While Aruto upgrades his power to an incredible degree, Izu begins to question her purpose at Hiden Industries.

I'm gonna be honest, I never expected them to use the function of the Driver where you scan a key while there’s already one inserted. I wonder why that was done 13 episodes into the series and not like in episode 3 or something. Did the producers not know this feature or was there just no proper place to do it before?

Also, Assault Wolf next week already? Damn. I kinda hope Shining Hopper gets more screen-time but he's already holding that weird gun in the preview so Shining Assault Hopper is probably happening right after next week’s episode.

They've really been holding on to those finishers this season. He was carrying the Attache Calibur around since episode 1, but they didn't have him use its charged attack until around episode 8. I don't think they've done the Arrow one either yet, though I could be wrong. Holding off on those extra features may just be a way to stretch their ability to have cool new stuff to show off in the show, rather than frontloading all the toy advertising right off the bat.

That being said, they never ever used the belt holders until like, last episode, so I could well see them just forgetting some stuff exists too.

Perhaps its less focus on gear and more focus on characters.

or maybe budgeting wise, they need to shift some things around. This is just episode 13, and we already have non stop progressions, feels like old heisei at episode 25 or something.

Wazu with the heroic sacrifice right there! He was an excellent character. Really gave Izu a chance to shine (pun not intended) this episode. I think Izu is nearing singularity at this point.

Shining Hopper got pummeled and then showcased its stuff in the same episode! Awesome.

Aruto and Fuwa's relationship has really improved and now I'm more excited to see them teaming up. Plus Assult Wolf already next episode! Sugoi!

So Izu's data can't be backup because she is part of project Zero-one......

One thing I really like about Shining Hopper: It was beaten by the bad guy within seconds. Now, hear me out: The brand new power-up being defeated just like that is rather unique, and it makes the second impact only more special.

I also quite like the reasoning behind the initial failure: The system can't keep up or didn't realize Aruto's growth so it hadn't taken of the training wheels yet.

Plus, the visual effects they're utilizing are quite amazing too, we humans basically can’t see anything beyond the crazy fast fighting, but they added the displays the HumaGears and Riders see to fully showcase how crazy Shining Hopper’s last second strategy turns truly are.

And Wazu - I'm gonna miss him, I was hopping he’s become a recurring character. He was really great.

Awesome episode, I enjoyed it a lot. And there’s some interesting things coming now as well... Assault Wolf, plus the first name dropping of Thouser! ... Who’s pronounced "Zoza" apparently, not "Tho"-sa as in "Thousand" like I assumed up until now.

I wonder if Izu's Singularity will be endgame material.

Very strong episode as usual. Wazu is the kind of character I could see falling flat on his face for a number of reasons, but he was supremely endearing this whole time, and I won't soon forget his epic sacrifice to get Zero-One's new toy working.

Actually, for a second there, I thought that plot point was going to lead right into Assault Hopper or whatever it's called, so Aruto should be really grateful he got saved the trouble of waiting a few episodes.

Speaking of characters who I'll miss, Ansatsu-chan was great. His importance sort of came out of nowhere, but he made for a delightful villain who ended up going in quite a few different directions in a short amount of time. Whether he was an endearingly ignorant servant, a potentially conflicted apprentice to a major film star, or just a downright cold, calculating machine, he was always a delight.

If I had one thing to criticize, it'd be that I think it would've made more sense to have the cliffhanger for last episode be Dodo catching Shining Hopper's punch. Showing us that brief bit of the new form being awesome before leading right into the twist that Aruto is still screwed would've been a far, far more effective place to leave us in suspense than simply stopping after he transforms. Not that it's a big deal, but I think this two-parter would've just been that much better if they had done it that way.

No, no, you had it right the first time. Thouser is rendered in katakana as sauzaa, which is about as close as Japanese writing can get to representing a proper "th" sound.

Even if that wasn't the case, he's still definitely named after the number. I'm 1000% sure of it. ;)

Yeah, us human can produce hundreds of distinct sounds, but each language only uses some of them and not others, and it is VERY hard to learn to properly pronounce a sound not from your native language, so we normally substitute whatever sounds the most similar.

All this to say that the th sound does not exist in most Asian languages. An s or t sound depending on what other sounds are in the word, are generally the closest.

I didn't think Wazu will be gone so soon, because the case with the police isn't over yet. And Ansatsu chan destroyed as well, even though he is the culprit. Now I wonder how Aruto will deal with the police.

That Rider Kick finishing move was damned amazing!

I liked it, but personally I couldn't help thinking "I've seen this move in Naruto during the chuunin exam right ?" (uzumaki naruto rendan) which kinda toned down the greatness of it while i watch it ^^"


I didn't see Wazu sacrifice coming even though it should have been obvious. He was a "know everything" character type that would lead to a "why didn't you ask Wazu ?" type of problem in many cases if he was still around.

I knew Izu wouldn't die from the data transfer obviously, but i thought something would happen with her red-eyes+long hair form somehow since no one was around to see it.

Let's just take a moment to appreciate Izu's actress, she did an amazing job balancing the emotional weight of those scenes with Izu's mostly emotionless character. Related to that, does anyone else feel like Izu's emotionless-ness is gradually changing? Like in her expressions and voice, there's just a little bit more feeling showing than at the start of the series. I wonder if that will continue as she gets closer to Singularity.

Also it just hit me that Izu is the president's aide and Wazu was the president's aide. It's their names, get it?

Shining Hopper's proper debut was awesome, I loved how they had it lose at first and need more to be complete, instead of just being the shiny new form that solved everything. Its design has grown on me a lot too, especially with how it's like energy surging through the base suit instead of armor added on top of it. And that combat simulation power? So cool.

I wonder if that "it pushes your body beyond its limits" thing will get Aruto hurt later on... I mean, even worse than it already did. At the very least, it makes a good excuse for him to keep using other forms first and only go to Shining Hopper when the enemy proves tough enough to need it.
