MMPR: The Movie & Turbo: A Power Rangers Movie Being Re-Released
1 Attachment(s)
Hooray! The classics are back on DVD (not BluRay, sorry), on March 14th.

That's pretty neat. Those aren't exactly classic films, but I guess it's nice to get them out again before the big blockbuster.
|
I remember they re-release them for MMPR's 20th anniversary in 2013. I wish they would put them on Blu-Ray already.
|
YAY!!! This is sooo coool!
|
I've already got the previous DVDs so I can't seem myself buying them again unless it's BD.
|
....why does TURBO get to be the cover art???

They need to incorporate bonus material! I've heard a plethora of details which either were not filmed or cut from the final products, including a rumored battle between Piranhatrons and the Zeo team!

Man I still got these movies on VHS sitting on a box somewhere
|
Grate cover art. I have the first movie 2 pack. But i'm getting this.
|
UK still had the better cover that has both films on but sadly I think this will be coming to UK soon as diffinative cover soon.

I've always been meaning to ask this - how come the American DVD covers seem to use that weird MMPR: The Movie logo rather than the silver one that was actually used on the film's promotional material?
That said the Turbo one is pretty weird there as well. |

If this comes with bonus stuff then $15 does seem like a good deal. Love the dumb original movie even with all its crap, Turbo I like but I had uh more of a history with because my dad. Remember people if you have recorded a copy of a movie make sure its safe. Or you will be like me at 8 years old looking forward to a megazord fight on a snow day only to find out your dad recorded porn over it!

So Fox still owns the rights to the movies?

I just barely remember the PR Turbo movie, but the MMPR movie was my movie growing up. I'll probably get this for the pure nostalgia of it.

As for the new release, this is a blatant attempt to cash in on the PR name before the film but if they really wanted to make money, I would do the double-feature idea but remaster the footage for Blu-Ray and incorporate all the interviews, specials, and deleted scenes for both films because I otherwise I'm not gonna buy it and instead stick to my Fox Double Feature set from 2000. |
We got this already (in the USA), with a better DVD cover, with the same (lack of) features. This is just a cash grab with a crappy logo, probably designed by some FOX KIDS producer's kid who just graduated community college...

>Not bluray
Well then they don't want my money. Already have the original movie on DVD and have zero interest in Turbo. |
To be honest though, I couldn't care less what the covers looked like because the discs would just be going into my 20 seasons coin cases.
