Kamen Rider Build Episode 15- "Judge Sento Kiryu!" Discussion
The dual reveals of Blood Stalk AND Night Rogue have Sento at a complete loss, believing he has no true allies left in the city. Despite all odds, the Pandora's Box has been recovered...

Sento is Katsuragi confirmed
|
Welp, that pretty much surprised no one.

But yeah, this was the most likely scenario especially once Blood Stalk was confirmed as Soichi. To be fair though, in my opinion it's good rewatch value for a storyline if you can set up all these things so that the story takes on an entirely new meaning once you watch it again. Also, the Sclush Driver is also Katsuragi's invention by the looks of it. But I suspect it may be mass produced by Faust using the data at Soichi downloaded in this episode. Or maybe by Namba. If Grease is from Hokoto then how does he get a Sclush Driver? Christmas Episode next week. |

and by the mini series story, we know there are already completed full bottles that can be turned into the gel in Hokuto. |
The episode's opening in which the government infiltrates Cafe Nascita looked good. It gave a very espionagesque feel to it even though the rest of the episode is as subtle as a hammer to the face.
Misora knows. Goddamn it, Misora knows. Although I still love the fact that in and out of suit, Isurugi is lackadaisical and carefree. No motorcycle love this week and I found the fight choreography in this episode to be lacking. They have also started repainting the SMASH monsters. I am guessing that Stalk told the Prime Minister about his power-mad son. Though to be honest, Night Rogue was getting kind of tiring by now. Glad that we can move on the next phase of the story. However, this raises the question; Is Ryuuga still a fugitive? I guess they will tackle that next episode. Everybody called it; Sento is Takumi So I guess Kamen Riders Grease and Rogue will be coming next? |

We're only on Episode 15, yet it feels like we're 30 episodes in with all of game-changing reveals going on.
Really excited to see where this story goes. Build has been excellent so far. |
Is it just me, or does Cross-Z seem relegated to dealing with small fry while Build does the important stuff, and getting beaten by Rogue and Stark over and over?
And speaking of bikes, has Ryuga used his own since the early episodes? I'd be happy if he just used that again, though I'm still waiting for him to get his own BuildPhone as per the magazine scans. |
Watched the subs which have provided a bit more clarity on some things.
The Sclush driver was incomplete and was an ongoing project. Katsuragi never finished it but made a log for his plans nevertheless. When Soichi mentions that Sento might be able to finish what Katsuragi started he meant the Sclush driver, Sento does indeed finish the Sclush driver after writing equations on literally everything (one of the funniest scenes in the episode given you see it written on the lightbulbs and plates as well as the walls). Soichi then downloaded that finished data. Sento has also talked about a new objective being to "expose the government". At the end of the episode Gentoku's father finds out that his son was Night Rogue all along. Something I'm wondering now is if Sento will go back to Seito at some point and tell Katsuragi's mother that he is in fact her missing son? How would she react to knowing this? Be interesting to see if that ever happens. |
You have no idea how horrified I was by Over-time's release image of M. Night Shyamalan.
The actual episode was good, although I am kind of sad none of the twists have been REALLY mind blowing so far, but they way they handle them has been very well done, so I don't mind. The scene with Misora and her father in this episode was probably my favorite, and had a lot of emotional weight. I am really curious about what will happen next though, since Night Rogue seems at least temporarily out of the picture. I'm really terrified that the next episode is the Christmas episode, and it doesn't look like it will be fluff at all. I'm never going to get over what Ex-Aid did. |
Yeah, they've been recoloring suits ever since the Hazard level Smash were introduced, what I consider more interesting is that neither Sento or Banjo try extract their essence anymore after defeating them, meaning we're probably not gonna get any more Full Bottles unless a unique monster suit comes around again.
Also Night Rouge can just sprout wings and fly now, I'm amazed there's been no word of this before since that seems like it would've been really handy in quite a few situations before this. Speaking of handy, it's neat to see that Sento remembered to use the vacuum bottle to deal with flying enemies, say what you will about the way it looks, but the arm itself has been surprisingly reliable so far. Based on the Over-Time subs for the preview it seems like Sento is gonna have a major guilt crisis next episode, which I imagine is gonna be extra painful for him considering that he's technically wearing the very face of the last guy he scarified for the sake of his experiments. Lastly, now that it's been revealed that Sento is Katsuragi, I kinda like the concept of Rabbit-Tank Sparkling a lot more. When trying to power up the rider system, Katuragi choose the sclash jellies, which was closer to a solid vs Sento who made a sparkling soda, which was closer to a gas. |
I know it's just a show, I know it's not real,...yet when the Smash punched Misora and knocked her out I got mad and just wanted him/it dead. That is no way to treat sweet little Misora.
Digging the show. I like Night Rogues upgraded look. "Watch the jacket! I love this jacket!" ..I still think Blood Stalk and Cross-Z are more interesting than the main Protagonist and Antagonist. Which I've personally never seen in a Rider show before that the secondary characters intrigue me more than the main characters. |
Great episode as usual, although at this point Build is getting so crazy with these twists and turns that I'm almost too busy being excited for the next one to even talk about the here and now. What's gonna happen to Sento? Who else is in on the conspiracy? I mean, it's awfully convenient for the series' main plot device to be safely in government hands, right? This show does a really good job at balancing out the amount of questions raised with answers given per episode. Lesser shows with a big mystery angle would just start feeling monotonous with how stingy they are about actually telling the viewer things, but Build stays light on its feet.

