Introducing Kamen Rider Woz!

Zi-O upgrades to "Zi-O II" and Geiz becomes "Geiz Revive."

I for one am 100% in love with the idea of using "Legend Rider" type forms of Future Riders. It's such a fun idea, and I'm really curious about how it'll play out in the show.

Seems like the show will be doing it's own thing a little more over Legend Rider stuff in the second quarter, which could be fine. Might be fun if they got returning actors (not necessarily Riders themselves but maybe supporting characters) to still appear, maybe play the part of the future Riders? Or maybe have these future Riders as sequels of sorts to past series. I dunno. There's ways they could take this. Really looks like it could be interesting.

Anyway, Zi-O's third sword kinda sucks. Also, that's like two swords too many.

Zi II looks pretty nice all things considered, kinda looks like a mirrored base form. All-in-all, pretty nice for a Super form!

Geiz Revive is a true oddball. Would've expected a Diend Upgrade. I guess this may mean he'll die at some point and come back? Or get erased from time only to come back via the Revive Ride Watch. Speaking of which, his chest looks suspiciously like the Ex-Aid Rider's health bar chest. Hmmm.... (Seriously, I hope they pick up on the whole "Future Kamen Rider Ghost travels to the past to get the Gashats so as to prevent people from dying in the future" plot that was heavily hinted at in the last episode of Ghost.

Woz Looks pretty amazing. My mind is blown with the fact that they just decided to abandon the Legend Rider gimmick for him. If I'm not mistaken, are there two faceplates for each form? And I sincerely hope that either these themes get used for future rider shows, or actual future rider forms. Either way, I love it.
EDIT: Totally missed the fact that the forms with faceplates are the actual Kamen Riders hope to see them in the show at some points (since the aren't shown anywhere else in the scans).

Oh and Final Form Ridewatches. Somewhat expected but kind of nice. Would have rather that they just made Ridewatches of other Riders, but considering these all have text in the Driver, it makes sense that they're used here. Although it's odd that they don't specify whether ZI-O II will use them or Base Zi-O. Hmm...

Maybe they should rename Geiz Revive to Geiz Hazard Form :lol

really digging Woz color scheme. Green, silver and blue.

Don't know if the three other riders will be time jacker related or what, but if not, this show could end with a huge number of fighters.
EDIT : oh my bad they are riders that Woz use watches. Maybe we won't actually see these 3.

Right, I'm not gonna lie. I understand they've done this before but I find it super hilarious and amazing they're actually using Riders post Zi-O. I wouldn't mind a Kamen Rider Shinobi in 2019.

Okay, listen...if he doesn't get an Aqua watch, I'm throwing a huge fit.

Man, I totally had an idea for a Rider series that would feature Kamen Rider The Last, who would be able to channel the power of all riders before him, and him being the literal last rider that would include many riders that didn't actually exist yet. I may have posted about it here before. I guess it's kinda cool to see Woz using my idea. Also kind of annoyed knowing that Woz becomes a rider :/

Digging the upgrade for Zi-O, even if the name leaves a bit to be desired. Geiz Revive, makes me curious if he dies and comes back or something to achieve his new form.

Alright I'm super into these power ups. Zi-O becoming Zi-O II is just a cool way to name a power-up. Kind of like G3 and G3-X. And I love the way the design has changed. Geize similarly looks like a really cool and natural progression of his first form.

Definitely saw Woz as a Rider coming, but not quite this soon honestly. But I dig it. Now I wonder if the 3 future riders themselves will actually get any real focus or development other than just being mentioned as future riders. It would have been insanely cool if they'd used any of the actual riders from the future the franchise has produced, like New Den-O, Aqua, and the proper Eiji-Drive from 2035.

So the third Rider is... Kamen Rider Necrom?

"Future Riders" is a great idea. These designs, however, are relatively uninspired; they look too similar for me to buy them as future Riders. Feels like there's a missed opportunity here. 2020's Rider has most likely been designed by now; they could probably use that.

