Emu's Driver is fried, and the only hope of defeating Kuroto may be the experimental new Gashat. Can the intern bring out this new game's true potential???

If that episode isn't actually about Poppy kidnapping the main cast, taking them to a deserted island, forcing them to wear skimpy swimming trunks and then play silly beach games for her entertainment I'll be extreme-ly disappointed.

edit: so, fuller thoughts: stream was a laggy shit, and locked me out a few times. So I didn't get that much of the episode.

But what I did get was good. Lots of bringing up Kiriya, lots of Emu being the bigger doctor. Lots of Kuroto getting beat up.

And then that ending, ouch. I mean Kuroto deserved it, but Parad just....wow.

Kuroto got the Game Over, buuuut he hasn't gotten flowers. Hm.

And....Genm is still in the preview thing. When Kiriya died he was off that immediately. Huh...

Next episode looks ominous. Ending the preview with Emu talking about how he has all these reliable allies is just asking for them to get killed off.

We finally see the new president, some Poppy focus (danger!), Graphite's back, and I guess Lucky will be there too. And Chronicle is already finished, I guess! Next episode should really be something.

The Gashat errors in beginning episode remind me to trial and error in game developments

So.....the Dangerous Zombie Gashat not have undead abilities anymore because Kiriya's program in Maximum Gamer Gashat....

The fight is really awesome...remind me to some of final form fights.....

Ex-Aid Maximum Gamer, Brave Hunter Quest Gamer, and Snipe Simulation Gamer finnaly can win after their fight against Genm Zombie Gamer...

But....Pallad kill Kuroto.....hmm...Pallad really remind me to Sora Takigawa (Gremlin) from Kamen Rider Wizard....

Yeah each character interactions in this episode is really good....

This episode remind me to one of episodes in Power Rangers Zeo and Power Rangers Lost Galaxy when the villain leader killed in mid-series.....

Next episode...Graphite is back and Poppy in danger?

Few thoughts on the rewatch. some stuff I forgot to mention and new notes:

-This is actually the first time Hiiro calls Emu, well, Emu. As expected, it's an important moment, and it's obvious that Emu is caught by surprise.

Only makes me more unhappy that Excite decided to casually add "Emu" to one of his lines in 17 (still better than what they did with taiga in 15 though). That's me being a nitpick though.

-From white to orange and teal, to pink. Emu's DNA has had a wild life. Still no idea what it really means. (i wonder if itll turn into rainbows for his final form)

-Although, looking more closely, his DNA actually looks exactly the same as it did before Mighty Brothers was created...white with virus. So...huh? I guess maybe it only changes colors/goes all weird when creating Gashats, and then goes back to normal...rip my theories.

-So, M is back. Ever since 19 Emu has only used Mighty Brothers when transformed, so we've only been seeing him as part of that. This is the first time since the events of that episode that he does the blowing wind/creepy little smile thing before transforming. Does it mean anything??? Only time will tell.

-It's a damn shame that there's no way the toys can do what the Maximum Gama does in the show cause it's kind of cool. It even eats Ex-Aid in the transformation process just as the normal Gama do.

-I appreciate the fact that Poppi is still bad at numbers.

-It's unsurprising but still unfortunate that Maximum Gamer requires so much CGI magic to work. I mean all he was doing is running, and that required CG. Not great. It's a little distracting, really...

-I did mention this, but, damn, Parad. Really caught me by surprise. Dude is spooky.

-Someone else pointed this out on 4chan actually, but the pv does appear to imply that Poppi and Parad are in cahoots. That would definitely be...some sort of twist.

-Also, kind of a shame that Poppi isn't in the label for KRC. That'd be all of them...

Well the preview is up. It seems like Poppi could be in kahoots with the bugsters but my theory is since Dan shot out the bugster gas of DoFiMe and Dragon Knight Hunter that means Dragon Knight Hunter is probably Graphite. But why shoot out the gas for DoFiMe? Two Poppi's. sounds stupid but it's just a crack pot theory of mine. Real shame Dan is dead but since his final picture showed no flowers, also Graphite got flowers but we see that matters none.

If we has two DoReMiFa Beat Bugsters, maybe the other DoReMiFa Beat Bugster beside Asuna will be male version....

The catalog actually mentions Dan Kuroto specifically...though it only says that he kept striving to complete KRC. Past tense.

So, who knows.

Since Pallad steal Dangerous Zombie Gashat from Kuroto, maybe Graphite will become new Genm user.

We're a little less than half way through with this series and two riders are already dead. I thought Kuroto was sick and twisted, but Parad showed his true colors this episode. I'm dying to know who Chronos is now. Rumors are that it'll be Kuroto's dad, but at this point anything is possible. Seems like we'll get a break next week with the annual spring break rider-sentai crossover episode to advertise the movie.

ok...Dan got what he had coming to him...absolutely...

I am just wondering how the suit actor moves in this new suit! Is he on stilts? Plus a lot of CGI was used for the fights, so I don't think that will happen too often...still I really wonder how the show is going to progress now and am eager for more!

It's really telling that I can't even pick a favorite Rider because they're all so good.

