Kamen Rider Ex-Aid Episode 43- "The White Coat's License!" Discussion
Masamune has fused his Cronus powers with the Gemdeus Virus, becoming the strongest opponent Team CR has ever seen! With Game Disease outbreaks across the country, how can the doctors unite to stop him???
As always you can view this episode via live stream on Saturday by heading over to Taima TV. They play other miscellaneous programs up until the live broadcast starts. Live Streams of the Superhero Time block start at 5:30 PM Eastern Standard Time on Saturdays. |
Hmm...Taiga as Cornus is really cool but he still weaker than Gemdeus Cronus....
I love all 3 main Riders team up in this episode.. Hmm....so the patients become Bugsters and all Riders must kill Gemdeus Cronus to restore patients become human again... Next episode.....Build appeared! :D |
LOL at Dan's fish face. New meme pics incoming.... :D :D :D
|
I feel Kuroto Dan has lot meme from his funny actions. I think the Rider who has lot meme before Kuroto Dan is Oren Pierre Alfonzo (Kamen Rider Bravo).
Genm vs Build: https://scontent-sit4-1.xx.fbcdn.net...18&oe=5A31F807 |
It would be a great episode, especially the part where the main riders teaming up.Throwing one of the original 4 out of the picture for the entire episode it not fun though.

Its not great episode but still good episode
but seriously.... i enjoy taiga as chronus he basically have power of kiwami arms but really this feel to much rush i wish Toei keep taiga using chronus form i mean ever since bang2 simulation his fighting style kinda boring IMO... a gemdus chronus is look good too that sword an shield is good stuff... i wish ex aid have more episode to showcase it, if only ex aid shows sonner and have that extra 3 episode... -_- |
Cronus has Kiwami Arm's powers, they're fighting on the Helheim set, and Dan is wearing one of Kouta's shirts again and calling himself god. If I didn't know better, I'd say these were intentional.

Remember when every KR final forms got de-transformed on strong final boss debut, Wizard Infinity lose to Gremlin, even Kuuga vs Daguva
Muteki didnt get transformed at all since his debut, thats including this episode : he got attacked by Gemdeus Cronus . the only way to beat Muteki : make Emu cant transform |

Cool episode. the fight with Cronus was great
|
What was the point of needing two Chronicle Gashats for Taiga to transform?
This was a great episode. Would've been better if Kuroto, Kiriya, and Parado were in the fight as well. Hopefully next week we could have all the riders against Masamune. Plus we see Build's debut next week. I'm going to be sad to see Ex-Aid go. |
I loved the fight against Gamedeus Cronus, and thought it was really satisfying to see everyone really working together against him. We're almost at the end, and I'm really hoping if all the killed players do get revived after the game is cleared, there is at least some kind of trade-off for it. Also Parad is soooo gonna die.

I loved the three main Rider kicking DeusCronus all over the pace although if Taiga had used his newly acquired Cronus form then that would have been even cooler.
Oh, Shin-chan. You and Kiriya are going to be the ones I miss most when this show is over. |

Anyway, good Episode this week. The revelation of Taiga's overall plan of handling Kamen Rider Chronicle was GENIUS, and it seems like something so obvious that I wish I had seen it sooner. It makes TOTAL SENSE now why he was always stressing why HE should be the only Kamen Rider. At first we all thought it was simply because he was alluding to the dangerous job of being a Rider, which sure, that could be part of it. But in actuality-well, really, probably ever since Kamen Rider Chronicle started up-the reason why he was stressing on him being the solo Kamen Rider was simply because he's the one who's been adapting to the Bugster Virus for the longest, so of course he'd be best-suited to becoming Chronos & taking out Gemdeus. |

