Commander Hilltop decides that the PatRangers should make a movie to improve their public image. But the director wants to mix things up a bit. Is this another Gangler plot???

That was quite a fun episode.

Boring episode I guess. The best thing in this episode is how Sakuya can know who is the true culprit.

Has there ever been a good crossdressing gag episode? It's always been stupid.

On the plus side, we have an actual Pat-focused episode, which is more rare than I would like. On the minus side, it's a really cringe-worthy one. I mean, even as far as gender-swapping episodes go, this is BAD. Not as bad as the Rescue Force's one, but a close second.

I suppose getting opposite gender versions of all the Pat costumes was something at least.

For a sec I thought you meant the JRPG thing where Lucky crossdresses and there's barely any attention to it but then I remembered Garu exists so yeah. I just want Patranger to have better spotlight, especially as the preview for the next episode looks good

Gonna be honest, this was maybe one of the worst episodes of Sentai I've ever watched.

Yeah, don't expect this episode to be adapted to Power Rangers.

Or if they'll use the monster they'll give it a new power and make their own original footage.

The "weapons have genders" joke was pretty funny, as is the one where they decided not to give Tsukasa a more boyish name since her name was gender neutral enough.

Did anyone else notice that the "movie" gangers used recovered Crow masks from Torger?

Something was bothering me and I figured it out. They could have used the Time Force and presumably Timeranger idea of travelling through sets and movies for the monster week. Because that's actually interesting and can give unique environments or shots

Y'know in hindsight this idea could have been used for Sakuya's character to develop, episode could have been him being turned into a girl and getting hit on, realizing how Umika must feel about his antics

Damn that would have been a really good story for a gender swap episode. I mean the same moral could come later I guess but the way you put it there definitely would have worked to better effect.

There was some development for the team, but mainly for Lupat red and pink in how they view green.

He actually respects and looks up to them, while to begin with they did not see him in the most positive light overall due to his other antics, but the effort he puts in shows he is not half assing it as a member of their team.

Overall the episode was a gag one, which is not a bad thing, had a few laughs etc, but yes I doubt they will adapt this episode.

Yeah as much as I didn't like the episode, I did get a giggle out of that, not to mention the Lupin treasure of the week cracked me up for some reason

Oh and I nearly forgot, the fact that the current main villain was actually totally into this movie production, poor Destra not only has to deal with a psychotic mad woman, but also his boss and his weird personality.

Those little moments with the villains have so far beeen a nice addition.

Yeah, the Gangler might be the best villains since I wanna say Deboss (still need to see ToQger and might see Ninninger) due to that as Genis and his crew were basically one point and Don Armege was a huge letdown

This episode was silly as hell and I liked everything about it. I really like this show.

Okay personal opinion here, worst villains, worst sentai team, THE ABSOLUTE WORST 6th ranger, one of the worst reds in the series, yes I think he was worse then mr YOOOOSHA LUCKY !

Kyuranger I still found something fun and enjoyable in, it was not a good series by any means, but Ninninger.....Just....Burn it...

Also Deboss was fantastic, one of the best villains in years.

I can agree that the Kibaoni Army is rather weak and a waste of potential. But Deboss was hardly any better, with their horrible designs and wacky anime hijinks. (Not to mention those stupid sound effects whenever Candelira or Luckyuro so much as moved.) Kibanoni Youkai at least looked good.

ToQger's Shadow Line make for fairly good villains. Emperor Zett is a unique boss, and the theme of creatures of darkness trying to comprehend the light is carried throughout the show.

Nuh uh....don't talk about Candelira like that. ;)

ToQger's Shadow Line characters were very VERY good steampunk Kaiju designs IMO.

It's fairly apparent that the Ganglers are more on the effective/annoying side of the scale as opposed to last seasons ultra useless Jark Matter where they were more fresh meat for beating up on. At least the collection pieces have a cause and effect rather than the MOTW having powers.

In contrast I feel like the better villain groups have been the Deathgailens, Kibaoni Army, and Shadow Line in recent. Deboss was colorful to say the least. And let's be honest, the Metaloids were just there, because Enter and Escape chewed up a lot of scenery.

My favorites are still the Zangyack for being so brutal, and Shadow Line for literally beating up kids with style.

Oh, and this episode? I don't think there's any outfit that Tsukasa can't rock and not look amazing. For a gaffe joke episode it's about as good as it's gonna get. Pretty obvious they're poking fun at the real idea that the Lupins are more popular than the Patrangers. Because they are. #teamLupin

I liked the charm and design of Deboss, but it is very subjective, gory monsters, cartony monsters and so on, the franchise has a lot overall and no one is going to like every idea.

kyoryuger was overall a more child friendly season, but personally I really liked the villains, they had personality, something a lot of seasons in the last seasons have not had at all, that is not saying kyoryuger did not have issues because it really did, but still overall enjoyable.

I LOOOOOVE the shadow line, and the monster design in ToQger is some of my absolute favorites in the series.

It is still weird that Gritta ended up being one of my favorite characters in the series, not only did she get one of the most BRUTAL on screen deaths, even though she did not really die but still, that scene cemented Z as a fantastic villain, but at the same time a very tragic one.

Deboss is probably the worst villain in Sentai history, just an utterly useless waste of a very good design. There's a reason why Deboss basically wasn't used in Dino Charge, and that's because he's a wimp who got beaten by a single ranger. At least Kibaoni actually had a really great fight, at least Don Armage got taken down by everyone. Sledge was more successful as a villain than Deboss was.

I actually really love Kyoryuger's monster designs and god did the show absolutely waste them. That's one of the reasons I still like Dino Charge, it actually put those designs into anything decent.

When I praise Deboss, I'm talking about the organization with Luckyero, Candelira, Aigoron, Endorf and Dogold
