Man, this was a good episode. Addressing Gentoku's past, and Banjou pulling strong again.

Also, Great Cross-Z was pretty beautiful in action, although I don't understand why they keep using the voice actor from the Sclash driver. The Build Driver voice is far superior IMHO.

Also, Black Hole form looks and sounds amazing.

Shouichi is back. I missed his Stark. They're reselling the cross dragon recolor. I guess they wanted to make banjo equal to Sento, but come on. Genius looks horrible as another rehash of sparkling and the movie rider is using another recolor cross dragon as well. Next week spoiler pic might show the end of nanba and the gear brothers.idk

Katsuragi is back as well. I guess all will be unveiled.

I'm still bothered how everything still fall in to the hands of evolto. It's not like he can see the future and predict everything. Almost everything that happened so far is in a way part of his plan. It just ruin his character and make him in to a generic powerful final boss. I guess they don't have the budget to create more mars backstory. He's just like to destroy worlds for some reason.

I starting to getting bored to Evolt subplot in last 5 episodes. But I am glad we has new Rider in next episodes......

The way I look at it is Evolto is a being of an unknown age. He's already destroyed Mars, and we don't know how many other planets before that. Who knows how many times he's done this?! So look at it like this, he knows exactly what he's doing, all he's had to do is wait for things to fall in place. He's done this numerous times before, so he kind of does have a bit a slight power to predict the future. It's like a Chess Grand Master, they know almost every single move you can make in the game and can almost predict what moves their opponent can make.

Shouichi is finally back, but why does he still need his body? I'm not complaining since I do enjoy shouichi's acting.

In episode 4, Evolt said he is game maker.

Then I believe my point is valid and made. XD

From what I understand Souichi isn't back, Evolt is just assuming his form.

It's fine either way since I do like his take on evolt's personality despite it's his voice. It's better than Ryuga and banjo's actors tries to do the Evolt impression with their voice dubbed over by Evolt..

I like Evolt alot, threat, smart, no mercy, manipulative.

Bad writing. I liked his personality and the voice actor, but they just skip over all the details. Something bad just happen to happen and it's credit to him. Even if he's defeated, it still goes according to his plan.

it would be funny if the final boss is an alien or Nanba and not Evolt.

Banjou situation didn't last an episode. He just get access to an upgraded bottle because... reasons ? The power of friendship ? Alien Magic ? They already have Vernage for this.
At this point I'm afraid the writers are in a slump and there's still more episodes to go.

Toys. Maybe cross dragons aren't selling well since he barely use the form and they decide to repaint the leftover merchandise in storage. I don't know if magma is stronger or the Great Cross. Does he get a higher Harzard level if he uses magma or it's the same once he reach that point. I know some fans expected the story to go a certain way given what they had known up to this point like shouichi is suppose to be something more by himself or Banjo is permanently a part of Evolt.

The fact Evolt panicked for a split second when the Magma Knuckle worked again and how the fight scenes play it, Magma is definitely stronger

Okay, Great Dragon was a surprise. I just wish he had kept the form for longer than a few seconds. I actually liked the way it looked.

From the stats, Great Cross-Z is on par with Cross-Z Charge in power, but Magma is still stronger. So Great Cross-Z just replaces Charge.

I can see why he uses it this week, but does he use it next week? Does his hazard level increase more when he uses it?

It's his new base form, and yes he does.

This haphazard way of creating forms for Cross-Z is one of the bigger problems with Build. It really ought to have gone Cross-Z -> Great Cross-Z -> Cross-Z Magma and leave Cross-Z Charge out completely. I'm not one of the Charge haters, but using a new belt so soon after getting your "Mark I" only to go back to the old belt later is aesthetic whiplash.

Alternatively, Charge could've been used in a movie or video special.

Even though Magma is stronger, he will use Great Cross-Z a lot just to promote the toy for it.

They need one of the main riders to use it in order to sell and two riders using it definitely sells the sclash driver.

How will the others get Sento back? I wish his mother returned.