Well you see, there was an alien squid monster living here a while back, but he kinda- oh it's not important! They just like to recycle filming locations, alright?! If Ex-Aid's last two episodes are as good as this one, it'll be leaving on a very high note: - Man, when did Taiga get so cool? Our little (wannabe) edgelord has come so far! :p - Real talk: Ex-Aid has understood from very early on that its ensemble is one of its best qualities, so it's no surprise it's cool enough to just devote almost the entirety of one of the final episodes to a "side" character. It makes sense for the story, builds on stuff that's been established forever, and is just generally awesome. - I'm not sure where Hiiro gets off assuming that Taiga wanted to clear KRC and become Chronus because he's built up a resistance to the Bugster virus though. Unless this is another thing I'm forgetting happened? I don't recall anything being said about becoming Chronus other than that it's the thing you do to beat Gamedeus. Unless there was some manual offscreen that only Taiga bothered to read. I always did say he was the smartest character in the show... - While I'm nitpicking, can I just say I would've very much appreciated if when Emu makes his little joke about Shin-chan helping him and Hiiro out, they didn't cut back for a short little scene that exists only to let Shin-chan make more goofy faces? Considering it's sandwiched between two pretty emotional moments, it just comes off a bit awkward. Not that Ex-Aid is any stranger to tonal antics, but still. - I can see why it'd be disappointing Kiriya isn't there too, but honestly I think him helping fight Chronus/Gamedeus/Whatshisname wouldn't jive with the emotional payoff the episode is going for. Lazer may nominally have been just as important as the other three Doctor Riders, but Emu, Hiiro, and Taiga spent like half the series building up relationships without him. Having Kiriya there wouldn't mean all that much since the only character he ever had any real connection to was Emu. - Muteki Ex-Aid gets smacked around, but never actually seems any worse for wear! Considering the blatant cheating going on by the villains at this point, I wouldn't even be that upset if he DID get beat up, but this show aims to impress! - Aw man, that was totally Level 1 Ex-Aid in the next episode preview! I know there's no way this will happen but if it's like when Ghost did something similar in its (sort of) finale and Emu defeats the final bad guy by just straight up Rider Kicking him in chibi form, I might have to instantly bump Ex-Aid up to my favorite Rider series. I think that's a joke, but then if this somehow happened it might stop being one. :lol |
About the requirements for transforming into Cronus, I rewatched the show up to the current point recently, and Masamune explicitly brings up that in order to become Cronus, you have to be immune to every strain of the Bugster virus.

Holy crap it is still hard to believe Ex-Aid is almost over. I mean just remembering all the stuff that has happened in this season it feels like it crammed more stuff in the other rider seasons.
So the pandemic is to make every one into contagious zombie turkey heads that can even infect digital life forms . . . I love Ex-Aid. From the trailer for Build it seems that his transformation involves him being sandwiched between two trees from a model kit which is awesome. |
"I think...I really just wanted to beat someone strong in a game...that was my wish."- Nico, episode 40 (I may be paraphrasing slightly).
Welp. This episode, along with the show ending tommorow, was what finally motivated me to catch up on Ex-Aid again (hopefully it's ok to bump this thread), and this episode confirmed what I've always known since a couple weeks ago: that having Taiga become Cronus instead of Nico was a dumb idea that cheated Nico out of her character resolution. I was hoping this would be like Lazer dying early or Parad becoming good: the idea initially sounded like a huge mistep, but the writers and actors of Ex-Aid were brilliant and made it work in a way that I now don't see how it could go any other way. It...was not like that. To their credit, Taiga's resolution was still done pretty well, and they get major points for having him go back to Bang Bang Simulations after he got beaten as Cronus- Snipe still gets to be Snipe, instead of suddenly becoming a different rider. That was a big worry of mine with this development, so that's good. The justification was terrible, though. Taiga's had the virus longest and had the most time to develop an immunity? I mean, sure, except for, y'know, the main character, who's had it for over a decade, but sure. There's also several characters in the main cast who outright are bugsters, making them immune to every strain but Gamedeus. Not that I want any of those characters to become Cronus either, I'm just saying that justification is not only bad, it's blatantly wrong. He never even had the virus really, he only had the compatibility surgery. I could really be mistaken here, but I'm pretty sure antibodies don't really get stronger unless the person keeps getting exposed to the disease, right? Nico on the other hand, had been infected with many strains of the virus through playing Chronicle, presumably including some off-screen, since she's defeated every bugster. She's a genius gamer nearly at the level of M, and she's spent the whole season looking for the right opponent for her to fight- first she thought it was Emu, then Parad, then, in the quote above, she finally admitted she didn't know who, she just wanted to fight against someone strong. Everything was building up to her being New!Cronus. And even if you don't agree with that, I think we can agree it wasn't building up to "lol let the men handle this, sweetie". I said this half-serious before, but I honestly wonder if that wasn't the plan and Bandai told them no at the last minute because....female rider merchandise doesn't sell, or something? Like, there had to be a mandate or something, right? I honestly don't believe the Ex-Aid writers were dumb enough to build all that up and then dump it. That's some Ghost level nonsense, and the rest of the show has been so well written. I...I might just choose to believe that to put my little heart at ease, regardless. Anyway, that...turned into more of a rant than I expected, I'm a little embarrassed I wrote that much about this. But I think I made a good argument, dangit! :p Nonetheless, excited to watch the last two episodes. And Build, of course! |
