and it'll only cost you about $300. to get all seven Zyuranger/MMPR's off the secondary market.
Lol,....*sigh* |
Aaaaand this is why I don't really give Bandai of America my money lol.
|
Ninja Storm also has swords in their holsters and swords. Which looks awkward when displaying the figure. It forces the figures to be displayed with one or the other but not both. And there is just no point of holsters with molded in sword handles.

Show me a pic of what you're seeing? |

It's ridiculous too since unlike with the Figuarts there is nothing stopping BOA from reissuing them. |

Though I already own the 5 metallic MMPR legacy figures, the damn NYCC legacy box set with the other two metallic MMPR rangers is selling at around $250 alone! It already cost me over $100 at Target for the set of 5 metallic figures ($20 each plus Tax). |

Make no mistake, it'll take a lot of patience/waiting and they won't be cheaper. But, with how stupid the prices for Legacy figures are getting; ask yourself which you'd rather spend over 100$ on? A Figuart which is more screen accurate and actually comes with the Ranger's main weapon or a jacked up silver belted Red Ranger that lacks a power sword? |
Well I got all 7 (metallic) rangers with their weapons for a little less than $300. ..actually I don't think Dragon is metallic but he does have his weapons.
they do look painted right to me? (like netkid said) Green ranger was about $100. which was a pretty bitter pill to swallow but it was the last one I needed. But the SHF MMPR's I see are usually like $100-$200 each So I figured I either cough up $300. to get the metallic legacy series which I do think look good if a bit too muscular, or I cough up $800-$1,000 to get the 7 of them as SHF figures? I obviously chose the lower price. Now I see a Megazord is also going to cost about $300 for a good one, which is disappointing. But still I guess $600 for the 7 figures + Megazord is still better than close to $1,000 for just the 7 figures alone. Honestly I collect Kamen Rider and Godzilla stuff. I started watching Zyuranger Super Sentai and decided to get the Rangers on a whim to add to the collection. I had no idea it would be so hard to find accurate figures and no idea how expensive it would be. |

The Metallic versions fixed those issues but they're going to look awkward next to a matte Green and White. Provided you can even find a Green now. The Legacy figures were never going to be the most accurate representation but at 20-30$ they were great if you wanted decent action figures without breaking the bank. Lack of weapons aside. The problem is the fact that now some of these things are going for close to 100$ dollars. That's Figuarts territory. |

-You're plum outa luck unless you can carefully cut the morphers off and swap them. Quote:
-Luckily this isn't too hard. A tiny brush or lining marker will do well. Quote:

-An easy fix, but shouldn't be necessary. -Again easy, but like Zeo Gold finding a matching colour is going to be hard. -A tedious job but at least the ability to colour-match will be easier. Quote:
-Another tedious, and really shouldn't need to be done, painting of small details trying to match the others. Quote:

In light of all the mistakes going on with this line I want to post some good... news. This website has a list of the Thunder Rangers coming out at the end of the year no pic.

Or that the retail metallic MMPR Red is missing the white on it's helmet but has the silver teeth...technically. |
So, I don't know if this is the right place to post this, but I just found this at a Walgreens. The Gold Ranger is actually gold. Has this been spotted before? The package is sealed and I see no signs of tampering or it being re-sealed.

That's a returned figure. You can see the yellow on it still on the up part of the right kneepad, on the gauntlets and on the bottom of the shield. Plus that gold looks WAY too shiny to be any that Bandai would use.

Someone clearly made a custom and were unhappy with it.
|
If I ever come across the Legacy Gold Ranger figure in a clearance bin or thrift store I will pick it up and customize it.
