Power Rangers Beast Morphers Episode 8- "The CyberGate Opens!" Discussion
Scrozzle executes his plan to finally free Evox from the Cyber Dimension and the Beast Morphers Rangers, along with an unexpected friend, must do everything in their power to stop him.

Finally! Beet J. Stag is a part of P. R. Canon!
This had some issues, but they're excusable given the trade-off. |
I'm sure there will be complaints about Steel's personality, but I love it! The team doesn't really have an 'arrogant' member, so I feel like he can balance it out. IT also doesn't seem like it'll be too detrimental to battle so I feel like the personality will just be kinda funny to watch.
Nate was honestly the best choice as the gold Ranger; having someone randomly show up and gain powers usually feels weird whenever I see it (unless they've already had their powers) so this feels nice. I really do enjoy the smaller cast of the show, I feel like it allows more focus on all of the characters rather than mainly red with some focus episodes on others. I know Nate was excited about Steel sharing his DNA but I'm not gonna lie, that seemed kinda sad when he was like "I finally have my own brother!" like imagine the closest thing to a brother you have is a robot you bonded your DNA with while trying to stop cyber villains from destroying the world? Idk but at least he's happy It's a fine episode but certainly better than past 6th Ranger introductions. Sucks that we're going on hiatus now, but it was still an enjoyable episode! |
Pretty good episode, although Steel’s voice could get annoying quickly. And are they trying to pass off a Rhinoceros Beetle for a MANTIS?! WTF.

At least it was an original idea and they tried. |
how can you guys forget the legendary passing off a t-rex as a shark, and it actually kind of working
|
Power Rangers... where a chicken becomes a falcon. How? We don't know, must be some next level biology stuff. :lolol
|
The T-Rex / Shark one kind of worked because it didn't really look like either. This is an odd case; I assume most of the time they do it because they don't think the original animal will be 'cool' enough, or kids won't know what it is (not that I really agree with that in any case), this is particularly odd; is mantis and scarab really easier than just two beetles?
That aside, a fun episode. I like Nate and Steel does fill a personality niche the team certainly doesn't have already |

Steel, the P. R. version of Beet J. Stag, is voiced by Jamie Linehan, who did some monsters in Ninja Steel (ha, ha) and Super Ninja Steel, including Brax, has technically played a Ranger before: the dub voice of AbaRed in the Dino Thunder episode "Lost & Found in Translation"!
