Man... It's sad to see Tsukasa gets intentionally "nerfed" in series he is present on.
Though Daiki... that's just dirty power-up for him man... give Tsukasa some nasty power-up too. Else, this episode was plagued by Zi-O X Geitz bromance... xD |
Not a fan how they drag out tsuki's plot and tsukasa stretched useless background appearances wirhout explanation. The best was the action last week. Wish they could of went for more diend second riders army summoning. Did they really need to end on a cliffhanger feature last week preview? It's not even a new form debut. It's like the writer only have one major plot twist unlike build, drive ,or gaim and he's saving it up by strip teasing you. Schwartz blurry face twice in 2009/2058 then sibling cliche exposé to audience and now we have him reveal it to tsuki possible the rest of the cast next week.

As far as plot development goes, Zi-O has been giving more info throughout the entire series, the issue is that this seems to be closer to Agito or Ryuki, where we get these mysteries teased throughout the entire show with the answers only coming near the end rather than Build or Ex-Aid with constant villain shake ups and reveals. The Tsukuyomi stuff was pretty much revealed already weeks ago though, with a scene of Swartz talking to himself, this was just a reveal to Tsukuyomi. Apparently according to the summary for next week we're actually getting their backstory there though. |
So it really seems like Swartz will be the big bad huh? I guess it makes sense.
As far as Decade not being as strong here than in his own series, I get it that it is not his series and he's more of a guest rider. But I still like him here. And that scene where Another Build tried to hurdle some crates but failed, I wonder if that was on purpose or was it a blooper that they rolled with? |
Well....I'll wait until next week before judging this arc, I don't see Decade as less powerful as he actually his, but Grand Zi-O is basically Decade and Di-End coupled on steroids. I find that cool that Sougo wasn't able to use Grand.
Still....this episode bothered me... Also...I don't think that Kaito will keep his time stopping ability, this here, was probably just to prove who was the true mastermind all along. |
Given how far we are in, this seems like a lot of plot misdirection. For one, Woz is really holding things close to the vest. Tsukasa seems less sure than last episode about how things are turning out, otherwise he wouldn't have stepped in. I have to wonder if Diend showing up made that necessary. Actually, my favorite part of the episode was his heist from Another Zi-O II, he doesn't actually need timejacker abilities. Plus, proof again that both Decade and Diend keep getting new riders with each iteration, and the use of Spectre and Brave were a very nice touch to take on A. Ghost and A. Ex-Aid.
Eh, it's a magenta thing. Is it wrong that I could care less about Tsukuyomi's back story? She's just not interesting enough to warrant continuing the arc, because Swartz seems to just be on the same power kick we all assumed back in episode 2. I do feel like Hora and Uhr are eventually going to just gang up on him. Power levels really REALLY don't matter in Zi-O's world. But thats partly because it would take too long to literally go through countless combinations of Armor Times. And Sougo's inability to use Grand was actually a good thing. I really dislike it when a power up becomes an instant fix for an episode arc, even though next week it'll be back. |
All I can add is that this series is a COMPLETE Clusterf*ck of a show. But I got my ONORE Decade-o back, and Decade makes a series better by sheer force of his actor...my opinion...DH2!

Voidin, please, try to put some space in your wall of text if you can ><
It's a bit painful to read... Concerning Oma, I just hope that he really is Sougo turning bad, him being another character would be a letdown. |
Hey everyone, guess what time it is!
https://i.imgur.com/1SLm62c.jpg Wait, hold up Woz! I thought you said the history of Sougo becoming Oma Zi-O had disappeared from your book. Were you just lying about that? And why does your book play videos? I get that it's from the future, but like, is it a book or not? I mean, have we ever actually seen the inside of this thing before? Because I never would've interpreted those shots in the opening as being completely literal. Is this thing going to get set on fire by the end of the show, too? You know what? Never mind. It's not time for asking all these questions, I have the entire rest of the episode to talk about. My feelings on this one are unfortunately not too different from last time. It's a perfectly solid episode, but it left me with a nagging feeling it needed more going on. What bugged me this time was how the show spends any significant amount of time focusing on Geiz's feelings in all of this. He's essentially a completely different character right now, and taking time to give him internal monologues serves no purpose unless it puts his "correct" version's development into perspective in some clever way, which I don't quite think it did here. The scene where Sougo reflects on their relationship is a little more along the lines of what I want to see, but at the end of the day it's only one scene and I'm such a sucker for Sougo and Geiz's bromance any praise I can give it loses a lot of the impact. One of the things I always praise Zi-O for is how tight I feel the writing is when it comes to making every scene a meaningful part of the story, but unfortunately this is another arc like back with Quiz where things feel notably thinner than usual to me, and maybe even a bit sluggish. One thing I particularly would've loved to see was more emphasis on Hiryuu's role. There was talk in the last episode's thread about him being underdeveloped, and while my instinct was to disagree with that, thinking about it, there's definitely a lot of room to further flesh him out that isn't being taken advantage of here. He comes off to me like he's almost brainwashed or something, but once I realized that plot point only exists in my imagination, I got kind of disappointed. So yeah, I'm still not totally feeling this arc, but hey, they've got one more episode to tie it all together, and it's not like there wasn't tons of stuff here I liked. Sougo having the Grand Zi-O Ridewatch stolen was especially great. Limiting the use powerups like that get is important to keep the tension up, and this is a good way to go about it. |
Pretty decent episode. We get some good Sougo and new-world Geiz interaction and Schwarz finally reveals that Tsukuyomi is his younger sister.
Best part of the episode were the Decade moments. Tsukasa chewing the scenery during the dining room scene (seriously, what what he doing lol) and his badass entrance with the handgun to save Tsukuyomi. Plus, we get his signature line and a transformation into Decade again after all this time (and the return of the magenta joke lol). Kaito plays a big role too. Good to see Diend again and summoning both Specter and Brave was super cool. Interesting that he gains the power of the Time Jacker's himself. Hopefully he remains a prominent villain figure throughout the final episodes of the show. |