Kamen Rider Woz looks really cool. I think his Rider design are tribute to Kamen Rider Necrom. I think it will be really interesting too if Kamen Rider Woz's debut are in Ghost Tribute Episodes. Hopely Takeru and Alain will be return in Zi-O series...

I know they have already hinted at forms for the Movie riders from between eras but does anyone think they will have Showa era rider forms before this is over?

Zi-O already represents the past.

What about the present?

I kinda just want a Kamen Rider Quiz show now, that helmet design just speaks to me. Also I could see the gimmick for Kikai being swappable limbs and his transformation tokens being being bolts. You know like a superhero Frankenstein's Monster.

Honestly if these guys are the actual next three Riders I would blown away.

You know, with how Geiz starts the series with the Ghost RideWatch, and how Uhr for some reason has the Captain Ghost that can combine with his Time Mazine, I'm not entirely surprised that Kamen Rider Woz (who I am sorta surprised and not, since we see him just block Another Fourze's punch like nothing) is Necrom-based. It just begs the question of "How and why is KR Ghost so important and what happened to him". It's a nice touch that he uses the powers of future Riders, very cool. Hope we do get to see them in the future as real Riders, though I'm sure time-travel shenanigans will reset the timeline and prevent their creation for whatever reason.

Kamen Rider Woz. This is going to be interesting.

Makes me wonder what we might see for the Time Jackers later. Kinda figured Woz was going to need a new belt though.

Still looking forward to other new rider reveals, but Woz is going to be interesting to see. With his entire "being a servant of Oma Zi-O" schtick going, it makes sense he'd have a different belt.

Love the new ride watches too.

That's essentially Sougo. Woz is more a contrasting name rider. Future forms, past tense linking verb styled name. So he's essentially "a link to the past."

Also interesting are the rider forms. Shinobi was expected, Quiz is funny since it references Rider trivia and also "Jeopardy" so it's very "Riders in Jeopardy". And Kikai seems to lean more on the mechanical translations of the word, but also seems to reference building new opportunities or creating opportunities(mechanism for an opportune future?). So it seems there's a word play hidden in his forms too. Though he may have one more form still not revealed, maybe two(besides any power up forms). So like his name, there are many meanings buried within.

Like I said elsewhere, Woz is the Sebastian to Sougo's Ciel. Though to add to that. Woz is the harbinger of what was and will be.

Going on this trend of watches though:
There's the 'holy trinity' of watches, which is likely our main trio. But there are also atomic clocks, and now smart watches, besides the original watch of the future that was digital watches. So there still are some potential things to mess with in "new belts".

Personally, I thought Woz would have been the Atomic Clock reference. Keeping time on track and accurate. But the smart watch theme fits him too. Kind of makes me think he might get an atomic clock power up later.

Multi-layered naming like Geiz. So it's possible. And fits too with how he's seemingly the Sebastian to Sougo's Ciel, and by extension of the metaphor dynamic would mean he's the Wozniak to Jobs.

Going off of what we knew of Woz early on, and how his name was also considered "Wars", it seems like they streamlined it to more meanings. "War" (pronounced "var") is a past tense word in german similar to the english word "was"(and is often translated as such). You also have the "Woes" pronunciation, and the english "Was", and the word play of "Wozniak". As in half of his name nodded, which also fits to that concept of Woz as the Sebastian to Sougo's Ciel, as he's only half of the name.

So it seems like he was intended as a multi-layered word play of "Was" from the start, including his actions of maintaining "what was" for oma zi-o's rise.

Wait wait wait. So Woz is going to use future Kamen Riders to turn into "Futuring Forms"? Makes sense of from a 2018/2019 perspective, but from a 2068 perspective, wouldn't that mean that Shinobi, Quiz and Kikai are past Kamen Riders (before 2068)? Or are they from after 2068, like 2086?

I mean, let's say that (just an example in 2018) you live in 2068. You decide to harness past Kamen Rider powers and call them Futuring Forms. That's like you trying to put Kabuto or Blade or any pre-2018 Rider into a form from after their shows and call them "Future Forms". Shouldn't it be "Past Forms?"

