This is quite a popular one over at TFW, so I thought I'd give it a try over here. For those who aren't familiar, its just a place to share thoughts that might be considered against the grain or unpopular by most fans.

I'll get the ball rolling with a few of mine;

* I like Kat far more than Kimberly
* Tommy as the Green Ranger was pretty rubbish when he wasn't evil
* Ninjor's voice is awesome :lol

*Tensou Sentai Goseiger is better than Gokaiger and deserves a full run, not just the half it's getting.
*Ninja Force is the absolute worst season of Power Rangers.
*I to enjoyed Kat more than Kimberly
*I hate Dino Force only because Tommy was stuck in his suit for half the season.
*Kamen Rider Dragon Knight is watchable.

Decade sucked.
Gokaiger sucked more.
I think OOO is superior to Double.
I liked Ninjor's voice :lol

That's one for the side of justice!

I'm considering giving Goseiger another chance after seeing the rampant praise Gokaiger got...

I would highly recommend this.

-Kagami was the best thing about Kabuto
-Tendou was the worst thing about Kabuto
-Chiaki was the best character in Shinkenger
-Pink Sentai Characters are the least interesting

I would argue Tommy was pretty rubbish in his entirety, and he only seemed awesome because the concept of an evil Ranger, regardless of who that Ranger was, was pretty awesome as a kid. Other than that, he was pretty much Jason 2.0.

Really? Those are unpopular opinions? They all seem to be right on the money for me (I still maintain, to this day, Kagami should have been the main focus on Kabuto).

Maybe, but it strikes me especially with the Green Ranger period because half the time he's showing up late and doing very little because of the Zyuranger footage limitations, and the other half he's being crap because his powers are weak. The best moments where he was the Green Ranger were the times he either wasn't morphed or had completely lost his powers altogether.

It's the problem of trying to adapt multiple Sentais, which were never meant to be combined and compared, into one continuity. I mean did anyone ever look at Tommy before Turbo and think "Oh yeah, I can totally see him as a race-car driver".

But yeah, Tommy was kind of crap as the Green Ranger. They could have saved it by making Tommy a more interesting character, but as I said he really just boiled down to a Jason clone. Not that any of the original MMPR cast were overly interesting (Billy and Kimberly only really got interesting because they were on the show for so long).

-kabuto is the worst show in existence!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!

-ooo is awesome and the best rider show
-i kinda wanna see kamen rider poseidon series for the 80th anniversary
-i love decade and its my second favorite rider show

*The Dairangers are boring characters. Except the kid, who's annoying.
*Decade is the single worst Rider ever.
*Akibaranger is overrated.
*Dragon Knight is better than Ryuki.

Okay, let's see...

- Kamen Rider Hibiki, on the strength of its first 29 episodes alone, is the best Heisei era Rider series.
- Decade is nowhere near as bad as most people make it out to be.
- I will still happily watch any new Den-O movie.
- The classic MMPR Megazord/Daizyujin cockpit loses a lot of cool points now that I know it was just a quick repaint of the Jet Icarus cockpit from Jetman.
- Showa Kamen Rider is every bit as fun and enjoyable to watch as Heisei.
- Except for Black RX.
- SIC Kiwami Tamashiis are way more fun action figures than SH Figuarts.

I know, it bugs me every time I watch Jetman :lol

i think this thread would be alot better if people justified there answers. ill start, ooo is awesome and best because everyone is needed, every part is epic, even stupid slapstick leads up to sumthing, and must we forget..... ANKH!!!

Okay.

- Hibiki is great because it has so many fantastically deep and complex characters, an engaging coming of age storyline, fantastic outdoor locations, and some beautiful cinematography.

- Decade gets a lot of hate because of the ending, but that shouldn't negate the fact that, up until that point, it was a really fun show and it was really cool to see all of those old Rider suits and concepts brought back with some different twists.

- Den-O is fun. I love the Taros, I love Owner, I love Rina Akiyama in latex, and I'm always up for more wacky hijinks. It does suck that they've lost some of the actual Rider actors, but Kotaro has proven to be a pretty decent replacement protagonist.

- The Daizyujin cockpit set is great. I loved it as a kid watching MMPR and I think it still holds up today as one of the best mech cockpits ever. It is such a bummer to realize that it's just the same set from Jetman with some red paint and dinosaur stickers. It just comes off as really lazy on Toei's part.

- A decent segment of the toku fanbase has problems with the older shows. The stories are more basic, there's little in the way of ongoing plot arcs, the special effects and costumes are much more simplistic, etc. I love all of that stuff, though, and I still enjoy the highly episodic, monster of the week, scientists and/or kids in peril format of classic Kamen Rider. In a lot of ways, they do some way more inventive stuff than the modern shows.

- Black RX is... well, I hesitate to say "terrible," but it's not very good. It picks up sometime after the end of Black but manages to somehow completely ruin everything it inherited from that show. Kotaro is noticeably different, the tone is much lighter and sillier, and outside of some great monster designs it just doesn't feel like anything in it comes close to the standard set by Black.

- Figuarts are awesome, they really are. They're easily the coolest action figures I've ever owned. That said, there's just something so much more satisfying in the smaller Kiwami Tamashiis that attracts me more to that line. I think a lot of it is play value - the more recent figures have started adding in some cool extra features that the Figuarts don't have, like Kaixa's transforming Kaixa Pointer or Agito Trinity's weapons with the fold out parts. They do things that Figuarts would accomplish by adding extra accessories and I find that adds a lot of play value. Plus we're getting some really fun vehicles in the line now and they're all way the hell cheaper. I guess I just find the KT line to by more bang for my buck than the average Figuart.

*Kamen Rider can never do anything wrong (except for a few hiccups here and there).
*Kamen Rider Decade is one of the best Rider series out there.
*Decade himself is likeable.
*Kamen Rider W is the best series ever.
*Weather sucks.
*Kamen Rider Wizard would have been better if he was a magical painter instead of a wizard, as was an original theory.
*Power Rangers Mystic Force isn't that bad.

And, just for the heck of it:

*I'm Batman.

ya i guess it was a little stupid, i remember i had a reason to say it but know im just at a loss y i did it, as stewie griffin once said "well i feel silly"

I might as well throw in some Super Sentai ones now that everyone else has I guess...

* Dairanger is overrated. Its not awful by any stretch, but its not the godly series people make it out to be.
* On the other hand, Goseiger is not as bad as people make out. It has cast and story problems, but the aesthetic/mecha are absolutely gorgeous and Brajira is one of Sentai's best villains.
* Sun Vulcan is pretty damn awful.

i like spd more than dekaranger, though im not sureif im the minority or not

Not sure how I should reply... *currently wearing my Double Fedora and my OOO Driver lol* But yeah in all seriousness, OOO is my top rider (look at the screen name! XD), Double is second and Den-O is third, mostly due to the fact that the characters differ personality wise.

• I liked Yuseless in Decade, but mostly for the fact that he was the butt monkey of the series
• DiEnd was a competent fighter, without his summoned riders.
• The only tolerable PR series that Disney did was Dino Thunder

Because Mystic Force is usually - and unfairly - ranked as one of the worst seasons ever. Personally, I think it was a highly problematic season, but it had several redeeming qualities. Chief among them was the tough, badass, Ranger-most-likely-to-be-a-Suicide-Girl Pink Ranger.
