Sougo, Geiz & Tsukoymi have reunited in their quest to save the future- but a new Another Rider appears, more powerful than any they've faced before...

So Kenzaki has absolutely fucked the world by showing up alongside Hajime, dunno if Another Blade also counts as a Joker undead buuut.

Good episode from what I could understand!

Surprised that diend received more focus than blade trio. Was thinking this is the episode about how blade internal fighting parallel with zio.

You mean Blade quartet?

I think you're a little bit harsh. This is the first episode in the Blade arc after all, you don't want your primary guest actors to give their all in what is just an introduction episode.

Diend was quite dominant here. The way they executed this is like decade. It's just teasing without fruition like decade as the bus driver/watcher. I wanted to see the parallel between blade and zio. It would make more sense if geiz and zio becomes fruends again during this arc rather than the another zio arc. 4 episodes of teasing while pushing another zio as a cast away sub plot character. It was another wasted potential. I get the writers are limited to trinity and later ginga, but it's just sloppy writing. Zio, geiz, and tsuki reset back to status quo while geiz seems to have more faith in sougo now. Tsuki turns out wasnt hyponotized, brainwashed, or swap out by another. She really did want geiz to possibly "kill" sougo before the swartz'stwist.

Shinobi and ryuki time are out today as well. More of a rogue special length /small v cinema movie divided in to 3 parts each,

It seems like they're more interested in pushing the Blade mythology here rather than any character parallels. Blade is being forced to face Chalice and White Woz is trying to trigger the end of the world, with the monolith even appearing next week after Another Blade somehow power ups. I don't see how you could draw a parallel between Blade and Chalice with Zi-O and Geiz anyway. During the series it could work, but afterwards both Blade and Chalice are entities who could potentially lead the world to destruction, so they're both Zi-O with no Geiz around.

And Another Zi-O will return. His Watch wasn't destroyed and his actor didn't get flowers.

I mentioned about awkward moment his watch reform. Anyway, the flip flop friends and enemies along with time travel inconsistencies trigger me more than my theories never coming to fruition. Honestly, I rather see zio vs geiz fight at the end of this episode. They're destiny to fight like blade and chalice. It would be nice if they both figure a way to defy faith.

There's no "destined" to fight here though. That is all actually left behind now after the last arc. They're even fusing into a single Rider next week.

Another stellar episode!

Tons of fun with the interactions between Woz and Geiz. Interesting to learn that Woz was originally a spy who defected to Oma Zi-O's side as well. The fight scenes were very creative and it was good to see an organic reason for both Geiz and Sougo not to default to their super forms. The scene where they reach for the RideWatches only to pull out blank air and the following reaction was hilarious! Plus, seeing Diend transform again was a pleasure, along with his original powers of summoning Rider's to his side. Knight and Baron were a good combination, but it was a treat to see Accel and Birth use some of their special moves with the effects intact.

And of course, Kaitou is as sly as ever as he steals the RideWatches. It's cool to see him in cahoots with White Woz and I hope he'll interact with Tsukasa at some point. I laughed hard when I saw he had a "Neo-Invisible" card.

The Blade part of the tribute was minuscule in comparison but nostalgic on its own too. Seeing the original building and interior for Jacaranda and the photos of Amane and Hajime took me back. The scene where she quietly cleans the table after being told to forget about him is full of emotion. Her being Another Blade makes for an interesting conflict, and it's super cool that the story is now continuing the events of the original show rather than erasing it. Seeing Hajime and Kenzaki turning into Chalice and Blade respectively was awesome and I'm interested to see how they resolve the Joker plotline.

Zi-O Trinity is looking hilarious.

Very surprised by how well they managed to balance all three things going on in this episode -- Blade, Diend and Geiz/Woz all got their chance to shine and I came away with a good impression of what's going on with each one.

Was also pretty surprised to see the Ryuki watch in their little count. Rider Time Ryuki must have taken place before this then; I wonder when exactly?
(I'll also admit it slightly annoyed me that the rest of the Ridewatches were in chronological order... except for Ryuki being after Faiz. Aaaagh!)

Unless the special ends up implying otherwise, I'm going to assume literally right between the last episode and this one.

Time for Sougo and Geiz to pay their respects to one of the earliest and still one of the best frenemy Rider duos. I mean, who even gives two craps about the Day of Oma when Blade and Chalice are back onscreen together? Sougo's life might as well be daycare compared to how dramatic Kenzaki's is. Hajime wasn't even the only rival character in that show!

I'm running the risk of getting off-topic now, though. This was a reliably solid episode of Zi-O. Once again they go a little crazy and still manage to make it work, too, considering this Blade-themed episode also had Diend thrown in the mix. Everything is balanced out well and on top of all of that, we also get the first solid bit of backstory for Woz in the whole series.

I see lots of people spend time wondering what Ridewatches are, but frankly the thing about this show's setting that's always had me most concerned is what exactly Oma Zi-O did on a regular day. Like, why does Woz want this guy to exist so bad? I still don't know, but having his beef with Geiz given an explanation finally gives me some hope that by the end of the show, we might actually figure that out.

Of course, at this exact moment, I'm mostly just concerned about how they're going to pay off all the Blade stuff next episode.

Can't believe Geiz didn't scream "Why have you betrayed us?" at Woz in the flashback/forwards, in the Blade focused episode of all places.

Overall, pretty solid stuff. Seeing Diend back, being his usual troll self is nice, and while I could never get that far into Blade, the stuff I do understand is nice to see. Plus, I'm a sucker for old Rider suits being used not just in huge crowd scenes, so Baron and Birth in one episode? Sign me up.

Pretty sure both the Chalice and Blade suits have been repaired so much at this point the original costumes might not be there anymore.
Though the materials are not exactly built to last for the most part so that is understandable.

Utterly loving Diend back, we know he and Tsukasa need to smack the other around again, Diend did go a bit crazy last time he was about anyways.

Can we talk about how god damn evil it is to turn Amane of all characters into a Another ? Cause that is pretty messed up.

I have to agree. That was pretty rough because it's not one of the characters you would expect.

The episode was a little all over the place at times because we're mixing multiple rider tales into the whole thing. But seeing Accel and Birth? Totally made my day.

It's honestly kind of tragic seeing the old suits be so roughed up by time, you can see it with Ryuki's shoulder pads falling apart too.

Amane may have been the worst character in Blade imo but she didn't deserve this. Also holy hell the close up on A-Blade's eyes were terrifying