Now that we know Katsuragi is alive.... as Sento. What will happen to Satou Taro's body?
Wonder if Faust will bring him back to life with Takumi's face and become either a Faust general or a "Dark Build". If a Faust general, I go for a spider or... a rabbit! |

Taro Satou was an idiot. I really don’t know why everyone seems to think he’ll be so important. |
Even if the twists were somewhat predictable, the way this completely throw the status quo out was not. It seems unlikely that they'll be able to use the lab or even their temporary base again. Senta and Ryuga may be put into conflict over this, at least temporarily. The Prime Minister knows the truth now and may or may not help the gang. I am hoping that things don't shake out exactly as before.

this is going as i predicted and i am starting to see the pattern of starks actions. I suspect that we may see a lot of riders soon. who im not sure of but i think that the sclash driver will have several users and a mass production type rider because that is its point
|
Yeah...finally Sento is Katsuragi. Probably Katsuragi has Taro's face because Stalk's ability.

I really want we has another Sclashjellies based from previous Full Bottles like Gorilla Sclashjelly for Gorilla-themed Rider, Lion Sclashjelly for Lion-themed Rider, Comic Sclashjelly for Comic-themed Rider, Rocket Sclashjelly for Rocket-themed Rider etc. |
The highlight from this episode is definitely not the identity reveal, but the drama between Souichi and Misora. That's one hollywood award worthy scene right there. The cinematography, the cuts, the face actings, all top notch!
And Night Rogue's wings? Sigh, P-Bandai, you need to stop. What's next, Blood Stalk extended snake's tail lower half? |

About Figuarts version, maybe the Blood Stalk's giant cobra monsters will be released in Figuarts version too. |

But the Blood Stalk's cobra still looks really cool especially because the green color is really matching with Stalk's green color. |
I am more interested in why Katsuragi choose Sato Tatou's face to replace his own. Is it vanity? Or just circumstance, seeing Banjou was also scheduled to arrive at the murder scene. If Banjou had arrived earlier, it would his face that Katsuragi (Sento) is using right now.
Also now the Toutou govt knows Gentoku's involvement, it should clear up Banjou's conviction by next week or so. |
Really liked this week's episode. I'm continually impressed by the overarching plot that Build has going and I really look forward to what's coming next.
|
Huh. Don't know why I never noticed this, but Sento and Katsuragi have their hair styled similarly.

KIDDING! I noticed this too after thinking about it around the second video clip. I guess I'm not surprised by this new information either. But the scene with Misora and her father was done so well, and there was so much tension placed into the episode that I feel satisfied for the week. I do see some Ghost-like waste of the older forms since we'll see more of the jellies and sparkling going forward. Still, the series keeps delivering some good action. Bat's Hazard form is pretty wicked. |

yeah the scene with Misora and her Dad was good. It was tense and I kept wondering if they both know, if they know the other one knows and just aren't saying it? or what?
|
It was a great little scene all right. Misora's actress especially did some brilliant subtle acting and the directing probably made it all come together. Not the level I normally expect from a kid's action show, but it did make the episode.

stark is still planning something big. and he seems to have a xanator gambit set up for everything. consider the last fight if he beat build he would have all the full bottles and the box but if build came up with something to give him enough power to beat him then he is smart enough to finish the sclash driver. which means that stark intentionally sent them after night rouge in order to get him to spill the beans, also it seems to me that build has started to figure out that he cant trust anyone to play fair as is obvious from the hologram decoy of the box which i liked, as well as making sure they couldn't get into the lab.

Dislike Cross-Z relegate to fighting mooks despite his strong introduction.
The fate of nearly all secondary riders... |
So thinking back on the final scene of the episode....something seems odd. Gentoku is supposedly under arrest but he's allowed to have a full conversation with Sento before they escort him out. He's not even handcuffed.
Me thinks the dad was actually Souichi masquerading as him to get Pandora's Box back from Sento (because as this episode established, Sento's not going to go running around with the real Pandora's Box unless he's giving it to someone he can trust). |
You know what I've really appreciated about the last few episodes?
They show that the henshin sequence is both impervious AND mobile. There's still the "how?" in tight spaces but, hey, that sequence is ridiculous, I needed that answer! Oh - yeah, the show is getting great! |
i have a feeling it is him -i think stark told him where he would be all to put rouge on ice for a bit. Also consider that he wants the box for something else giving it back now probably raised the tension between all 4 power blocks but didn't escalate things into war right, but the tension is just right to get someone on one of the other two sides to take starks offer to build the sclash driver to protect them from the sclash driver powered army he is selling to the other side that he will claim are already in mass production.
starks playing everyone like a fiddle i think we can assume that any time stark is doing anything where he is offering anyone anything he is stabbing you in the back at the same time, doing something else using you as a distraction or he is nurturing something that he plans to use later. that seems to be his play book so far |
Rogue
https://i.imgur.com/3s7j51D.jpg Rouge https://i.imgur.com/uBbJe9c.jpg The one with the 'O' makes the O sound, the one with the 'U' makes the U sound. Normally I swear I'm never a stickler for spelling, but after seeing so many people write, "Rouge One" for the Star Wars movie, and now so many people write Night Rouge for the character,...it's driving me nuts. hahahah O vs U,..it's easy to remember Rogue makes the O sound. also, it's Blood Stalk, not Stark, right? Stark is Iron Man? Though it seems like a lot of web sites write Stark too. Though the sub-titles say Stalk. So,...that's kind of weird I guess. |
sorry i was spelling it how i saw it written there must have been an error sorry to cause your psychotic breakdown to happen sooner than scheduled, will next week be ok for me to commit you to the mental hospital after your rampage? or are we doing it this week?