Not complaining, just confused about the logic of this. Otherwise, lovin' it!

Bringing logic to toku or anime rarely actively works. But it's one of those "watch and find out" things.

So that's where Kikai's design comes from. The other two were pretty immediately recognizable, but that one threw me for a loop. Thought it was Drive at first, but the Guardian head matches up a lot better. Didn't see that coming.

look like some lazy ghost and foot soldiers /motw riders. Should of use real future riders like neo deno, kiva, ooo, and drive as well.

Future themes. Though past influences.
Any actual future accurate rider depictions we'd see in the main trio. Woz would be his history influenced versions of those themes. But Quiz is also a trivial pursuit.

Quiz and Kikai are based on past riders though(Ghost and Drive mixed with other influences). Shinobi might be influences of a future one with elements of Ex-Aid and a dash of Build.

Interesting how he has a kind of 'tv' head too. Granted it's evocative of a smart watch too.

Also, the Geiz and Zi-O power up forms show us what those were on the hacked belt list, covering the 0000 and the Next.

Quiz seems to be more of a retool of Sasword rider form from Kabuto than Ghost Ore Damashi now that I look at it closer.

I really curious to Woz in Quiz Form, Hmm....I think the opponent will be confused by Woz when he uses Quiz abilities.....

Or, maybe Quiz has similar ability with Ghost Ikkyu Damashii's ability.....

Zi-O new form Zi-O II looks great the form I like the most. Don't care for the sword.

Woz being a rider I knew it would happen after watching ep 5. I don't like the colors of the suit. Him using future rider powers that's different looking to see how this will play out in the show. Most future riders are a retool of past riders.

Was hoping for the girl forgot how her name spell would get a rider form since it in the driver so maybe 3 Quarter scans.

Does have sasword's emblematic, with hues of Kyu Orange. Also seems like the torso might be from elements of Chalice.

What if Kamen Rider Shinobi, Quiz and Kikai are not future Kamen Rider shows, but from Zi-O? I can see them as part of the resistance movement in 2068.

Bit of both really.
Shinobi is a constant, there will eventually be another Ninja themed rider or form. In fact, it's one of the few things that's never been done as a full show theme entirely, but is an underlying theme of all in many ways.

Kikai is literally every "machine made" rider. With another one sometime in the future. (G3 through build, tech based riders are a theme constant. Hence the basis of the Build Drone soldier costume elements reused.)

And Quiz is the constant question of what's next. The ghost of christmas future if you will. With a specialized design lean on Chalice, Ghost, and Kyu Orange. It's very October Scorpio leaning intentionally. Which is also why it carries elements of Sasword too. The underlying mystery of every show. Representing the eternal question of what's next, as well as the question of some belt origins that don't fit the other two archetypes. The relic/artifact henshin device of questionable or mysterious origin.

But I don't think these are resistance riders. This looks like it's the 'next generation' of jikuu driver, while the resistance only has its hands on the Jikuu Driver and maybe a prototype version. Seemingly with an intentional design lilt towards FLCL, because of how it's something pulled out of heads.

How Woz's belt seems to adhere to the template questions of a rider series overall that's been throughout Heisei, that's what makes me wonder if he still has one more form at least, and a power up form. Because while he's covering the three main aspects in his forms and his base forms, he is missing one key component to all series still besides a power up device.

Are there expected to be any villain grunts in this series at all?

Any grunts tend to be ones seen in past series (IE Another Ex-Aid summoning Bugsters.)

I take that back. You might be right. It would make sense they'd have spies and saboteurs trying to stay ahead of the fight gaining whatever edge they could. Which actively does go back to that whole "Woz as Sebastian" thing and how he'd actively clean up that mess for his liege.

But how they represent the basis for all rider series seems to be true overall. The design nods even speak to that. Shinobi's scarf. Kikai's Wrenches. Quiz's question mark and other design elements. Still one key component missing though that you'd think would get a rider, but I guess it was set aside for other reasons.
