Based on Rider and Sentai ones, i decided to make a PR one, enjoy !

I more prefer if all 5 In Space Rangers are aliens from space like Alien Rangers (Ninja Rangers). Yeah, I actually dislike when 4 former Turbo Rangers members become In Space Rangers.

lol and people complain about Kyuranger for being too much focused on earth.

Turbo is better than MMPR and Zeo

MMPR is a terrible show and the 2017 movie is better. I was one of those people who wanted the movie to be different and not faithful to the original show because I feel like they could improve on the original TV series. People act like MMPR is this amazing TV show from the 90's when it was never was.

The show has aged like milk that you forgot to throw out like a week ago. The show is filled with bad acting and writing. Even for a kids show, it could have been way better. MMPR has some decent moments, but the show itself is still really bad. I grew up with the show in the mid 90's and I can admit that the show was terrible when you take off your nostalgia goggles.

When I got back into PR I tried to watch MMPR but quit 7 episodes in. I chugged Time Force within two weeks afterwards.

Even in a 1993-1996 perspective, MMPR is still not very good. It may be the first show in the series, but it still not very good. People like to hate on the later PR shows, but I feel like some of the later shows are better in my opinion.

It's absolute crap. But it's fun absolute crap.

The only thing I hated about the Alien Ranger design (aside from the horrible head piece) was the sea shell belt buckle. XD

Jury is eternally deadlocked! I have to admit that there are some obvious moments that make one cringe when they look back on the original, both in terms of dialogue and plot. You have to wonder how some of the actors got the words out with a straight face! The action was likely the main point for the most part. At the same time, some have suggested that PR showed a degree of potential, while others like VR were just an obvious toy-selling commercial and even worse in terms of acting and dialogue. Also, some of the actors aren't that bad, as one can laugh at Bulk and Skull then and now. The villains are tolerable, especially Goldar who wasn't the comedic relief he eventually became after Season 1. As the seasons progressed, prior to the Alien Rangers, the show was able to merge comedy and seriousness somewhat more fluidly as they had started to establish something of a mythology and history. Originals are always viewed as better even when they aren't. It takes time for something to find itself. The older Saban seasons before the shift to Disney are likely indicative of the older fandom showing their age, and the old tricks not working.

Ninja Steel is take too long to return.

Is that a bad thing? Also it is Nick so yeah. Only thing Ninja Steel related that is taking too damn long is pictures of the Bull Rider Megazord and UFO Megazord.

It's a shame forever red hadn't a part 2.

Saban should have never gotten the rights back.

I would have preferred Disney kept Power Rangers and merged it with Marvel Comics. They could strike a deal with Netflix to air their adaptations of the show along with older seasons. Put a Kevin Feige-like type of person to produce and plan out the direction of the franchise. Work out a deal with Toei to adapt pre-Zyuranger seasons in a spin-off series. No series will be skipped (due to Nickelodeon not being involved with their stupid 20 episodes per season limit). A proper adaptation of Gokaiger (hopefully) and respect to previous seasons by reuniting old rangers with the new cast. We'd actually have a team up of rangers with Marvel superheroes that have been in the planning stages since the 1970's. Possible addition of all Power Rangers teams in Avengers: Infinity War.

If that would not be possible then I think Disney should have gave it to Fox in a trade to reacquire the rights to X-Men and/or the Fantastic Four.

Disney didn't even want PR. They put the shows on a bad time slot and market the show on the very last minute. As bad as current Saban is, at least they market the shows since I do see merchandise for the new shows when I go to local stores.

Not to mention we got Super Sentai on DVD thanks to Saban and Toei being cool with it. At Otakon 2015, Media Blasters told me at their booth that they wanted to bring over Super Sentai on DVD in 2006 or 2007, but Disney was against it.

Marvel while being a subdivision of Disney is still it's own entity. Marvel would have taken far better care of Power Rangers than Disney alone.

I don't think Marvel has the power nor motivation to do such a thing honestly

What part of Disney doesn't want Power Rangers do you not understand?

And no Disney couldn't have bartered PR with Fox for X-Men/FF for two reasons:

1. When Disney ended PR the brand was dead with only Bandai interested in continuing it as a toy only line.

2. Fox doesn't want it either which is why they sold it to Disney in the first place

And Marvel isn't even taking good care of it's own properties right now you expect them to handle PR well? There's a reason Marvel Studios*the guys who make the movies* are independent from the rest of the company now and they're having to relaunch their entire comic line.

And Marvel is only independent as long as Disney allows.

I mean I get that this is controversial opinions but I'd expect some logic.

While the show has aged, the original soundtrack hasn't. The stuff Ron Wasserman put out for that show is timeless.

I agree that the music is fine and the SNES & Genesis PR games are still good. I will give credit for MMPR creating a new wave of people getting into Toku.

My controversial opinion is MMPR isn't that bad sure it hasn't aged well but compared to other early 90s kids shows*that weren't Disney or Batman* It's pretty good.

Ninja Storm is horrible
Jason was much more interesting as Zeo Gold than MMPR Red
SPD is better than Dekaranger
Justin is a good character
Zordon is a bad mentor
Dimetria is just as bad, but she's mildly better because she makes the rangers think
Time Force is better than RPM

I figured this would bug me more but for some reason doesn't.

I like Operation Overdrive and I liked Lothur from Ninja Storm. He is a space ninja luchador that alone is awesome.

I wish someone than Saban and Disney treat the franchise with more respect and dignity.

Difference with Marvel and PR is that PR is a co-license series. Neither Saban or Disney have full control over it. I remember that Disney wanted a PR animated show and Toei said no because they want Disney to buy footage and suits from Super Sentai for the shows.

That's funny, i had the same idea of Marvel produce PR before Disney buy in 2009.
