I thought it was boring TBH.

Budget taisen specials with crazy team combo and flashy guests vet. Look like gaizorg is a movie special exclusive villain. Anyway, I think if they just focus on the main 5 encountering each other under unexpected circumstances and forced to work together to seek out or defeat a enemy is better then these milk out cliche with no heart besides promoting upcoming kishiryu

That was better than I feared it would be. I was expecting something on par with a Super Hero Taisen movie, but this wasn't nearly as bad. It's not great or anything, but it's pretty decent for a filler miniseries. It's cool to see some cameos from other Sentai actors, too, not just the main five.

So, does this officially solidify VRV Master as a Sentai ranger/Extra hero?

Anyway, it was okay. Nothing mind blowing, but enjoyable to a degree. Curious about the Luka mystery, and I like seeing Yamato again.

The battles were nice, with a good amount of comedy thrown in with Bouken Silver and Go-On Red.

First part was immensely enjoyable. A little mindless, but Koichi Sakamoto's signature action is always a joy to watch.

Cool to see all the characters interact and they even had body doubles and used archived voice clips for certain characters. Really gives the impression that the characters are really there.

Bouken Silver and Go-On Red's scene made me laugh.

And Yamato and Keiichiro having that sit-down talk was great, funny and totally in-line with their characters.

So far Marvelous is acting on his own and Kagura hasn't had a chance to transform yet. Takaharu is just kinda there. But I really like this odd-ball team regardless.

I haven't enjoyed watching a Sentai this much since I don't know when. It felt like watching Gokaiger again with all that fanservice. Also I'm curious with what happened to muh waifu Luka since she was missing and we all know she is the other Gokaiger confirmed to appear out of suit.

And dammit Yamato, I don't like Zyuohger but you just had to prove once again why you're one of the best Red Rangers.

What?! No zyuranger?!

Hmmm... Complete lack of dinosaur sentai team members... A witch that lives in Bandora's Palace trying to assemble a mystical space rock... A mysterious armored knight trying to gather strength...

My random guess is that Rita is trying to create a giant wish meteor to wipe out dinosaurs from ever existing, thus fulfilling the wish of her mother Bandora. Gaisorg is actually the embodiment of all the dinosaur Sentai's powers, akin to AkaRed, trying to find a host to wield it's power. This will then lead to the Ryusoulgers showing up with the other dinosaur sentais to beat Rita. (I can also see Team Oddball using Ryusoulger's Power Souls to fight alongside them, that or Marvelous giving them Ranger Keys.) Ultimately though this is all set up for a massive movie crossover between all the dinosaur sentai teams, where they fight all a combined army of all their foes determined to rid the universe of dinosaurs. Made in part so it can used for Power Ranger footage. I can also see the Kyoryuger Brave mecha being used here, too.

If that was how the plot turns out, that'd be pretty neat~

Bandora ended up redemed though, so I would not be okay with that.

She gave up all the powers of Satan when she cried for her her child dying, again..... What is with that season and the next and murdering children on screen..... In Dairanger they do it multiple times... One involves being crushed alive....

Seeing it properly, I thought it was decent.
I do like how Yamato talks things out with Keiichiro, proving that he's one of the best reds in Sentai, and the things in the episode is decent.
My main grip is that with Sakamoto doing the action it felt a bit subpar. I was hoping for balls to the wall, wire work action, but here it was a bit meh. Hopefully it'll be better towards the end,

Man, this remake of Chou Super Hero Taisen is a major improvement on the original. :lol

I didn't expect much of this, and it isn't anything particularly special, but I certainly had boatloads of fun with this first episode. If nothing else, it's further proof that Yamato is THE most ちょうかっこイーグル Red there is. Notorious jerk Captain Marvelous instantly listens to what he says, and instead of picking pointless fights with fellow heroes, he convinces them to sit down and politely discuss their feelings. What an absolute legend.

