I just pooped my pants.

I wonder if the leg zords will still connect via metal rods. Hopefully he’s much cheaper than Megazord since it’s only one Zord.

Rods are probably on the back of the legs. Of course I'm concerned about balance and the legs locking in. But they seem to be shorter than legacy. Likely not metal either so it shouldn't be so heavy.

Are those fixed ankles or is the angle of the photo obscuring a tilt mechanism

They may be fixed. The front of legs look like they've prevent bending even if they weren't fixed.

If they are fixed, it could make the connection more stable.

Of course it could also just be a prototype missing some features.


Will BOA learn something from BOJ?

Doubtful.

Maybe I am not seeing what you guys are, but this looks like the Legacy Dragonzord, with slight changes and different colors.

I am sure it will be better than the Legacy, but at first glance, it looks LIKE the Legacy a bit too much.

Legacy Dragonzord is a pretty accurate looking figure(see BOA you can do things correctly). So SOC looking pretty similar is to be expected.

But we are noticing the build. Bring up a picture of the Legacy figure and thinking about how it combines. You will notice somethings on the SOC have a different scale. You can see areas of articulation the legacy figure doesn't have.

It's these features we hope make connecting with the SOC Megazord a superior experience than the legacy version. You'd notice that Legacy has some balance issues due to Dragonzord being bottom heavy. Additionally Legacy Megazord wasn't truly built it with legacy Dragonzord in mind. Ie they weren't developed together.

Of course that doesn't mean SOC Dragonzord will fit any better but they tend to be better designers.

I have generally no complaints about the Legacy Dragonzord. BoA did an excellent job on that piece and, at $80 versus the $200-300 this one will eventually go for, is extremely competent. Yes, the SoC will improve where it can, mostly in the combination modes. But the Legacy version is darn good.

The Legacy Dragonzord being heavy I think helps in displaying dragonzord just as it's self.

I look forward to where this goes.

But we are gonna have a problem if SOC does all the megazords. I don't want two of every zord. Kinda If they become inspired to do "Shogun" maybe it should link up with Legacy Falconzord.

That's not SOC's MO. They tend to keep to the main piece and sometimes (I'm looking at you GaoGaiGar) an iconic add-on piece.
..unless it's Mazinger-related. Then they make anything and everything related to it.

I think this is a good thing. Just do the iconic mecha that redefined Super Sentai mecha. It was the first to set a new standard, getting away from the classic, boxier, spring-firing fists mecha of the 70's & 80's. It was the first to go international as itself (ignoring Shogun Warriors and Godaikin). And then make the iconic add-on piece that set the standard for 6th Rangers.

Anyhow, I'm gonna start saving for Dragon Caesar. It's just sad that these Zyuranger pieces are so lacking in display stands and effect parts compared to most SOCs. Just compare Daizyujin to Golion or even SOC Daizyujin to Super Robot Chogokin Daizyujin and try not to feel like they skimped on things.

I'm pretty sure it is the angle of the photo obscuring the tilt mechanism as you can see a definite separation line in the first photo on the right leg where the leg the foot.

I believe that the leg recesses slightly into the foot which is why it looks fixed in the second photo. But this is just my speculation.

I hope they make a SOC King Brachion/Titanus.

The zord looks amazing. I can only hope that it can combine with the megazord.

It has to. Though my concern is paint. I noticed my Legacy Megazord of chipped paint thanks to dragonzord being a tight fit.

It would be quite counter-intuative if it did not, you needn't worry there.
