Best episode in the lupat series. That fucking gun is so OP. Only the whale gun can top it.

I'll remind everyone that ZyuohWhale's Whale Gun had a crazy ridiculous beam that circled everywhere, tore a chunk out of the Moon, and obliterated the Bunglay "Memory Clones" of Enter and Escape EXPLOSIVELY!!! It surprised Marvelous to no end!

Without having seen the episode yet, but knowing what the Lupin Magnum looks like, I am skeptical but curious. Can anyone say that the Magnum tops that aforementioned attack pattern and character shock value!?

No one said that it did. They said the opposite, in fact, that the Whale Gun was the one thing that does to the Lupin Magnum.

Considering the that we haven't seen everything the gun can do in this episode alone I'd wait. Also, Lupin Magnum might be a first for Super Sentai.

By the way I thought Umika's friend looked familiar so I googled her and found out she played Haruna on Garo before.

It did carve out a chunk out of some mountains but it isnt the same as the Whale Gun.

It took out the enlarged gangler in one shot. I never said it topped the whale gun. I said it's 2nd to the whale gun as far as power is concerned. I suspect that they will nerf it in future episodes as it would be too easy to kill every gangler with it.

It's OP, because it is Arsene Lupin's favorite collection piece.

So? AbareBlack's sword could crush giant monsters in one blow too. While rare, the Magnum is far from the only Sentai weapon capable of this. I'm pretty sure there are one or two others as well.

Zubaan in Boukenger might be a candidate to a lesser extent.

KanKan Bar from Go-Onger shrunk a Gaiark Banki in its debut.

The Power-up in ToQger had that special gun which could destroy Kurliner Robos.

Ninninger once shrunk a Kurliner Robo, and Gekiatsu Dai-Oh shot the Ninninger out as a finisher.

And let us not forget that Tsurugi himself destroyed a good bit of the enemies in the sky during his debut.

I don't think people are talking enough about the characterization here with Kairi.

I really, REALLY like what they just displayed here with Kairi, how compared to the others who weren't willing to shoot their loved ones, Kairi had a flashback of when Keichiro was chastising him for going into crime in order to achieve his goals, and while Kairi has kinda been debating himself on this, plus his very brother standing for Kairi being someone who would most likely be ashamed of what Kairi has resorted to, he's finally reached quite a surprising decision: SCREW TRYING TO SATISFY ANYONE--INCLUDING MY CURRENTLY LOST BROTHER, WHO I'M TRYING TO SAVE--I'm doing what I'm doing because I believe it's the right thing to do. That was pretty darn bold of Kairi, and is telling of just how possibly far Kairi is willing to go in order to achieve saving his brother. Even if it means disrespecting what his brother expects of him to act. And what drives in this symbolism even more is how because of this, Arsene Lupin declares that this is a sign that he embodies a true thief.

What I really, REALLY would be interested in seeing for the future, is how this ideology might later on bite him in the butt, to where he possibly goes down a slippery slope where he goes too far down the spiral of crime, and makes him have to confront whether the ends justify the means, and if he's gone too far with his actions of becoming a vigilante. I'm one of the people who carried a complaint about Lupin vs Pat ever since Day 1 that the Lupinrangers aren't "villainous enough" to really make them as polarized to the Patrangers as they should be. Well, this just might be the show's chance to fix this if they do this correctly.
