How do you picture Lupinranger vs Patoranger as Power Rangers?
With Hasbro now owning Power Rangers, how do you picture Lupinranger vs Patoranger used in the future?
I could picture the series with Sly Cooper vibes? |

Personally I’d want it to sorta spin off SPD. The Lupins are thieves who jacked some experimental morphers and are trying to collect the Lupin Collection stuff for some reason. Probably not to bring back their dead families because, well, American kid show. Pats would be SPD rangers tasked with catching our thieving main characters.
|
Yeah, with the potential Multiverse connections I can see elements from SPD featured in Lupin/Pat’s PR adaptation, maybe even an appearance or two from the SPD Rangers themselves.
|
The Kogure counterpart should be pretty much Salem from Sabrina The Teenage Witch. :lolol
A literal talking cat. |

The Lupinrangers aren't really villains. They only steal the Lupin Collection, nothing else, and work honest jobs otherwise.
|
I hope Lupinrangers and Patrangers are same characters in American Adaptation. The three people who can become Lupinranger and Patranger as double agent Rangers between theft and police will be really interesting.
So they are can transform into Lupin mode and Pat mode. |
We don't know if Hasbro will adapt the sentai.

If connected with S.P.D., then it should be that S.P.D. has only barely taken itself public, with a police force that is the genesis of public extraterrestrial relations!
The two sides are less villainous, but they have a connection to their pasts! Possibly they are childhood friends or met each other in younger days briefly. If they did a "cops-and-robbers" theme when the sides were kids, then perhaps the Patrangers played the robbers and the Lupinrangers played the cops but ended-up on opposites sides as they got older! The Ganglers are the main concern. Dogranio doesn't amuse me, design-wise. Either replace him with a Zyuohger villain like Pocane Daniro from Zyuohger Returns (which also has a crime theme) or make somebody new! https://www.grnrngr.com/monsters/pic...canedaniro.jpg Gauche feels like she would not work for P.R. and American censors. Again, whether Zyuohger is or isn't adapted, I would use Naria here! This necessitate the fact that most of the Monster enlargements would have to be redone! Destra doesn't feel like an issue! Podaman do, given they look like a skull with a bullet in it! I would use the Clothes/Close from ToQger as they would keep the "crime-theme"! They actually did use elements of the Close in Ep. 11 during the Patranger Movie plot! Since they are COPS in a supposed kids show, and since S.P.D. skirted the "Delete Approved" of Dekaranger with "Card Containment", then most of the Gangler Monsters should be a tad different from Sentai. Given that the Gangler naturally (or unnaturally) have safes on their bodies, then perhaps P.R. could use "Monsters" who are actually human criminals Monster forms with added safes, only for the Monster form to be "destroyed" and the human safely arrested! The Team Gear should not be directly related to whatever the "Lupin Collection" becomes, and since the Lupin Collection nods older Sentai, then it should be directly connected to older P.R. For example, one Lupin Piece looks like a Changer from Timeranger, painted gold! This Piece should become the de-powered version of a new Chrono Morpher for Time Force Gold! As for names, I'm along the lines of "Power Rangers Phantom Patrol", though that is tentative! |
We all know that Toei likes Lupinranger so much that Patranger looks like "secondary rider" despite their name on the title. I think Hasbro will do the opposite. They will make Patranger the star and Lupinranger the "secondary rider" considering thief is bad. Or maybe they won't make the Lupinranger as thief but something else like how Saban make Super Megaforce as ordinary kids instead of pirates.

Thief rangers go to college while Cop rangers go to university.
The X Ranger is someone who tries to bring them together. |
All I know is that I would be deeply amused if the cop Rangers got the main focus.

No idea if an official adaptation would follow this, but in a fan adaptation I’m following on FF.Net, it has the Lupins as a group of assistant librarians whose parent vanished in a lab accident where there was ice in summer. The Pats are reinterpreted as a group of space police who’ve come to Earth to arrest the villains and recover their “weapons”. The fighting between the two teams is only because rate cops refuse to let the other side explain themselves the first few times they meet, so the others decide to stop trying and accept it.

I'd be game for a complete new story in the vain of Hexagon.
|
It could be great if instead of revealing the Lupinrangers' side from the beginning, the story was initially told from the Patrangers' perspective and part of the overarching plot was them piecing together the mysteries surrounding the Lupins. Who are they? What are they after? Why do they treat us as enemies? Why didn't our mentor tell us about them?
I don't have answers to all those, but I'd like if the mentor turned out to be not entirely trustworthy, and if Lupin Red was Pat Red's brother who went missing sometime in the backstory. X could either keep his role as the double agent who wants both teams to work together but keeps secrets from both of them, or he could have a split personality. |

I really want Hasbro to make LuPat as mature as RPM because we never have a mature season since then.

I agree with making it a sequel to SPD, but how I would do it is that the Lupidrangers were uncover SPD officers pretending to betray the team and steal their ranger tech and other things in order to uncover a real SPD traitor. Before they can complete that mission, the officer who secretly assigned them the mission is killed and the Gangler equivilants not only steal a bunch of power artifacts, but also take all the documents proving they were undercover and making it look like they assisted in the theft but turned against each other.
So the Undercover people are trying to recover the artifacts and the evidence clearing them, while the Pat equivilant are the current junior Earth based team who have been tasked with recovering the artifacts and arresting the supposed traitors. The six morphers were supposed to be from the same team, so the main sort is summoned by both of them and when summoned by both teams pretty much randomly picks one. It's not intelligent; it just wasn't designed for two different teams. X is another undercover officer assigned to get the supposed traitors to trust him, but after spending time with them starts to believe them. Eventually the undercover squad is able to prove their innocence in time for the end of the show. |

Well Wild Force was and wasn't mature tbh, it had some moments like the stuff with Dr.Adler but generally it wasn't particularly that memorable in comparison.

I've been thinking of the two ranger teams being from different schools.
The thief rangers from a poor environment but getting enough money needing to go to college. The cop rangers come from a rich environment as they go to university. I can picture Ranger X French who's trying to bring both teams together as one force, showing that titles like thieves & cops don't always define you. Your actions define you as heroes. What would be good morphing calls? SS/PR: It's Morphin' Time! Kaitou Change: ? Keisatsu Change: ? |