Dan's death was pure nightmare fuel, and I enjoy Emu going 'M' mode far too much. And this show really reminds me of an earlier Heisei series.

I love this show already, easily in my Top 3/4 based on the first 23 episodes. Let's hope it doesn't lose too much steam now that Dan's gone (for now).

The fact that they brought up Kiriya's Gamer Driver was appreciated. Dan's old one is going to probably be used by Parad.

The way that it was explained how Emu could create Gashats was also nice. I hated how they previously left it at "Maybe he made it cus oh le Bugster in him?" and never gave a full explanation properly.

However, even though Emu DOES control the Gashats, A) how does he just magically reprogram Dan? If anything, since Kiriya is a glitch in the Rider System, Emu could've only released a patch that would've sealed him up for now...maybe they're doing that??? Have him 'update' and come back??? In fact, how could Parad destroy him if he's still dead? Just because his Gauge is back doesn't mean that he's alive. That's not how anatomy works, along with B) Does that mean the Emu can just go "Oh shit this guy's tough" and make, like, two more LVL 99 Gashats for Brave and Snipe?

Parad betraying him was also a nice touch, and it was so satisfying seeing Dan roll around on the ground, screaming as he's obliterated from the system. Guess Kiriya is laughing at him in Chou Super Hero Taisen!

Also, at the end with Poppi, I'm guessing that the Bugster are sorta...rogue, if you will, in that there is the main group (Graphite, Poppi, and Parad working together from what we know right now), and then ones that where unleashed or 'escaped' from the Buggle Driver. Also, the Kamen Rider Chronicle Gahast will probably just 'update' the Buggle Driver...unless Chronicle can use Buggle Driver 2 and Poppi can use Buggle Driver for same time team up?

Anyway, I did enjoy this episode though, and next episode looks completely amazing! Can't wait for it!

Dammit am I gonna miss Dan Kuroto!
I now have little idea where this is going to go - can't say that about most toku in their mid-season. I'm thinking the new Gem CEO will be comic relief with Pallad as the new big bad and Dan Sr. as the new 'designer' for Taiga and Hiiro's future level ups? I dunno!

This episode was beautiful. I just have no possible other description for it. The betrayal that we knew in some sense was going to happen through Parad was so well done that Kuroto's end is harder to take than Kujo's.

Maximum Mighty gives me a case of the Gurren Laganns, which is not bad, but it's a seriously bulky form. What really makes it though is Emu's ability to control M is increasing. That and Hiro addressing Emu how he does. It's a total broment and I love it.

Not to run too many comparisons, but this series is on my top five with good reason. It's not the theme of video games, but the tone of the series, and the overall mantra of the Riders. They're doctors who are dedicated to helping their patients, and in finding out what makes a good doctor, the concept of a doctors control over life and death is shaping Emu to identify that he doesn't have that control in the end. Gaim was almost too heavy handed in this nature. W and Blade were more definitive about it. I will always contend to people I tell about Kamen Rider series that even though they're marketed as kids shows, they're very dark in a way.

Taiga and Hiiro don't have any future forms, though.

There's a simple explanation for Emu being able to disable the immortality. Kuroto was literally able to cheat death by using a buggy game (DZ doesn't work on Gamer Drivers in canon), Emu 'patched' the game to remove the immortality glitch
EDIT: Also, I assumed the Mighty Brothers XX Gashat could be made because Dan said it would kill a human but make a Bugster stronger

I am really going to miss Kamen Rider Albert Wesker. Maybe he could show up in Amazons?

To be honest, I really liked the Gaim X Toqger and Drive X Ninninger crossovers because they brought a breath of fresh air and gave us a moment to calm down. Ok, maybe not Drive X Ninninger but Gaim X Toqger did. But I enjoyed both of them. But now, I am no looking forward to ExAid X Kyuuranger crossover.

And now I think Emu really is my favorite rider. Just as long as he doesn't become overpowered with Lvl. 99

To sum up my feelings in short:

Maximum Gamer Lv99 is totally badass and arguably my favorite Super Form ever. Emu is totally great with it.

Parad is a badass and I'm glad he took out Kuroto, I was so tired of his God Complex.

Hiiro was great being the mentor to Emu and knowing he had the power to make a new game himself.

Taiga I agreed with, with the whole end the guy who will hurt more lives.

I just love Emu though that he tried to change Kuroto by getting rid of his ability to transform and I just love that he got heart broken over this guy who was doing so much abuse to him. It just shows how great of a character he is.

I am loving the story and cannot wait to see Kamen Riders vs The Bugsters as the main focus now rather than Genm trying to get more powerful. Definitely can't wait for more.

If Ex Aid continues like this it its next 20 episodes it will become my favorite Rider series of all time. Genm was an amazing character and all his actor Tetsuya Iwanaga deserves all the praise.

This is it for the next 25+ episodes? I dunno about that.

I guess now the question is who's Kamen Rider Chronos supposed to be? Parad has his combined form, so it's either Dan Masamune or the new president of Genm. Also based off the dialogue in the preview, it seems that poppy was reprogramed at the start and is now evil again.
