I would love a toy like this if it was say Bumblebee or somebody I had more attachment to. I just can't see spending this money for a rainbow Prius. That said , I think I just like that it's scaled big enough to fit all 3 figures in it.

I want to get it along with the 3 figuarts, but I'm in the same boat as KamenRiderOOO.

Figuarts are pricy enough but buying a big car to cart around three figures? No thank you Bandai.

If one were to get all three AkibaRangers, the MoeMoeZ Cune, and Itashar Robo? You're looking at close to a grand, maybe a little more with shipping, conversion rate, and taxes.

Yeah, I'd rather buy the Avengers Hot toys for that much.

Trust me man. My pockets are not deep. Far from it :lol As ST knows I've had to put off purchasing ALOT of other stuff to afford this one. I've planned out my toy purchases as best as I can for the next few months and I believe I can handle this one by dropping out on quite a few retail releases and most of the web exclusives Id planned to get.

And it'snot $500 either considering Amiami's price is over 8000 yen off regular retial.

Ok ok, there is a lot of talk about it being a $500 Alternator, but if you really break it down, it's not that bad. First of all, the MSRP is indeed at 36,750 Yen, but AmiAmi's discount of 16%, it is now 29,080 Yen, that's 7,670 Yen difference, almost $100 in savings. Secondly, Figuarts is about 1/12 scale (give or take) so we are getting a 1/12 transformable robot that's based on an actual licensed vehicle WHICH the Akibarangers can fit inside in either mode. Third, standing at almost 15 inches tall it's as big as MP Convoy but with heck of a lot more intricate details. Lastly, it's freaking AKIBARANGER'S CAR!! That tampo printed Z-Cune Aoi car wrap is beautiful! I spent about that much for the 1/3000 Yamato Macross SDF-1 and I don't regret it one bit.

For 500, I think it should be capable of playing of Heroic Lilly. :lol

And I still think you're batshit crazy. I like Akibaranger, I want Blue and Red very very very badly. But there's no way, on Zordon's green Earth, I can justify to myself paying even the discounted price for that. I'd rather save my money for the American Release of the Goseiger toys.

As much as I love Akibaranger, I'm gonna have to pass on this toy, as I've been saving up for a new car (a real one, BTW) for next month.

Nope. Buying this would require me to like that design. Even if I did, it's waaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaay to much. Neat idea though. Just wish it was for a Sentai that's better than Akibaranger.

Does anybody wonder why Bandai/Toei chose the Toyota Prius to be Machine Itashar? It tells people that Hiroyo-chan is filthy rich from her earnings as the seiyuu of Aoi-tan. Mind you, cars are significantly more expensive in Japan due to higher road taxes, insurance costs and parking regulations - even for hybrids such as the Prius. It would've made more sense if they used a Kei car instead.

I want to say that having the Prius as Machine Itashar is product placement by Toyota, but not once did I see the Toyota logo on the ending credits.

Sadly not buying. I want it pretty badly but there's no way I can afford it on a student budget. It'll just have to go and sit in the list of holy grails for a while :lol

Akibaranger is a fantastic brilliant show. Its certainly far better than Gobusters has been.
