Evolt and Mad Rogue have completely overwhelmed the heroes. Sento's only chance for victory is if he can find a way to unlock the ultimate potential of his FullBottles...

Just so that nobody gets their hopes up, the real debut of Genius is probably going to be next week since the toy doesn't come out until June 16th.

Build Genius Form's debut episode are still in episode 39 but the full fight in episode 40. Maybe will be similar to Ghost Mugen Damashii's debut episode.

That doesn't mean anything. Toys coming out at least a week after the form's debut in the show isn't strange in the slightest, especially for the later upgrades. Magma itself came out the week after episode 31, but it'd be silly to argue that wasn't the real debut. The Evol Driver came out two weeks after Kamen Rider Evol showed up, etc. You can find plenty of examples from previous seasons (Maximum and Mugen come to mind). It doesn't necessarily mean that it won't be something liked Mad Rogue last episode, but still, it doesn't mean much.

Welp. Genius is here. I can finally stop watching. Enjoy the remaining ~9 episodes, everyone.

I like the henshin apparatus. Looks cool.

Gotta say, Genius looks a lot better in action than I thought it would. Actually looks pretty good seeing it in motion

i agree, unless the form was only used for one episode never again and the toy comes out, i can understand their frustration.

Ryuga's gag about partying is really out of place at a time like this. If they're not careful the last episodes of Build will become as unbearable as anything from Drive or Ghost.

Next episode looks interesting. Back to dark experiments and impending apocalypses.

I really liked Katsuragi's catchphrases and poses for the Build transformation, wish we could have gotten more of that and Utsumi's really growing as a character like this, about time

That.....Henshin.....That suit........That jingle.....

Every bottle slotting into the suit as an energy source that then flows into the suit is fantastic, I love the fact that the head and body colors are reversed just like how the human body works with the left controlling the right and the right controlling the left.

Except they aren't. The head is reversed compared to the arms...but are the same as the legs. For that parallel to work, the arms and legs would have to match...but they don't, they're reversed.

Your right, but I still think that was part of the design idea to an extent, either way it looks lovely.

idk, it's the first episode of the series that's felt like filler to me.

Other than Sento coming back and a new suit debut, (which feels like that's happening an awful lot lately), nothing really happened.

...and I guess I'm the only one who thinks all the bottles sticking out of the suit looks goofy. Reminds me of an ashtray with cigarette butts sticking up all over him.

Oh well. Almost 40 episodes before one struck me as filler and just being an, 'ok' episode isn't a bad run.

We're in the home stretch.

But... Katsuragi developing and Sento accepting his past hardly counts as filler right?

God, remember when Genius first leaked back in December and literally everyone loathed it?

yeah, but that 'sento gets his memory back' was like 5 seconds out of the entire episode. And we've know that was going to happen, it was obvious.

idk, like I said it just feels like the first episode for me that was kind of, "meh"

and we just did the 'new suit' thing last episode.

(not even counting Evolt/Stalk and Banjo constantly getting new suits lately.)

Just feels like different people are writing the episodes than the episodes that filled up the bulk of the middle.

this episode felt like a commericial for a Mad Rogue figure, a Genius figure, a Genius Driver,....and wasn't really about the characters.

Like Grease and Banjo fighting,...just because? Filler.

It's fine. One episode giving me that feeling out of Thirty-Nine really isn't bad.

Why didn’t Misora’s memories appear on Sento’s mind. The parts from episodes 22&36 would’ve helped too.

They're really making katsuragi silly to ease the tension. His whole narcissistic praises to himself.

Not really, they're just establishing where Sento got that from because Katsuragi was narcissistic. Also I demand a scene where Sento chats with his mother again because goddamn that's bugging me

I rather like Genius, its all shiny and colorful and quite unique looking. Personally speaking, this episode felt less like filler than some of the other episodes, although I would still hesitate to call any episodes from this show filler at all. I really liked how they managed to establish that Katsuragi and Sento both have some surprising similarities, but also that they are still their own people too. Speaking of some people disliking Banjou's joke at the beginning of the episode, I think it was intentionally awkward and Banjou was just trying to ease the tension. He mentions later that things get too gloomy without Sento around later after all.

I can help but be amused that seeing Banjou lying on the ground after being beaten to a bloody pulp is what triggered Sento's memories to come back. It made it feel like the strongest thing Sento associated Banjou with was getting beaten up.:lolol

The Genius Henshin blew my mind wow another great plot ep.

Well, I'll admit one thing. Genius looks a lot better in the show than I expected. In fact, I think he has the best transformation scene of all Rider forms, with Claws Magma coming at a close second. Seeing all those bottles sliding into place was oddly satisfying.

But that doesn't change the fact that this episode leaned a bit on the mediocre side. Which is fine, by the way. You can't keep hitting home runs and sixers, every once in a while, you have to play it low to go through. And to be honest, this episode wasn't even bad mediocre; I think it's just that we, the viewers, have become accustomed to Build being on point so much that an average episode looks bad to us now.

And in spite of me calling it mediocre, I will list two things, beside the Genius transformation, that I felt were good. The first was both Katsuragi
and Utsumi raising important questions about Evolt and his driver. The second was Utsumi' actor's bad, bad acting. I mean, I don't know about you people but that Nishime Shun's levels of bad acting. Which turned it into unintentional hilarity.

So overall, not bad, could be better, will stay tuned in for the rest.

Utsumi's breaking seemed abrupt. Not that we the viewers don't know where he's coming from, but still..it seemed too abrupt from last episode and this episode.

Still, love this episode.

It'll be cooler if there's more details on each individual bottle and where does the copies of the bottles comes from? Also, the movie doesn't look that intriguing with astronauts and probably some retcons. I rather they expand the lore of mars or Evolt's race. He's literally megahex from Gaim. Maybe they'll do that for a Vcinemas return for Grease. He'll probably get a better power up form then. Also, I'm curious about that stats for Build Genius even though power levels doesn't mean shit, but like ExAid, build riders are all many times stronger than previous riders.

I rather see him trying to get revenge secretly by acting like he enjoy being Evolt's pawn.

So in this episode we find out Dan apparently teaching classes on how to be insane narcissists. I would like to know where these classes are, when they are, and how to join them. I need to know for a uh friend . . . his name is Spirichu . . .

ofc Genius has to debut like the last 1 or 2 mins before the episode ended. Cool henshin sequence though.

dislike how Ryuga didnt go Magma against Mad Rogue since im sure he will be able to fight equally or overpower him since I assume they both have around Hazard Level 5.

Hope Grease will be able to kick butt again starting next ep...since he has double the twin breaker.

^ I was wondering that fact about Banjo as well. But he also was already fairly beat the heck up. It's a marathon of getting your Hazard level kicked.

Genius. That Henshin. It's not the suit that makes it, much the same as Cross-Z Magma. It's the digital henshin that's used. So bonus.

I actually don't feel like this was filler either. As with all other Build episodes, there was so much to digest in one sitting that even minutiae is part of the plan later on.

Fully enjoyed the episode myself, cannot agree with calling it filler since it was dealing with the main character finally regaining both sides of himself, I assume at least he now has all his memories and regained the ones he made over the last two years as build.

ok there was like 5 minutes of story and character growth and 17 minutes of filler.
