Possible SS Ankh being developed?
 

According to Figsoku.net, in an interview at Tamashii (here), one of the SS designers (whose name is inconsistent in machine translations) states this:

It's being taken as a fact by Figsoku that Ankh is coming, but without more proof it could just be blue sky stuff.

Who's ankh ?

The designer is saying that they're working on both the arm and human forms of Ankh, so taking it as fact seems fair enough. Looking forward to it if it comes to fruition, Ankh is definitely one of those characters that I thought was an absolute must when they started doing Figuarts for the face actors. (Too bad it'll still probably just be a web exclusive whenever)

Yeah, it's easy to take it as fact that the figure is being developed, but they seem convinced the figure will be released, which is not always the case with Bandai. I'm still waiting for SS Diend.

Wasn't Diend just something that was shown at a show, though? I don't recall any statement about making him.

They've previewed quite a number of figures over the years at shows without specific release info that have come to market. And they've shown plenty that have never been released.

Yeah, that's what I mean. There are plenty examples of things like Diend, but I don't think we've gotten something like this before.

Not a fan of Figuarts' 3D faces as there are too many digital artifacts. I hope SS does it better. Give me SS Ankh Greeed though and I'll buy that so fast.

In this case there's nothing to cancel. He stated they were working on the figure. That's all. It's the news outlet that's said it's definitely being released.

I agree with Figuarts being too much digital traces up close. But honestly Ankh is more known in his human form than Greeed form. It'll be like if they make SHF Evol alien form first than either Blood Stark/Kamen Rider Evol.

Same basic info, really. Same interview. I'm just not getting my hopes up until there's clear confirmation. And it's his human form.

I mean.. have they posted a teaser on the blog that didn't get released? IIRC, all the blog teasers I've seen have ended up getting releases.

I'm amazed we never even got shown Ghost Mugen never mind released. Like they didn't even bother making a showfloor-exclusive figure, they dropped Ghost so hard.

Probably because the Ghost Figuarts got bad reviews. I highly doubt Bandai cares about releasing figures simply to finish people's collections; just releasing ones that will bring maximum profit. They're just playing it safe.

This custom Ghost figuarts is really amazing. And Ghost Mugen Damashii is one of best final form in my opinion :D

I hope not. That would be insane for a popular Figuart line to have the final form Nations Exclusive. It has to be webshop exclusive soon the line is just about done.
