Which Power Rangers villain that is better than Sentai villain?
 

TBH, I feel more intimidated by Ransik than Don Dolnero.

When I was kid, I was scared by Ransik and when he's get outburst, I was scared!!!! :eek: and he have a tragic backstory which explain why he doing bad thing.

But when I watch Timeranger, Don Dolnero doesn't have same effect as Ransik because he wasn't too scary villain enough.

What is the scary thing that Don Dolnero ever did? Anyone?

Also, I feel intimidated by Mesogog than Abaranger's main villain because I keep forgetting about Wicked Life God Dezumozorlya as the villain spend majority of the show as a FREAKING EGG!!!!

Probably Trakeena for me. Went from a spoiled brat to a leader who's only motivation was revenge. And how can I forget the finale where she just caused chaos.

Lord Zedd was a lot more interesting and menacing than Gorma Emperor XV.

I feel like you kind of missed the point. Dornero wasnt really supposed to be scary like other villians. He's not trying to take over the world or destroy it or whatnot; he's a mob boss who is just trying to amass as much wealth as possible. Sure he does evil things to accomplish that goal, but thats it. He's in it for money.

I get that but he didn’t have same impact as Ransik did.

But at least his goal wasn’t another “Take over the world” or “destroy the world” like most of recent Sentai villains.

Can we have at least 1 Sentai villain that have different motivation than take over or destroy the world? Recent Sentai writers are becoming lazy with their villains.

Although the main villain of Lupinranger and Patranger was more interested in finding his replacement than take over or destroy the world unlike Kyuranger’s main villain.

Fair point about Dezumozorlya but that shit was scary as fuck as it means we have a Sentai villain who has committed rape. That's VERY fucked up

It's so jarring when Abaranger have a happy ending sequence and then you have a Sentai villain raping someone. I mean Abanranger look like kid-friendly show for goodness sake!

dezumozorlya is the most monstrous sentai villain, even if he is very weak character-wise, which is kind of the point. he's an eldritch monster that is beyond basic human comprehension, and he does some very indefensible stuff throughout the series, most especially the rape

mesogog definitely has more of a presence and a way better personality, i'd call them both equally good for different reasons

Uhhhh I think she was called Jeanne? AbareBlack's wife, she's pretty important. I cannot think of any other Sentai villain to even pull that shit. And this is the same season where one of the monsters of the week gives everyone bad hairstyles

I definitely will say that old Sentai shows are more violent than recent Sentai shows and Power Rangers shows.

abaranger hides behind its utter absurdity and then when you least expect it, it suddenly becomes one of the darkest modern sentai seasons. this goes beyond even the rape thing, too, abarekiller's entire arc and especially the ending are the best i can think of

Yeah I remember Nakadai ended up getting fucking stabbed a few times. Granted I don't really remember the specific details on how dark his arc was as I mostly focused on his incredibly fun dynamic

Abarekiller along with DragonRanger and TimeFire got to be the darkest Sentai Sixth Rangers.

Burai is one of memorable part of Zyuranger and he’s the reason of why some people watch Zyuranger for. He’s so popular that producers have to killed him off as he was overshadowed most of Zyurangers.

All three of them died in a tragic way.

I remember Sixth Rangers used to be unique but now they turned Sixth Rangers into just another member of the team than unique member like Kyoryu Gold and StarNinger.

Uhhhhhh so if we're going back to the topic I just realized I can't really talk about it due to only seeing Ninja Storm, Time Force and RPM. I guess Grumm or whatever from SPD as Dekaranger didn't have a villain?

alright but i can say that deboss is probably the worst sentai villain of all time. series would have been better if chaos was just the final villain. on that topic AND on topic, sledge is a better villain than deboss as well, sledge actually does anything and gets in a few wins even

My god! I hated when Deboss told Daigo about his creator in THE LAST FREAKING EPISODE OF THE SHOW! and the majority of the show made no foreshadowing about Deboss’ creator at all.

I feel they put that line so they can set up team-up movie but was that necessary to put in on last episode of the show?

its such bad writing, you didn't have to do that in series, you can just bullshit it up for the crossover movie and not have literally the entire series mean nothing because the ACTUAL villain gets away scott free

i have absolutely no reason why you would do something like that, it only harms the show

I liked that Starninger and Kyoryu Gold just ended up being another part of the team. It was pretty cool and unique.

Shame those seasons didn't have much else going for them

also i actually like that ninninger lets both kibaoni and kyuuemon get big fights, kibaoni is boring but they set him up as a threat and he at least pulled off being a threat. it's better than them just shafting him after a season of build-up

though giving the circumstances i think that ninja steel's handling of the main villains works as well

That’s my problem with that! They introduced them way too early!

One of reasons that I like about Sixth Rangers is they are introduced in usually 17th episodes and they feel like a brand new character that can bring something to the tables like how Burai turn out to be Geki’s older brother and the revelation about Geki not being the son of tribe leader.

AbareKiller bring more conflict for Abarangers and MagiShine being the mentor of Magirangers.

ShinkenGold and GokaiSilver bring more comedic tone for the show since the show is very serious-tone especially Shinkenger.

What do Kyoryu Gold and StarNinger offer to?

Kyoryu Gold: “I used to a servant of Daigo’s ancestor and have a rivalry with Dogold but that’s about it”

StarNinger: “I just have obsession with Yoshitaka and I can play guitar. That’s all”

They don’t bring conflict or something to the tables.

Abarakiller is better. Looks like its a huge cast with kishiryu. gold will be an early one. There isn't a powerful story redefining 6th ranger in a while. Tsurugi tries, but the kyuuranger script isn't the best.

I'd argue Zyuoh TheWorld kinda did that well
