Best fighter in the Heisei era of Kamen Rider
 

Hey so I've been re watching a lot of the earlier Heisei rider series and I want to know who you guys think is the best fighter in the Heisei Kamen Rider era. I don't mean as in pure power just as if it were to come down to hand to hand combat who do you believe is the best.

I personally think it's between Wizard and Meteor for me. Meteor mostly because he is the Bruce Lee of Kamen Rider and Wizard because in all his battles he an elegance to his fighting style and it seemed like every hit had a purpose. Especially his second fight against Phoenix.

So who do you guys think is the best fighter in the Heisei Rider era? I'd love to hear your answers.

Kamen Rider Kabuto aka Tendou Souji. Pretty much evade and counterattack. Also Hyper Clockup is overpower too. Chalice might be a pretty good secondary rider too.

Ya, Kamen Riders, especially main riders, are pretty notorious for being really over powered. A single Heisei era primary rider is probably enough to take out entire Sentai teams under the right circumstances. Don't forget that most primary rider final forms from Wizard onward are pretty much God mode, literally in Gaim's case. Its impossible to even attempt to figure who's the strongest without any sort of rules in place.

For what's its worth though, my vote is also for Wizard.

I gotta say Kabuto, too. His fighting style is an aggressive counter based style.

Ryuki Survive he got a bike that's also a dragon he can beat any rider with that power.

Kabuto because Kamen Rider is like the Pokemon metagame: if you aren't stupidly fast, why even bother?

Every main rider final form is pretty much evenly match according to crossover logic. However, I don't think Ryuki was a skilled fighter. Kabuto actually train for a whole decade to prepare himself before being chosen by the Kabuto zecter. He possess the powers to slow down time around him and time travel. His perfect zecter is powerful enough to destroy an army of worm footsoldiers. Decade is another strong rider since he possess the powers of all past and future riders like Gokaiger. He also benefits from his vast knowledge about all the riders and their respective enemies. He's also quite good at utilizing different powers of other riders to counter any rider he's facing. He did murder most of the riders in his movie.

I'd have to say it's out of Kabuto and Den-o personally. Kabuto because of his evasive counter fighting style and Den-o because of the fact that each form is a different t imagine which uses a different fighting style, which can come in handy in many cases

Well what way to fill in someone who never watch kabuto before lol. Decade I already knew about but I don't like him that much. I choose Ryuki because they had a few skilled riders like Ryuki, Knight, Ojua and it one of the shows I watch from start to finish. Had no idea kabuto was like that. So my pick for second would be Gaim Final Form bet kabuto can't win against him.

I refuse to believe Gaim is the strongest Rider after watching Kouta get owned in the Drive x Gaim movie. What kind of Space God are you?!

He counters aggressively like you said but with a dose of efficiency.

To be fair he's fighting another space god. Like helheim, the movie villain absorb and expand like like Ego, the living planet. The movie villain might be one of the strongest movie villain with the exceptions of the ones from the Taisen movies.

Ryuki Survive has a poor track record, though.

Love Shinji, but I feel Survive made him equal to the aggressive Riders, and only gave him a real advantage against the mirror monsters.

One who got owned by a Mecha Space God?

Happens to Darkseid every other blue moon, not unreasonable.

I'm going to give this one to Tendou Souji, hands down.

He strikes me as one of the few Heisei riders that doesn't seem like he's totally winging it.

Kamen Rider Amazon Alpha, or at least he's a decent contender.

Skill wise the guy barely looks like he trying.

On a non skill matter, Violent Emotion Decade (I know, I know) can counter most other riders, even without specifically using their own powers against them.

Then of course, there's Zangetsu, who needed 3 other Riders backstabbing him and Flashback-no-jutsu to defeat him.

As I mention before Decade has the best feat since he did defeated the most riders canon or not.

Well, I guess I should ask are we talking about most powerful or most skilled?

Tendou's definitely the most skilled, but most powerful, I would cast a vote for Kuuga. The guy's rider kick could destroy everything within several city blocks, and that's just his SECOND upgrade form.

Well Knight also got Survive mode he was not that much better. To me Shinji was a badass rider who died at the end being a Kamen Rider.

Yeah but that villain stole his power so give him some credit and he defeated that villain in the movie. So it still stands that he a strong rider in the end.

I think it has to do with the level of the gurongi too. Dark Kiva probably could achieve the same result with his King's World End.

My top choices would be either Tendou, Ryusei, or Hibiki. For my money, the best fighters are the ones that don't need their Rider powers to hold their own in a fight and all three of the ones I've mentioned are trained and accomplished martial artists in their own right.

Decade possess some inhuman reflexes and senses in human form along with knowledge of all riders and their powers. Zangetsu is very close to what you're saying too. I would say Mashima brief fight as thebee qualify too. They're both skill fighters that can finish off their enemy without trying or using their finishers.

Wanna know how overpowered Tendou is? He doesn't even neex to be Hyper Kabuto to use Hyper Clock Up. In one of the episodes he fought against Dark Kabuto and predicted Dark Kabuto would bait him by pretending to use a finisher, only to use Put On or something. Then after pretending to fall for it he suddenly disappeared and reappeared as Hyper Kabuto with a Maximum Hyper Swing/Typhoon ready

Ryuusei is definitely up there, I would also say Date and Kagami as well they both pulled off some amazing moves. Yuusuke has 2000 Skills so I wouldn't put it past him either. Ryou is pretty brutal too. Takatora I would say is good too. Weirdly enough Emu being able to translate his video game abilities to his fighting style as a Rider makes him pretty good too.

Oh man, I totally forgot about Yoko and Oren. Those two would definitely go on my list, too.

They're only strong during their debut, but loses a lot after the main character gain 1 power up above them. Meanwhile, Takatora still did well with his Sengoku Driver against Ryoma and Micchy's Genesis Driver.

But the opening post describing fighting ability over sheer power and strength details that it's more a battle of skill rather than biggest gun or laser shooting sword.

Yeah, but Takatora is the best fighter in the series, so that's not really saying much. Oren and Yoko are still great though, and pretty much only started taking Ls when people either teamed up on them, or when characters started getting upgrades just to be even with them.


Without any Rider powers, Yoko, Oren and Takatora would mop the floor with the rest of the cast.

Just to stress how skilled Tendou is, btw, he wasn't really losing any fights until he literally had to fight a version of himself, and was only losing due to emotional distress.

EDIT: ALSO, I'd like to place Taiga Hanaya here as well. Episode Zero states that his training as a radiologist makes him great at targeting weak points, and even with no prior experience with the Gashacon Magnum, he was able to pick it up and use it with ease.

In other words Taiga is a Fist Of The North Star character. :lolol
