Of course they're closing down the one at the Summit that is run much better than the one in Hoover... The one in Hoover always only has 1 register open and it takes ages to check out.

Phew, no closures in New Jersey.

Before anyone feels too sorry for TRU, a reminder that their CEO's had to be given a 14million bonus to have motivation to save the company.

"the insolvent retailer can pay its 17 top executives $14 million in incentive bonuses.....to make $5 million of the bonus payout contingent on the company creating a business plan that allows it to emerge from bankruptcy."

You'd think going out of business would be incentive enough to try to fix things, but instead they're cutting stores and giving themselves checks, only a small portion of which was predicated on coming up with a plan.

The closest TRU to me in Olathe KS is safe for now.

The payment was made to stop the top level executives from fleeing the company. Part of the bonus was a contract to see through the process of this Chapter 11 bankruptcy, no matter the outcome, or forfeit the bonus. It shows the corruption of top level executives in general, but for the company, this had to be done or there would be no chance of the company's survival through this process.

Thank god the one in Holbrook, NY isn't closing.

This sucks; three around me are closing. At least the closest one to me in Fullerton is remaining open for now. Hopefully Bandai has enough places to continue the legacy line. I think online retailers are the best bet. Hopefully we will get an announcement for a legacy megazord soon! It's been too long.

This SUCKS! I do have better luck at Walmart, but there are always things at TRU that I can't get anywhere else locally. This plus the apparent ineptitude of BOA is going to screw the Power pooch :(

The very first TRU I went to is closing in Minnesota. I remember nearly passing out at their selection of Transformers back in the 80's
