What is your favorite Kamen Rider opening song?
 

Out of any opening songs from Kamen Rider (Showa, Heisei or even Reiwa), which one is your favorite.

To make this one easy, I’m only including the shows only since ZX feel like a television special than actual show while Shin, J and Zo are movies. I’m not sure if I should include Amazons since when I watch it, they didn’t have opening until I think they air Amazons on television where they including the opening song but we are talking about OFFICIAL Rider shows.

Recently I've been listening to Be The One and Alive A Life (no relation to a recent thread here) a lot, though there's few Kamen Rider OPs I don't enjoy. Special shoutout goes to the english versions of Kuuga and Build which are wonderfully charming in their own ways and I often end up going for over the originals.

I don't really have a favorite opening song...

Although I really enjoy the BGMs and OSTs made over the franchise. Time Judged All and P.A.R.T.Y. is kickass!

I haven't seen anything from before W*, but somehow Journey Through The Decade still manages to make me nostalgic, sometimes even a bit teary-eyed.

*(I do want to go back and watch from Kuuga to Decade, just haven't gotten around to it yet...)

W-B-X ~W-Boiled Extreme~ for me

If I had to rank my top ten:

1. Kamen Rider Kuuga (This is the literal perfect superhero anthem. The perfect melodramatic lyrics, the perfect slow build to the hype chorus...NO FEAR! NO PAIN! This shit makes me feel like I could bench-press a Toyota and dropkick a rhino in the face)

2. Kamen Rider V3 (I've always loved the melancholic tone of the lyrics, really fits the inherent tragedy of being a Rider)

3. Kamen Rider (Hard to beat the OG one. When you hear the words "Semaru Shocker..." you know what time it is)

4. Kamen Rider Ryuki (Alive A Life is a bop. Once the guitar riff opening starts, it just gets better and better)

5. Kamen Rider BLACK RX (The show might have been not great, but this shit SLAPS. Like it's a legitimate banger)

6. Kamen Rider BLACK (Something beautifully 80s about this one--I like the balance it strikes between moody and hopeful)

7. Kamen Rider Blade (ROUND ZERO is catchy as all hell. I can't say much beyond that, but it's always resonated with me)

8. Kamen Rider Faiz (Might just be nostalgia since I grew up with this series, but Faiz in general has really really good music overall)

9. Kamen Rider Blade (ELEMENTS slaps too. Shame about the series because its openings are really strong...)

10. Kamen Rider X (I just have a soft spot for 70s era Japanese music...KAMEN! RIDER! X! X! EXUUUUU!)

Shame about the series? You speak as if Blade isn't one of the best things Kamen Rider made :lol

If I had to answer with a TV show, it’d be Break the Chain. But overall my favourite Rider theme is Forever from Shin Kamen Rider Prologue.

Surprise Drive at number one, with the Ghost OP at a close 2nd.

Is that the general consensus on Blade? I don't know, it's been a while since I saw it but I remember being frustrated by and disliking the characters. Maybe I'll give it another go some time.

Man........this is difficult. There are so many good ones. I generally don't like the Showa songs or early Heisei themes. I think I'd probably say these openings:

My favorite Kamen Rider Songs are "Amazon Rider Is Here" by Masato Shimon (Kamen Rider Amazon; 1974) for the Showa Era and "Anything Goes!" by Maki Ouguro (Kamen Rider OOO; 2011) for the Heisei Era.

If I had to pick only one... hmm... Let's just say I'm "not allowed to say no"

but Faiz and Ryuki come close.
