Figure-Rise Standard Kamen Rider W Revealed!
3 Attachment(s)
Release details pending, but Figure-Rise W was among those revealed by Bandai Spirits during a model kit exhibition at a hobby show in Japan.

Can we expect a Decade in this line, now?
|
That's super interesting; I didn't expect them to do a different scale figure of a suit they'd already done in the 1/8 line. Hoping to see Ichigo and Skull at some point!
Though I'd really like to start seeing some secondary riders from the standard line. Cross-Z and Gatack would be a great start... Either way I'm very happy about this. I consider W/OOO/Fourze a trio of sorts, and since I pre-ordered Seihou OOO but I really can't get past Seihou W's aftermarket pricing... this will be a very lovely substitute! |
Any more info on this? It looks fantastic and at the usual pricing I'm gonna buy it anyway; but I do wanna know a bit more. In particular, that middle seam looks a little open near the bottom -- maybe there's a form change gimmick...

Awesome. Never enough W or model kits. I really hope OOO is next and they follow through with the form-swapping the MG failed to deliver on.
|
... well then!
Very interested! https://pbs.twimg.com/media/D6Ai3ocU8AEOxLS.jpg https://pbs.twimg.com/media/D6Ai3oZUwAAg5bm.jpg |
I want this to be on order badly now.
|
I just got into model kits. Are Figure-rise Standards the equivalent to Gunpla's HG, or RG? Since MG Figurerise is MG.

Obviously the rerelease of Seihou Figuarts Kuuga took up all the attention today; but quite significantly, pre-orders for not just Cyclone/Joker but Heat/Metal and Luna/Trigger went up today! The latter two are the same standard price; while Cyclone/Joker is... about £1 more expensive? Weird, but alright; not gonna lose sleep over it.
Cyclone/Joker and Heat/Metal are slated for an August release while Luna/Trigger comes out in September. The accessory count is relatively low for Figure-Rise but really, considering how basic W's loadout is; he comes with everything he needs and I'm more than happy with it considering we have working Joker Extreme and Form Change gimmicks. They all come with a display base, interchangeable hands, and their respective memories which are interchangeable themselves. For accessories unique to each figure, Heat/Metal has both an open and stored version of the Metal Shaft; Luna/Trigger has the Trigger Magnum - which from multiple pictures, seems to be functional - and Cyclone/Joker of course has parts for the working Joker Extreme gimmick. We've also got pictures which show how the Joker Extreme and Form Change works, as well as an example of the working Driver! https://cdn.discordapp.com/attachmen...ans57846_4.png https://hlj.com/media/catalog/produc...ans57846_6.jpg https://hlj.com/media/catalog/produc...ans57846_3.jpg https://hlj.com/media/catalog/produc...ans57846_7.jpg https://hlj.com/media/catalog/produc...ans57846_5.jpg |
Thanks for the heads up! I'd been staring longingly at the new Figuarts W despite the price. Good to know there's an alternative.

I'm actually at a point where even if they were the same price, I want the figure-rise versions of W and Kabuto MORE than their Renewal Figuarts due to the form change gimmicks |
