And who's the guest for this week's episode? It's none other than Nana Owada, a former member of AKB48. She was a member from 2013 to 2017. My guess is that this episode was inspired by Hikari Sentai MaskMan Episode 13 "Chase The Idol!" in 1987, Ninpuu Sentai Hurricaneger Scroll 30 "Idols And Friendship" in 2002 and Engine Sentai Go-Onger GP 31 "Idol Debut" in 2008. Perhaps the plot was so similar to each other. Maybe there are some other Super Sentai references aside from those mentioned. Oh, and by the way, due to COVID-19, Mashin Sentai Kiramager won't air any of the new episodes after this. So, it looks like TV Asahi and Toei are apologizing to viewers about the State of Emergency due to the said pandemic. It's better to be safe than sorry. See you soon, Kiramager!

Shiguru has body pillow merch. I'm sure PBandai is going to have the announcement in a couple of days. Lol.

I feel like this episode might have been filmed around red finding out about his symptoms or at least he's not the focus for once. It's the sky duo. Pink using her exaid bs "doctor" level skills and blue is likes Low key tsundure. I was expecting garza will control the whole titan for himself. Not half bad.e

I like that someone else has shown some powers now, with Shigeru's inspiration to create a long sword that can split down the middle. Kinda neat.
Shigeru having a body pillow is fucking hilarious. |
I kinda put off watching the show week-by-week for some reason, but I binged the last 9 episodes yesterday and I have to say, I am really impressed with it.
The action is great, the aesthetic is wonderful. They always keep the mech fights fresh and I really appreciate that. Plus, it really does feel like the Mashin's are the Kiramager's partners cause they actually have plenty to do and appear often. I love that, despite Red obviously having a really pivotal role, the show is splitting up the focus really well. I mean, in this episode, Shigeru learns how to control his Kiramentality and him and Sayo are the main focus. Red is barely in sight. I also love the punchline at the end of the episode, pretty funny stuff and wholly unexpected. I really love the characters in this show. Too bad it's going on hiatus just as soon as I got into it! |

And we debuted the song for Kiramaizin and that is definitely Akira Kushida singing it.

Absolutely loving Kiramager! This was another great episode in a line of excellent episodes.
I really hope the hiatus doesn't impact the show too greatly. |

I'm very late on this one, but I just wanted to chime in and say that I liked it. Seeing Shiguru finding his own way of using Kiramentaly was refreshing as it shows the unique trait of the Red inspiring the rest of his teammates into finding their own way of using their own strengths, and I hope this gets further developed along the road for all of the Kiramagers.
Hell, even Garza is being build up as a character who finds out how his own powers work, and he successfully broke Smog Jouki out of the combination this time around. This week’s subplot was fine, innocent fun, but what really got me was the end. I'm not going into too much detail here, I’m just gonna say that I'm a huge fan of seeing a woman asking another one out being treated as something perfectly normal. Because it should be. |

https://i.imgur.com/X8z2FNO.png But that's all cleared up now, which means, holy crap do I get to talk about this one. This is definitely my new favorite episode of the show. It embodies everything that makes Kiramager so amazing, which is basically just how good I always feel after watching it. This episode, it's like, wall-to-wall hilarious gags, wrapped around a solid and fulfilling little plot, based in fun characters, and with cool action to boot. It's just everything I could want out of Sentai, polished to perfection. Arakawa totally crushed the script here. Shiguru just regained a ton of ground on the whole "I actively want him to be my favorite" thing, because the way this episode expands on the idea of him as a wannabe cool guy is wonderful. He's just like, a huge dork who needs to actively avoid any situation that makes him look bad to even get close to maintaining that image, but he constantly betrays himself anyway, and shows what a big kid he is. I loved in particular how the show is actively critical of his totally-not-a-rejection rejection, while still being hilarious about it, with all the Machines just having no sympathy for no him. The kind of dialogue Shiguru has in that flashback is the sort of thing that would be played straight a lot of the time, which I think really goes to show how thoughtful a writer Arakawa can be. And the fact that the gag at the end had the guts to not just be a quick subversion where it immediately turns out Iyo doesn't mean that kind of 付き合う, I don't even have the words to praise that enough. This show is just the absolute bomb, and I can't wait for the day when I have more of it back in my life. |

I agree, at first glance he seemed he was gonna be a mix bag of Joe Gibken and Bamba aka the cool brooding big brother swordsman but nope, and I really love that about him. |
