Didnt think evol was going to be debuting so early. I guess it's the same with last year big bad. I can't believe banjo didnt knock stark out of his suit even if he possess Martian powers. I felt like they drag black hazard for too long now the RRTT doesn't get much shine because it's all Magma and soon Genius.
|
I don't think Evolt is going to debut this early as well. Stalk is still waiting for the ultimate driver.
Based on the Genius scans, it's not Sento that builds the Evol Driver. Based on Hazard Level episodes, it's even more likely that Utsumi will be the one who builds it. |

So uh...wrong and wrong there. |

The word restoration is written in English in the Teaser image so The Chaos Entity might need to get his eyes checked |

Plus I never said Sento created it - just that he builds the one Soichi uses. Because he does. That's literally why they had Gentoku kidnap his dad - he's a hostage to force Sento to build it. ...And, on top of it all, I'm a girl. |

-------------------- Onto the episode itself. Rogue going rogue came as a surprise to no one considering that handsome rogue hates Utsumi, Nanba, and most of all, Stalk himself. I am surprised that they didn't kill him after that incident in Hokuto. On a sidenote, this episode proves that Walls can't stop refugees. Banjou recovering so quickly came as a surprise to no one considering that he is a musclehead. Stalk of all people should knowno better than that. |

Anyway, one thing I do like about Hokuto is that it's like seeing a neglected part of Japan, in show and in real life. Everyone seems to focus on the cosmopolitan, globalized cities like Tokyo and such when discussing Japan in media and fan forums. The rural, "real" Japan not so much. It's one thing I like about 60s and 70s toku, I feel like I'm seeing an actual country rather than some fungible setting with Japanese actors. |

I understood it. I just pointed out that he's wrong while not straying too far from the show itself. As we both know, straying into politics goes against the board rules.

I would like to sincerely apologize for the Wall joke. It was not my intention to offend anyone or to go against forum rules.

Blood Stalk's levels of planning just get a bit ridiculous. Although I wonder if kidnapping the Touto Prime Minister to force Sento to build the Evol Driver is in fact a backup plan, perhaps initially Souichi was hoping Sento wouldn't figure out that he was being used in a wider scheme and had to change plans when that didn't work out.
Either way, Sento making the Evol driver is the last thing I would have expected to happen... |
Ryuga's whole moment where he goes 'Yeah I may not be human and my powers may have come from evil, but screw it I'm still gonna fight for good", calling on one of the most defining traits of Kamen Riders in general; Yeah I think I'm cool with his backstory now.
|
I was expecting when Sento appeared that he was going to have to pep talking Banjo into fighting, but nope, he accepts he identity all on his own, something he wouldn't have been able to do at the start of the series.
|
No pep talk needed. Sento being there is a reminder to Banjou that no matter what, he's got people who have his back.
|
I love how Stalk now just lounges around in the Seito PM's office. I know this is such a pointless thing to talk about, but with everything else about this episode being so consistently good. I really can't add much to the conversation other than just ramble about that scene.
The brief shot Stalk just lazing around on a couch in a generic office building during the middle of the day like he's someone's kid who got stuck there because it was a "bring your child to work" day, it all just made me burst out laughing when I first saw it. |
I just laughed out loud when Banjou was going "Protein and Ramen. Best Match!"

another INTENSE episode
but Evol is the final boss and he's appearing in Ep 32 - doesnt that seem way early? From the teaser it seems like he's strong enough to smash Rogue EDIT: We're gonna need SHF Magma to come with ALOT of effects. Looks like flames AND rocks |

Stalk/Evolt is the main villain, and he's already been in the show for 30 episodes. As a Rider he may have a different name, but it's still the same guy. If he continues to operate in a similar capacity that shouldn't be a problem. Not to mention, he still has 4 more forms after this. There's still a ways for the true final form to appear--like the preview says, it's still just Phase 1. |

Anyone else notice they've been humanizing Rogue lately? There's letting the hostages go, telling Sento about stuff last episode and in the Rogue spin off, it's apparently established he enjoys karaoke and strawberry parfaits

I can't help but wonder about ol' crocodile tears Rogue and how he's gonna get the chip out of him. It's fairly apparent though that his turn to Team Nascita is gonna be soon since he's in the OP the way he is.
Banjou....you keep making me want to disregard you as a meathead, and then pull me back in with your backstory, your amazing upgrade suit, and your ability to kick ass. No fair. So yes, while Rogue keeps getting humanized (agree with previous posters), Stalk is getting more and more alien in his characterization of disregard for life. He's definitely a cross between Ryoma Sengoku and Banno, he wants power, and to unleash the same fate on Earth as Mars, but at the same time, is doing it in an almost clinical fashion. |
i wonder what his goal is exactly, the planet destruction is likely just a means to an end.
Absolute power, imortality etc. Or, Stalk is literally a created being simply doing what he was designed to do, destroy. Either way I love Stalk, actually I love every character in the show so far, Banjou is without a doubt my favorite secondary rider at this point, that 99$ figma is looking more and more tempting to me. |
To be fair the amount of great writing done for Banjou, he might as well star in his own series. (I'm not complaining about that, I think its great!)
The only questions now is how and who did he collect the rabbit and dragon evolbottle essence from and who would purify it. |
I'm kind of late watching the episode this time, it's near the end of the semester and I was in a state of low-key panic over a project the day the episode came out, and it took a while to finally get back to it!
I do love how Build has so many traditional aspects of Rider in it, and Banjou fighting for humanity even though he isn't human while using the same powers as the antagonist is another great one added to the list! I'm also really surprised to see Evol debut so soon, like many of you, but thinking about it we are drawing pretty close to the end of this show. Best funny moment of this episode was Misora and Sawa agonizing over how to tell Banjou he isn't human in the intro bit, and then Sento just blurting it out in the episode proper. |
and that fit Sentos character so well! Hahahaha
"Hey man says here you're a freak!" |
