I got the gist of the story without any subs, but details are required to flesh out the scene of Izu putting the HumaGears to sleep, and the executive room exchange
|
Subs are already posted in some toku groups on FB.

nothing special about this episode. It's good like the previous ones. It's just the 2nd part of last week so nothing very important is learned.
We'll probably go into the Yua and ZAIA part of the story now and Thouser debut next month-ish. fun fact : the old guy with a hat in wheelchair that you can see in the hospital scenes was in the public of the comedy show in Ep1 ^^ |
Wasn't really a fan of the Breaking Mammoth vs Giger fight. I much prefer ground fights.
Anyway a good episode again. Questions of whether humagears would be good when they reach singularity and Izu trying to make sense of it all were great. Aruto feeling a moment of conflict felt natural too. Yua seems to be playing a dual role. She helps Zero-One but at the same time is trying to oppose him. I'm sure its related to Thouser somehow. And Fuwa seems open to the possibility that humagears could do good. At least there's growth in that area. |
I wouldn't even call breaking mammoth a form change, that's a full-on mecha, even more so the time mazin
|
I loved all the plot in that episode, up til now it seemed like all the main characters were pretty set in where they stood on the "are Humagears good or bad?" issue, but here it seemed like all of them started to really wrestle with the question. I'm especially looking forward to seeing what path Izu ends up taking.
I feel like this episode also shows just how much of a hypocrite Horobi is. All that talk about Humagears parting ways and not being humanity's slaves, when MJ.net is the one hacking them and forcing them to do things they don't want to. I wonder if he really believes his own rhetoric or is just saying it to play mind games on the heroes. My one complaint is that Breaking Mammoth is too big to be used against normal Magia without either being boringly overpowered if it easily crushes them, or making Aruto look like a loser if it doesn't. So the writers will have to either bring in more giant monsters, or leave the Breaking Mammoth to be only rarely used. But that's just my usual objection to mecha in Kamen Rider I guess. The design itself is pretty cool. |
Maybe Breaking Mammoth will be limited by fuels or the need to be actual satellite that monitor Hiden HumaGears
And why ZAIA Giger and Hiden Satellite have similar, mammoth like designs? |

For some reason I get the feeling Thouser will kill Yua.

the thing is, even if it doesn't prove anything, we know Yua isn't getting anything from all the catalogues leaks we know so far.
Could just be because female + rider isn't the most popular in terms of toy, but it could also be it. That said, it would be ballzy to kill a "main" female rider after so many time people wanting one. I'm going to pray a lot. |
I think it’s Jin that’s dying soon, to be honest.
Dude doesn’t have a single unique toy - everything is used by someone else that is more promoted with it. - Flying Falcon was sold as Zero-One’s Progrise Key, not Jin’s. - The Force Riser has more in common with Horobi’s colour scheme and comes with his Progrise Key - exactly like the situation with Isamu, Yua, and the ShotRiser, - The Attaché Arrow is coloured for Horobi, not Jin. Now, there is the recent leak that mentions ‘Burning Falcon’ for Jin...but we’ve not had anything confirming or denying that leak as true. So if it isn’t, not one non-figure toy is specifically for Jin. Even though Yua’s primary Progrise Key is packaged with something not specifically hers, Lightning Hornet is still sold alone. Having said that, if the leak is true, then I agree that Yua is the most likely to die, although yeah, it is very likely to just be that she’s a girl D: |

I just saw a Mech do a Rider Kick.
..didn't even know that was on my bucket list but oddly I now feel as if I can die happy. |

It's too bad, honestly, we need human female characters to bounce off Izu, like the Build girls bouncing off each other, or Ex-Aid's girls bouncing each other. |
Really wish we could go one episode without people going 'the female rider is obviously going to die'. I mean yeah I'm afraid of it happening too, but I don't think it needs to be brought up even more regularly than 'Aruto is totally a robot/cyborg'!

So the end of the episode Izu find out that Yua recording the assasin's transformation. That reminds me that the assasin was cought by A.I.M.S and at that time his eyes were red. In the recording the assasin's eyes were blue. Is that means A.I.M.S did something to him or was it Yua's doing?
Edit : Okay nevermind I rewatch episode 7 again and I forgot that Yua did reprogram the assasin lol |
As long as best girl Izu is safe then I am happy.

So...Is this the episode discussion post or let us talk about everything in the future and toy guides section ? :/
Not speculation discussion mind you, but actively talking about the toy guides and contracts is a bit spoilery I feel. |

It's the same writer as Ex-Aid (Yuya Takahashi), so I won't be surprised if at least one Rider dies, but I will be surprised if any main characters stay dead. I mean, I'm just speculating at this point, but we know Humagears can be restored from a backup, the voice actress in ep #6 showed they can be made in the image of a person (specifically a dead person), and even though Izu shot him down the chef in ep #3 raised the idea of a heart being digitized. If the writer wants to kill off a human and revive them as a Humagear, he's already laying solid groundwork for it.
|
Not to mention that HumaGears can actually grow consciousness as shown since episode 1.
That's why we need to see the back story of Horobi, to see why he ends up having conclusion that humanity is bad. Maybe he was abused once he reached consciousness. He it's UK "Human" once again. |

Anyway speaking of Horobi, I thought it was interesting that the exposed mechanics where his 'ears' were missing was jagged and torn, while for Jin it was smooth and clean. I assume it's because Jin was intentionally built without the outer structure but Horobi had his ripped off somehow? |

When the Seiyu Humagear had hers damaged she was spazzing out. |
Put me in the camp of "Yua might die, but they'll likely bring her back later as a Humagear".
Hell, they might even find a way to backup human consciousness as data to be put into an android body, similar to what happened in Ex-Aid with Genm. |

So if that does mean nothing then at least it shows they might already have the technology to transfer consciousness. |

Pretty good episode again, Horobi and Jin's part was brief but it was cool to see Amazing Hercules used with the Attache Arrow. Loved the character development on Yua's part, we definitely got to see a more human side to her that isn't just cold and calculating. She was actually worried about Fuwa's condition and wanted to take responsibility for the terrorists taking Zaia's tech. And I love the dilemma this episode. Power down the Humagears in the hospital to minimise the risk of a terrorist attack, but lose valuable working hands. Or, keep the doctor and nurse Humagears online and risk mass slaughter by MetsubouJinrai. It's a difficult problem and handled realistically. Plus the nation seems to be more aware of Humagear hackings thanks to the news segments they showed, so the show is really starting to up the stakes.
Breaking Mammoth looked pretty cool, the CGI ranged from awful to pretty good, but its design looks great and the finisher was really dope. The conflict was really heightened by the multiple internal struggles going on. Aruto wondering what to do as a CEO. Izu being conflicted about the role of Humagears. Yua losing her cool. The doctor Humagear going against the hacking to keep his original programming. Really good episode. Closing words, Izu drift was great. Comedy at the end between Fuwa and Aruto was funny. Izu seems to be catching onto Yua's spying and I'm excited to see where this goes next. |
