Kamen Rider Heisei Generations Final O-T subs
It's finally out. It's better than the Taisen movies, but again with the shitty villains along with foundation x tie in. Build is from another parallel universe than the other riders just like kyuuranger and dekaranger special. What about Decade and the original Heisei Riders then and their "parallel universe"? I'm not a fan of how they retcon build's appearance in exaid as katsuragi when it's clearly Sento's personality. This mark all Neo-Heisei rider returning after their supposed final contracted movie/special. Gaim was pretty pointless, but better than last year. He's definitely the weakest link out of all the returning riders. O's Got the most emotion with Ankh. Overall, it's still one of the better movie war and there's more role for each character and less form spamming fan service. I liked that banjo was given a bigger role and was the one that's pair up with exaid while doubting himself and question the meaning of being a selfless kamen rider. I wished the Taisen movie was able to utilize the characters like this with the older Heisei guest stars.

It's a shame that Ankh back was bring back just temporary. It's like Toei keeps the characters in a statu quo just to have the possibility to bring them again later on. I feel Eiji should have get closure on this matter. And this time again they had to found a way to keep Ex-Aid having access to the Muteki form, otherwise it would have been a gamebreaker. |

Anyway, O's got the best role in the film demonstrating his selflessness to Ryuga as well as reigniting the chemistry with Ankh. Fourze is okay too with the maturer Gentaro sensei. Ghost was pretty weak as well and I felt like they skip the part explaining why the monk gave up on his monkhood. |
What is the name of the song that played when Ghost first appeared?! I know it wasn't the theme song. I need this new song in my life.

it's not a new song, it's one of the theme that plays when he is about to beat a Monster of the Week if I remember correctly.

not bad.
visually this was very cool to see the six riders on motorcycles. https://i.imgur.com/IJ9Ikwc.png ..there's never enough motorcycle in these shows. Lol |

I'm bummed that everyone rides a dirt bike now. I haven't really liked a motorcycle since that badass black/green one that 'W' had.
At least 'OOO's is an actual motorcycle. ..the one in Ryuki that Ren rode around on was pretty damn cool, too. https://i.imgur.com/JIh1ooP.jpg |
In fairness, dirt bikes can be more practical in battle, especially if you're going on rugged terrain like much of Kuuga. They're lighter and more maneuverable.
With that said, the lack of variety may be due to the fact that there isn't much bike action anymore and Toei is just sticking with one type. There is more variety amongst the secondary Riders though: Mach and Chase have FF bikes like Decade's, and Specter has a streetbike. Gaim had hoverbikes, dirt bikes and the Tulip Hoppers. With a show like Build and its lack of bikes for the other Riders, I'd take copies of the BuildPhone for each over no bikes at all. |

Yeah it did look right with Fourze, Build..and with Kuuga also. I'm not against dirtbikes. I just thought it looked odd seeing six Riders on motorcycles, and five of them are dirtbikes.....in the city. Where I live dirtbikes are for the woods, motorcycles are for the city streets. So it just looked odd to me.
Some favorites (not counting the Ren bike I posted earlier) : W https://i.imgur.com/e9HvlCH.jpg The First (possibly my most favorite costume and motorcycle out of them all. The blue outfit and white/pink eyes in that movie are killer!) https://i.imgur.com/thiyNn7.jpg ZO https://i.imgur.com/DKMnvUW.jpg Skull https://i.imgur.com/bmpxLtO.jpg Agito https://i.imgur.com/YVBDz5Z.jpg |
Just watched this and holy crap, I goddamn loved this movie. I like the new format of telling one story with both casts as opposed to the older split story approach; it makes for a more cohesive film and gives the casts some ability to interact (I really like the subplot about Banjou trying to figure out why Kamen Riders fight). The Ex-Aid stuff felt a little weird since I had recently finished the Another Ending trilogy before watching this, which made some of the Kuroto scenes feel a little weird, but it wasn't too bad.
What I really loved about this film was how it used the previous Riders. You could really tell that the writers went out of their way to really bring those characters into the new story while respecting the original series. With Gentarou and Eiji, in particular, you could really tell that the writers knew Fourze and OOO and wanted to build on some of the events of their stories. I thought all the stuff with Ankh was especially good. I'm even more impressed because - and I checked on this while watching - this movie was written by the Ex-Aid and Build writers and directed by someone whose only been with the franchise since Ghost. I would not have expected these guys to devote time to explaining where Gentarou's supporting cast was or to directly reference the Kamen Rider Aqua movie, but they did. Hell, they even managed to write what was, hands down, the best Onari scene ever (yes, low bar, I know) during his interaction with Kuroto. I think the only character that felt a little shafted was Kouta, but it can't be easy to figure out what to do with a Kamen Rider who is a literal space god. But yeah, I really liked this movie. The story was good, the continuity was surprisingly tight, the directing was great (we got a Snipe scene shot in FPS perspective - that was brilliant and I can't believe it hadn't been done before), and I honestly can't think of anything I didn't like about this. Hell, I was audibly cheering at a couple of points and there's a non-0% chance that I may have done the henshin motions alongside Gentarou and Eiji. I had so much fun with this one. Also, the moment when everybody tried doing their catchphrase at the same time and got pissed at the others for stepping on their line? Fucking hilarious. |

It was nice seeing all of the old riders again. :)
But all of them, besides Build and Ex-Aid were unnecessary to the story. They were simply fan service. But none the less I enjoyed the movie. |
