New forms/keys- "Biting Shark" and "Punching Kong."

Not really fond of the way the way the monsters of the week look. They're a bit samey, and kind of simple looking

I kinda hate how every form change of Zero-One is slapped onto the yellow base form, the colors combinations are terrible looking.

If they'd completely remove the yellow in favor of each forms main color it would look a lot better IMO.

Also, I don’t know how the driver works exactly, but you can't insert two keys at the same time, right? With Ex-Aid it makes sense that the armor was worn on top of the base suit as both Gashats were used together, but I don’t see the same thing working with the Zero-One belt.

Or do you get special sounds when you use another key after the hopper one?

It's not great.

I think how it works is that once he transforms into Rising Hopper, the driver opens, revealing the big ring in the middle. It looks like it's still open - so still in the same mode - when the second ProgRise key is scanned by the Driver before being inserted in its slot.

Of course, this logic would fall apart completely if he ever transforms directly into one of the forms other than Rising Hopper. In an ideal world with an unlimited budget, I'm guessing if he turned into Flying Falcon first, then scanned Rising Hopper, the fuchsia would sit behind the yellow/green. As it is, I suspect the show's creators will fudge it.

God Biting Shark looks great. All the forms are lovely looking. Really big fan of the Kaijin too. I don't know how to do quotes so I'll explain this.

He scans the key, folds it out, puts it in. To change forms, take out the first key so repeat process with new one.

I definitely agree. So far, with the exception of the look of the Driver, the aesthetic of the show is doing nothing for me.

Rising Hopper is a great looking base suit IMO, but the rest is definitely average at best. The form changes are ugly, Vulcan and Valkyirie are meh (I think it's the plain design of the helmets which don’t sit well with me) and everything else I've seen from the trailers isn’t that hot either.

I'm glad Zi-O is over because that didn’t do much for me either, but Zero-One really needs to step up in the story and character department for me to care. Because neither the suits nor the gimmicks are all that great so far.

But hey, the first episode isn't even out, it takes time to properly form an opinion; I need to see this stuff in the context of its narrative first.

I think this show is taking a page from Build on how the form changes originated from defeated monsters. Love the Tiger one.

Looking at these more closely, I don't like the triple layered look of Valkyire and Vulcan's helmets.

It also doesn't help that the masks look really plain. Look at all the nice red panel lining on Punching Kong's helmet as it suddenly stops and gets replaced by... just a boring white surface and blue eyes. For me it creates this nagging feeling like there's a more interesting face design hiding underneath the mask.

That doesn't appear to be the case, since so far there is no overlap between the animals the Progrise Keys and Zetsumerise Keys are based on. Also Zero-One's company is the one that makes the keys so I don't think it'd make sense if he had to rely on the villain's stuff to get form changes.

Squid was a little harder to track down but I THINK Neoteuthidae is the closest i could find to Neohi https://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Neoteuthidae.

I must say I enjoy the departure from the usual. They could of gone with the tried and True working model of "Bat Magear" or even gone with some Japanese "Kumori Magear" Instead they embraced the science angle. Oniko Magear is much less obvious as to where the name comes from, but it still sounds cool.

So it looks like Zero-One's first 3 forms are a sun vulcan homage maybe, red bird, blue shark, large cat (albeit not a yellow one)

I not liking anything about Zero one so far. The monsters and riders suit are plain and some riders have many layers which looks crappy.

IDK I have a feeling this show won't be that great from what I seeing from the pics everything looks lazy.

With Zi-O being a big popular show with all the others riders that were guess I think this show will have a hard time being popular. Heck I even say it could wind up like ghost since there not to much you can get out of a rider show coping ironman.

Was Zi-O popular? I remember in particular the first part of Genm/OOO having the worst ratings of any Rider episode ever.

Its toyline sold very well, though how much that can be said to reflect on the show is kinda dubious, since most toys were based on older series there was a built-in audience for them even outside Zi-O's context.

I don't think it did particularly well in ratings (read recently that episode 48 was again like the lowest rated episode ever, though I didn't make any effort to confirm that one way or the other) but I'm pretty sure just about every recent show has set that kind of record regardless. Ratings aren't everything and it feels like this go around in particular they were really pushing TTFC more with the shorts and stuff, so who knows how much of an audience there is in streaming now vs. TV.

Social media engagement seems solid, movies didn't underperform or anything (think Forever did really well though that's also got Build and Den-O money going into it). So who knows. Popular enough I guess?

I hope Zero-One have Wolf Form, Cheetah Form, Gorilla Form, and Hornet Form in Ganbarizing Game....

I also really want Vulcan and Valkyrie have Grasshopper Form, Falcon Form, Shark Form, Tiger Form, and Polar Bear Form in Ganbarizing Game..

TBF, they just came off of a big anniversary show, where they had tons of guest actors, so there's bound to be some budget savings in areas.

I actually like half of the aesthetic for the show, Zero-Ones base suit is ok, his additional forms I'm not a big fan of though, clash too much with the green.

Vulcan looks nice, but right now the best design is Valkyrie for me. I just like her suit.

The monster I actually like quite a bit, they have a very uniform look to them and someone else compared them to Riders and I can totally see that. I wonder if we get a HumanGear Rider, if we don't already have one, if he/she doesn't look similare to our monsters.

HumaGear Rider will be really interestinng. I think this will be similar to Chase from Kamen Rider Drive......

I was already loving how Lightning Hornet was looking, but after seeing Vulcan's not-Sagohzo as a template for how the Shotrider alternate forms will look? I am now SUPER looking forward to this suit.

Insect theme works best with Kamen Rider.

I wish this was her base suit honestly; I like it much better than the Cheetah-one.

Interesting that wolf and cheetah are half of the body vertically, whereas gorilla and maybe hornet, are half of the body, horizontally. I wonder if they're going to reference that in the show, or if it's just a design choice.

Considering how many we've seen, it seems like we'll get one of them every week, which is probably why we're getting simpler designs. We still will get more relevant characters with more complex designs though(2 evil Riders in the first quarter), and I wouldn't be surprised if there are stronger monster types with more complex designs introduced later, especially with Zero One getting two upgrades just in the first quarter.

Wonder if we'll get a new rider system in Zero-One after the first Driver? There's Zero-One Driver for one. I mean for a new one at 2nd quarter.

we already have 3 different henshin devices so it would maybe be too much. But who knows? Merchandizing power is big.

Somehow I see Izu becoming a rider of some sort at some point. Might be far fetched but I feel like they give her that green color "identity" kinda for that (we have no green rider as a base form in the show yet). she would have been quite recognizable even without the green. So im wondering.

I know I'm late to this, but as far as Zero One alternate forms go, I like them. I get that the use of the neon green on the other forms can be off putting to some, but I really how the original armor on Zero One shifts to new areas in his other forms, like how the antennas on Zero One's base form become side wing pieces on Flying Falcon or how they point downwards on Biting Shark. It makes it look more creative instead of just having new armor pieces slapped on top the base form.