Really enjoyed the first part actually. I wasn't really expecting anything too grand since this is only really a short filler series made solely for having all the past characters fight each other so I knew what I was getting into. And it was actually quite fun with a lot of fighting involved and a fair amount of similar moments.

My favourite part was when Keichiro admitted that he was aiming for world peace as his wish... and then Yamato's reaction got me.

Somehow I get the impression that the Ryosougers are going to be the REAL winners of this Battle Royale though.

On another note, I find Rita REALLY annoying. Is it just me? Possibly, because I find this particular character archetype incredibly annoying.

That list is really interesting for what it doesn't include. There's heavy coverage of the earliest Sentai teams, but it seems to drop off when we get to more recent ones. It looks like they only wanted to include one member of the teams for the core five, but, like, all the Dairangers and Go-Busters are there. Someone else already noted the absence of Kyoryuger, Abaranger, and Zyuranger, which is probably not a coincidence. No Hurricanegers? Only one Dekaranger? This just seems so random!

HurricaneRed seems to be making an appearance in the next episode.

And Deka Red was in the preview too despite not being part of any of the 32 teams.

Could be Gokai Red changing into Hurricane Red and DekaRed.

Actually I think you're right, that makes sense.

I'd be amused to see Captain Marvelous Gokai Change into a duplicate of someone his team is fighting, only to be suddenly walloped - or, at the very least, chewed-out - by his own team.

Can Marvelous do that? Considering everyone has their powers back, so their ranger keys shouldn't exist anymore?

I'm gonna say that Gaisorg is gonna be like Dogold from Kyoryuger. A living suit of armor that takes a host. Either that or he takes their techniques to make himself stronger. From the preview for the next episode, it definitely shows what seems to be a man in the suit (hair style looks similar to Akaningers) and Marvelous notes that Gaisorg used Luka's technique, so it seems highly plausible it is a living suit of armor that takes a host that it deems to be strong and is finding stronger replacements.

Isn't Akaninger on Marvelous's team, though?

Yes and Gaisorg attacks Akaninger and Sasori Orange at the end of the episode. Possibly they have no control or brainwashed. Like I said, similar to Dogold in Kyoryuger when he possessed Utchy.

Gaizorg was Takaharu this episode, so the living suit of armor idea has merit.

what if rita is actually rita from the power rangers universe and not related to bandora at all aside from that

Ep.2 shows that some of the past Sentai members gave Marvelous their Ranger Keys and told him to use them once again.

Might just be a tribute name wise though, Rita in power rangers together with Zed turned human and later she became the mystic mother for good magic in the power rangers lore.

Rita and Zed had a son who was pure evil and got killed off

That is all about them though, Rita was still a force on the side of good lore wise, so would be a weird heel turn, very likely just a tribute name wise, though who knows, could be a tribute for the Power Rangers film Rita.

this has been a real fun diversion from the regular "seasons"

the reveal in ep2 has me intrigued

these super battles can get messy but they've narrowed the focus

any of yall notice that aside from the dino sentai and goranger, the only other sentai missing is denziman?

Part 2 continues the fun. Character interactions are servicable and I liked the flashbacks. The use of original voices and stand-ins continues to be awesome. And I love the use of original BGM's as well. Hearing the Gaoranger henshin theme was very nostalgic.

Great heart-to-heart talk about being a red between Shishi and Yamato too. Speaking of which, kinda crazy to see how much he's aged, holy moly.

The action was phenomenal, the Zyuoh Eagle one on three fight was simply incredible. Yamato's wish is a bit out of left-field but it fits his character.

Can't wait to see the rest and how the Ryusoul Black and Green subplot ties in.

At first I thought the wierdo team really is a wierd combination but now I love them especially Kagura Takaharu combo lol.

By the way is Keiichiro the representative of both Patranger and Lupinranger or they just didn't count the Lupinrangers?

Well she appears in the teasers for episode 3 and Marvelous noted that Gaisorg was using a technique Luka uses. Same with Takaharu. Gaisorg was possessing her prior to moving to Takaharu
