, at least dino charge did it once in the whole song and made more catchy. 2. why cant they put the ranger suits next to the human rangers? is it that hard to make some changes? i mean they have been doing this since megaforce. it's so annoying. 3. yes, it's confirmed they are not using the civilian ninja suits, i feel like the writers dont care about theme, they care more about putting mmpr themes in every series, it's like you cant move on from that and do something different related to the themes. that's why i stopped watching pr after zeo because it's the same stuff over and over again. |
It isn't bad, and at least it is trying t be its own song and not a re-hash of the original. Will say that the whole Go Go is a little overused.
|
One of the issues I have with the song is that it feels (at least to me) like it's "ending" too many times. I always expect the song to be over but it just keeps going :lol

Not as a good as Dino Charge by a long shot but better than the other recent stuff we got. I guess my problem is that it doesn't have the 'feel' of fitting the series. Dino Charge 100% felt like a right fit, with the drums and the deep 'power rangers power rangers power rangers' forming an ancient chant. This felt a bit more cookie cutter. |
One thing that sticks out to me about the theme I don't like that drives me crazy whenever I hear it is the second "Go Go Power Rangers" that shifts up a pitch. It sounds like it'll resolve a different way and when it doesn't, it drives me nuts.
It's catchy enough that I've had it stuck in my head already (probably also because it's just a new song I've listened to), but that melody is odd. At times it feels like they were just trying to fill the space with words and just crammed too much in. Also, I haaaaate, the key change when it goes back to the verse. This is a really small note and not a deal breaker or anything, but the line: Quote:

Definitely will take getting used to but.... I kinda like the whole traditional flutes and strings thing they got going on.
Buy yeah the composition overall feels a bit messy when first listening to it. |
I...
I actually like how the background music sounds stereotypicaly ninja-like, and the opening adds a lot more things to the story without even really doing much. Alas, while it does do a lot of things right, it also seems to have the problem with 'ending' multiple times. However, it feels INCREDIBLY longer the the Dino Charge one for some reason...don't know why, but it just does. Still, I like it!!!
|
I liked it. Better then i was thinking it would be.
|
It's not amazing, but it's nice to see we're finally through with just having variations of the original theme.
|
Did yall notice how when they start presenting the rangers in the opening credits and they have a shape of the shuriken behind them the yellow rangers shape for the shuriken is the pinks shuriken?
|
1) This might be the worst use of Go Go Power Rangers. It doesn't fit the rest of the song and it breaks up the song 3 times.
2) What the hell did they do to the Nero costume?! |
I liked everything in this first ep. BUT... I Call B.S. on all of them not knowing what Power Rangers are. No 24 years of Rangers that's not going to work.
24 years of saving earth & there Still trying to say that no knows who Rangers are. The only one's that know about Rangers are the bad guy's. But not the human's?? (B.S.!) |

I like the Ninja sound.
At least it's NOT a remix of Go Go Power Rangers like Samurai or Megaforce No wonder why Disney Power Rangers doesn't use Go Go Power Rangers Theme a lot! |
It's okay. Kinda clunky but nowhere near as bad as Mystic Force or Operation Overdrive.

That song was horrible. It sounded ad-libbed,
|
That wasn't very good. The Go Go Power Rangers part felt shoved in, and the singing itself just wasn't done well.
The song wasn't catchy and lacked energy. |
What is up with the new seasons clogging up the last 30 seconds with go go power rangers
|
Was that Venjix in the fight from the ship?
|
Better than I expected, but I am SICK of them shoving Go Go Power Rangers into every season's opening since Samurai.
I know Zeo did as well, but that was a direct continuation and evolution of the original. Can't recall if In Space did, and I don't care about Turbo. But again, those can kinda be excused a bit. Still, opening almost got me interested in checking it out so good job. |
Turbo had a split second inclusion of the "Go Go Power Rangers" beat, without the lyrics, but it felt like part of the song. In Space didn't have it at all.
I mean, most PR themes have the word "Go" in prominence. But they're usually organically added in. Also, is it just me or are morphing sequences these days little more than "they just stand there and spin around?" |
It's got a beat. It's not terrible, but yeah it's like are you done 'Go Go'-ing yet?
Homages. Can't get rid of them, but can at least develop new adverbs for them. |
