Those are some cool grunt suits. The bike's kinda lame but that's been the way bikes have been since I want to say Fourze.

Sounds good so far. Fresh writing talent is always nice, and as always seeing proper shots of the suit makes it look a million times better (though I still wish it had a more distinct hook than just asymmetrical eyes). Once we get a trailer I'll probably be in love.

We'll see how much I feel this way after the show starts but, and hopefully this makes sense, right now it feels like the show we would've gotten after Wizard if they didn't decide to go completely nuts and do Gaim. Like I'm getting a strangely nostalgic vibe from it and I don't know why. It feels weird. :p

He wrote Densha Otoko/Train Man, it was a hugely successful J-Drama back in 2005. (supposedly based on a true story about an otaku using 2ch to help him navigate dating an attractive woman he saved from a drunken man on a train) It had a very large cast but handled the characters in great fashion, most of them were pretty fleshed out. His characters in general tend to have pretty unique personalities, not quite your typical archetype, but not suuuuper original either, they find a nice balance.

He;s also worked with a few former Riders, one of his shows starred Kiva, Sasword, and G3's actors. (as well as Ultraman Dyna's)

If you haven't seen it, I would definitely recommend the Densha Otoko TV series. Considering its popularity, I'm sure it's not too difficult to find streaming or track down.

He's new to tokusatsu, but he's definitely not new to writing and I would say is a fairly big name.

Muto's recent claim to fame were the CROWS Zero movies starring Shun Oguri a while back. And yes Densha Otoko is an awesome show. It was quite the show back in the days incorporating the internet bbs subculture in Japan as well as otaku stuff. Speaking of, Our very own Demon Knight/Kamen Rider Sigurd Mr. Namioka was a supporting role in Densha Otoko as one of the bbs users.

Couple more tidbits:

Series composer is one Kenji Kawai, who has done several anime themes.

Monsters will be designed by Taomotsu Shinohara, who previously designed the "Gedoushu" in Shinkenger.

That suit looks so good in sunlight. It's gorgeous. Also just noticed his feet are a rabbits foot, and tank treads. This suit just gets better and better.

No kidding. That's sort of impressive given he's also doing/just did(?) Ultraman Geed's soundtrack. Considering his tracks have a very distinct sound I really like this might actually be the thing about Build that has me the most hyped so far. :lol

The story actually sounds pretty interesting. I like that it has to do with science.

Man Build is just Double 2.0 with bottles. Nice to see a new writer for the show. Build got big shoes to fill in after Ex-Aid lets hope is does just that and not be another mess like Ghost was.

Don't forget Changerion. It is what put him on the toku map.

I see what you did there Toei.

How so? I find it hard to catgorize because I'd consider it very distinct if not for the existence of Kamen Rider W. That the eyes *are* the antennae/crest shapes is pretty distinct. The helmet's mix of asymmetry (colored portions) and symmetry (black portions) is pretty cool, as is the collar. I'm also liking the repeating design element of slashes from the lower left to upper-right.

But despite all the unique things it's doing, it's still really hard for me to look at Build without thinking of W.

Can't wait for this one, looks really promising! But not ready to say goodbye to Ex-Aid yet though... :(

You could say my hype is BUILD-ing with anticipation right now after this news. I am steadily growing more and more excited with each new bit of news.

Why so early this year? Since Decade ended early due to low ratings, it was moved up to October since W came out. Is it because of the timeslot change or something else like this being the final series before the era transition thanks to Akihiro abdicating the throne next year to his son Naruhito?

Honestly? Maybe the writer of Ex-Aid couldn't think of a way to pad out the story so they decided to end it a month earlier. Can't be like Decade because Ex-Aid's toy sales were amazing iirc

For some reason, I feel like we haven't had that many show airing delays this year (which tends to happen multiple times throughout a season), but I could be wrong.
