Into the Spiderverse 2 announced for 2022
2 Attachment(s)
Sony announced the sequel to Into the Spiderverse with a short teaser video. The video shows Miles Morales' spider symbol switching between various styles, representing various alternate realities. These designs seem very deliberate, and likely indicate which Spideys might be showing up. While almost all of them are a mystery right now, one has very likely already been figured out.

Oh hell yes
|
Uh, does that mean that the Toei Spider-Man is going to be included, which cannot be done without Leopardon, which means EVERYONE will be talking about the giant cat-bot in the movie, which gives reason to make a new toy Leopardon to accommodate an animated appearance!
Unless I'm an idiot who is reading way too much into this! |
I ended up watching the first episode of Toku Spiderman because of this.
It is so terribly paced. The exposition as expected of showa is given by a narrator rather than delivered naturally or visually. Establishing shots are a myth. I loved it. |

Marvel only kept a few clips on their site! |
I remember reading that he would be included if the film made 200 mil domestic. I guess it did :lol

They may very well have a design for the Toei Spider-Man!
https://comicbook.com/anime/2019/11/...se-supaidaman/ Now all we need is a physical copy of that series to complement this news! |
Still wondering which Spider-Heroes will appear in 2?
Fan video seems to have a pretty good idea, and if the assumptions are true, I hope they have some incredible figures to boot when the time is right! https://comicbook.com/marvel/2019/11...ters-involved/ |

A crossover between Sun Vulcan and Denziman was considered, but one reason or another kept it from happening. While on the subject, who would have the greater likelihood of adapting those two teams, Marvel or Hasbro? The Marvel copyright on Battle Fever J, Denziman, and Sun Vulcan gives me hope that maybe Marvel could produce new print versions and try to capitalize on our love for Sentai, especially since they see BOOM! as a competitor and the Power Rangers comics keep on going. Just a thought. |

By the same token, wouldn't Hasbro have to in some capacity acknowledge Marvel if they were to adapt those three? And also, isn't there an Earth designation for Battle Fever within the Marvel Omniverse? Of note, Toei Spider-Man is referenced as being from Earth-51778! |

That said, Power Rangers has already done a crossover with D.C. and Justice League, so a Power Rangers/Avengers crossover is not so farfetched. It would provide the most optimum platform to incorporate Battle Fever, Denziman, and Sun Vulcan, as they could interact with both sides of the coin with no proprietary conflict! Throw in Leopardon and Toei Spider-Man as a wink and a nod, and you've got something big! |
I remember when I first met Azim Rizk five years ago at RangerStop. I asked why some pre-Zyuranger suits were used but not all. He said there were licensing issues, particularly with the ones that Marvel co-owned. I am not sure where Sun Vulcan falls into it since Marvel did not produce that season, but I guess they still own the license to adapt it that Disney is just sitting on. However the cards from Megaforce did feature VulEagle so I have no idea now that licensing is being handled or if it affects merchandise. I know he's just an actor and not a producer, but I am sure he knows more than the average fan. Hopefully Disney and Hasbro can work out a deal since they have a close partnership, and do a proper adaptation of Gokaiger in some form in the future.