Maybe he'll make the Genius Bottle while he's in the Katsuragi state. My theory is he'll go to his Project Build file and see "the last file" of the Fullbottle he's making and showing more on why he's leaving Fuast.

I'm guessing that he will get Sento's memories back but keep Katsuragi's memories and be force to reconcile his two personas. As much as both he and the show have treated them as two people, they really aren't, and now he'll be forced to confront that.

Great episode, I liked the fighting a lot. Even though Grease has (sort of) been getting his ass kicked lately I like that his form has stayed the same the entire time. I like the character and like the look of his Rider form.

Whereas Banjo, while all his forms look pretty good, it's inconsistent. He's had what? Like six forms now?

Looks like Rogue gets an upgrade next episode too.

One of the things I have always loved about Build is its approach to mystery and personality. For a tokusatsu show aimed at kids for the sake of selling merchandise, it can show surprising depth. Which is why I disliked the cosmic scale Evolt represented.

Let me be clear, I don't hate Evolt and the threat he represents. In fact, it was inevitable for the show to go at this scale. It is a Rider staple after all. But I always loved the mystery aspect of this show a lot more.

Which is why I like the fact that Kiryuu Sento has originality wise become Katsuragi Takumi. It has now beautifully married the two subplots together. And it is fitting that Katsuragi Takumi step into the endgame of killing Evolt, finishing what he started.

Of course, Kiryuu Sento's personality will be back. I don't doubt it. But it would be nice that Katsuragi Takumi be forced to reconcile with his memories as Sento and become an amalgam of both.

One last thing, I love how quickly Gentoku admitted that he became head of the science division through nepotism. Just shows that good old Himuro Taizan wasn't the goody-two shoes that he pretended to be.

By upgrade, do you mean Mad Rogue? I mean...From the gesture, it doesn't look like to be the same Rogue as Gentoku....

Watching Banjou get beaten to a bloody pulp and still run back to punch Evolt despite not being able to transform was cool as hell. I keep going back and forth on if he is my new favorite secondary Rider (my current favorite is Kagami from Kabuto), and this definitely gives him a few more points in that ongoing competition.

I liked the episode, even if Great Cross-Z seems a bit random. The design was very cool, it was a simple but elegant change for the base Cross-Z suit and I wouldn't mind seeing more of it. Considering how HOT the Magma form is I imagine that will be the case. The upcoming bit with Katsuragi intrigues me, there are a lot of interesting things the writers could do there!

Well that's one way to stop your arch nemisis from going into the building where his most desired artifact is being held, levitate the entire building and take it somewhere else... I hope that change is permanently in effect for the rest of the series as it would be a bit silly if all of a sudden the café was back to where it was originally as soon as next episode.

Still enjoying this series quite a bit actually. Though I suspect Bandai's change of plans regarding what they were going to sell may have affected how the end of the show is playing out and Evolt having the solutions to everything is starting to feel like an easy way of making sure that he still seems a threat and still getting what he wants. I do like how he used the tripe rider kick finisher from Grease, Cross and Rogue to recharge the Evol Trigger though.

Enjoyed the episodes noticed some problems but I am just hoping these are the natural hiccups a rider series can have just all pushed closer together. Just hope there are very little to no more hiccups from now to the end.

Also why the hell do people keep thinking Gentoku will become Mad Rogue? Hopefully not just because rogue is in the name because that would be stupid since you never saw Wataru become Dark Kiva or Tendou become Dark Kabuto just because they have similar names.

Idk if it's because of some of our expectations become too high because I remembers exaid, Gaim, and many others started strong, but quite a few of us find the final arc to its ending doesn't feel right. I guess that same with star war fans feel about the last Jedi. People love fan service and things to go a certain way, but maybe not too overly cliche and predictable. also, definitely not like the Taisen movies, but good in a way like the infinity war. Rider series like drive suffer from a drought of fillers and overly stretch out plot devices waiting to be resolve, but the second half was amazing because we start to lose expectation.
