KyuRanger Voice Actors & Singers Revealed
 

*Ookami Blue/Garu=Kazuya Nakai (Zoro from One Piece)
*Oushi Black/Champ=Akio Otsuka (Lt. Garuru from Sgt. Frog)
*Tenbin Gold/Balance=Yuki Ono (Ultraman Belial)
*Washi Pink/Raptor 283=Mao Ichimichi "M.A.O." (Luka from Gokaiger)


In addition we also got to see the KyuRangers' commander Sho Lonpo played by Hiroshi Kamiya (Koji from Digimon Frontier).

The opening song "LUCKYSTAR" will be performed by Tomohiro Hatano while the ending is done by Tsuyoshi Matsubara (who did Gokaigers' intro).

Having Mao back as a Ranger makes me so incredibly happy and even more excited for Kyuranger to finally start.

That being said maybe they'll have an episode where Raptor 283 has a human disguise and have Mao play the human form. They did it with Candelira and her voice actress Haruka Tomatsu, and even Dayu and her VA Romi Park.

I wish Kamiya Hiroshi was Balance rather than the mentor. Oh well.

So we have a Sentai including Zoro...F/Z Rider...Josuke...Luka/Luluco...and their mentor is Araragi Koyomi.

Yup, sure, I'm in.

Happy that Luka is back, she was my favorite character from Gokaiger. I usually like Yellow heroes the best. However, I'm not sure if Spada looks like he's a nice person, or incredibly smug. Only time will tell. Another problem that I have is that in the three photos I've seen him in, Naga Rei already looks like an egocentric rat who is going to be the stereotypical "I'm better then all of you, I can do this alone" character that we're always stuck with in some variation at the beginning of the show. The only redeeming thing for him right now is that his suit kinda looks like Gavan, and I'm a HUGE Metal Heroes fan. Hammy looks pretty cool, and I like her suit. Lucky...I'm not sure on what exactly to say about him. There are sources saying the he's the usual LOUD AND EXCITED GOOD WILLED PERFECT HERO WHO IS THE BEST OUT OF ALL THE RANGERS that we've had the last couple of series, but he looks serious and calm. I swear, I'll die if I get a mix of Takeru Shiba and Daigo Kiryu. Raptor 283 looks like she'll be the Candellira of the group. However, her, Garu, Balance, and Champ, I can't really get any ideas. Anyone I forgot...oh, yeah, Stinger...he looks alright. This better be an investing series. The only times I watched Zyuohger where when there was actual plot stuff. Guess what? I understood all of it, and was able to skip 85% of the episodes without actually needing to go and look up what happened in a filler. Which by the way, there was too much filler in Zyuohger, especially for the 40th anniversary series. Kyuranger, good luck, and don't fuck it up!

Oh yeah, fun trivia already and the show is not out yet.
Sho Lonpo is a pun on Sholonpo, or Xiaolongbao in Chinese(do Cantonese people also say Xiaolongbao or is it a Mandarin only thing or vice versa?).
If you are not clear as in what I mean xiaolongbao/shoronpo are a kind of dumplings.

You know the mentor is a pirate this could have Gokai Red be in the show at some point. Also he looks to have Megaranger main villain vibes in him he might be evil at some point in the show.

The cast has really deep background. I like the black bull one the most going to be fun to see what happens.

I love it when Sentai actors/actresses play more than one ranger. So Gokai Yellow's actress is Washi Pink. Interesting. I love the team's jackets. The mentor looks interesting. His staff looks an awful lot like a transformation device. He's a dragon, so maybe we could Draco Violet?

So regarding Luka's actress she has been a voice actress for quite some time now post-Gokaiger under the name M.A.O. and has done some good amount of work for the past 5~6 years or so it seems getting regular appearance roles.

Am I the only one who's still distracted by that Godawful werewolf costume?

The face is really weird and the jacket just makes him look worse, but in his regular clothes he looks kind of like a Zyuman.

Also does it bug anyone's else that Champ's body, except for the chest and head, is the Oushi Black suit and that they didn't give him a unique body?

Yeah he looks uncomfortable as opposed to him without the crew jacket.

It's kinda like Beet J.Stag, whose suit is basically an armored version of the Stag Buster suit. Although in J's case it makes sense since the armor acts as a cocoon of sorts.

Looking at Sho Lonpo I kind of want a Deka Master type thing but as an extra warrior not as a tenth ranger. Maybe make him purple and dragon themed.

Because his voice actor's co-host on the toku radio show Kamen Radiranger is the voice of Ryutaros. And you surely remember what color he is. :)
After hearing commander dumpling as I like to call Sho Lonpo since his name derives from xiaolongbao is voiced by Kamiya I so hope they let Ryutaros and Sho Lonpo have a moment in that Super Hero Taisen film this spring given that they are both purple dragons and the voice actors are toku nuts who are djs of a toei-certified toku radio show.

it's not just Balance who's a Jojo character, so rev up those memes!

Champ's VA (Otsuka) also voiced Wammu. Shou's VA (Kamiya) also voiced video game version (All Star Battle/Eye of Heaven) of Rohan Kishibe.

Also it's hilariously fitting that Garu's VA (Nakai) voiced Gaomon. "Yes, master!" indeed. Oh and he's Wakka's Japanese voice too.

I just wanna say: Hiroshi Kamiya plays a violet dragon. Guess who else played a violet dragon? Kenichi Suzumura. They're more than just VA friends who played twins in Digimon Frontier. They're like spiritual twins or something xDDD

I don't know all of them that well, but for those I do know, I can only say: I like.

And I'm super-happy Matsubara-san is going to sing the ending. He is so talented and also very passionate about Sentai. (And a nice guy too!)

Which is why I want Ryutaros and Commander Dumplings to have a moment where they banter over whatever Toei wants them to in this spring's Super Hero Taisen film. :)
They did have special voice appearances in one of the previous spring toku films as Black and Black RX if I remember correctly so more of those two the merrier.
Plus, the fact that they are co-hosts of the Toei-approved Kamen Radiranger radio show where they talk all things toku with Kamen Rider Girls members further solidifies your statement of them being spiritual twins. I was surprised Kamiya was a toku fanboy when they announced Suzumura and Kamiya were gonna be the djs for that show.
