Kamen Rider Saber basically are Kamen Rider Ghost Ver. 2.0 :D

So here is a list of fictional characters and the animals mentioned from this list

So if this list is legit we can definitely say yes to we are getting a show based heavily on different types of lore from fairy tales to fables and legends. Just based on what I am seeing here the first impression I have about Saber is a mix of Ghost, Build, Gaim, Kabuto, and Ryuki just strictly based off of this info. And the animals/creatures are definitely peaking my interest cause when you got something obscure like Town Musicians of Bremen I cannot help but wonder what this show is gonna be like.

I was afraid you'd say that.

If only there was a way to make up for Ghost's failures.

Okay this is making me excited.

Just from the variety of characters, this sounds like an insane show when it comes to the Riders themselves.

Kamen Rider is starting to feel more like Super Sentai than actual Super Sentai. All we need to complete the transition is for all seven Riders to combine into one giant Mecha-Rider.

(Disclaimer: nothing new here, just trying to organise the info in the tweet thread in a way that makes sense to me and speculate on what it might all mean!)

So it seems like we've got a Build-style "two items" deal for our first three riders, who all use the same belt:
Rider #1: Dragon & Fire
Rider #2: Lion & Water
Rider #3: not explicitly stated, but seems like Aladdin & Thunder

Looks like you can buy either the Belt & Dragon/Fire together, or a combo set with the Belt, Dragon/Fire, and Lion/Water. Lion/Water and Aladdin/Thunder are also both available separately.

Then our next three riders all use a sword (Ken) to transform, but only with one item each:
Rider #4: Genbu
Rider #5: Sarutobi Sasuke
Rider #6: Hansel

Based on the prices (4000 JPY a pop) it looks like they each have their own version of the Henshin Ken. Either that, or you there's 3 different sets each packaged with their own item.

And then our final rider has their own belt, and already has a power-up item too!
Rider #7: Dark Dragon
Rider #7: Za-O (Evil King) powerup

Looks like you can get the Belt & Dragon item as a base set, or a combo with the Za-O item.

We then have a "Dragon & Lion" weapon, that presumably our first two rider share. Kyoutsu Kani & Kobuta items for Riders #5 and #6, which either are or work with a Belt (poor Rider #4 gets left out of the belt club!).
It then gets a tad confusing, as we have a bunch of items with various element, character, and animal themes listed as "left", "right", and "middle". Really scratching my head here - maybe the riders are actually made of 3 parts rather than 2? It doesn't seem like there's fixed combinations either, as both Aladdin and Cerberus are listed as "Thunder - Right". The mixing of mythical animals, real animals that happen to show up in stories, and mythical characters also strikes me as odd. Perhaps the elements are more like categories of item...

Left Middle Right sounds like a horizontal OOO gimmick, some rumours said Saber looked like W Cyclone Joker Extreme in terms of splitting colours

This is starting to make me think of Korean and Chinese toku like Legend Hero, Armor Hero, and the Saver series. I am very curious of this show also calling it now the #4 Rider/Genbu is a girl.

Left right middle sounds like it could be left page, right page, and the book itself as the middle.

I'm meh on another mix & match rider. But fantasy does sound cool.

Za-O huh, didn't somebody here try and pass that off as an Evil Zi-O for Q3 for Zi-O?

Shaping up to be another one where the motifs interest me... Hoping the show itself keeps my attention too. :)

It reminds me of Zyuoh The World or Patren U but with a mix and match gimmick and based on the half-cape rumor from Mr. Infobox, the sides might not be completely symmetrical.

Perhaps the combinations are Element + Rider + Legendary beast?

Very interested if this is all confirmed at some time. The book detail in the official logo did lead to fairy tale and story speculation so if it ends up true I'm all for seeing how it plays out.

Fairy tales and fables would be different from Ghost, which was technically historical real life people.

Well, most of them. It was always weird they had Robin Hood and Edison in a collection of real people.

I can't speak for Robin Hood but I'm pretty sure Edison was a real dude.

Robin Hood was technically a real person. And Thomas Edison is also a real person, I can see doubting the former but the latter is taught about in basic history classes...

Well I'm excited for this. I grew up with fairy tales and classic literature throughout my childhood so I definitely have some bias towards this.

I love everything I hear about this. It sounds really good.

So I guess for now I will speculate that like the hedgehog and eagle derives from the Grimm's Fairy Tales as there is a story called Hans My Hedgehog which like the title features a hedgehog, and The Crystal Ball which features an eagle.

Random thought; For anyone who can read the listings, does they explicitly state riders 4-6 (Genbu, Sarutobi, and Hansel) are actual "Riders"?

My first thought upon seeing these would be that riders 4-6 are actually pseudo riders (i.e Mashin Chaser, Night Rogue, or Blood Stalk), since riders 1-3 use a element and a character vs 4-6 that only use a character.

Anyhow, if these listings are legit, it seems like aesthetic of the Saber riders is gonna be utterly wild.

They just list them as Riders 4, 5, and 6. The fact that the Riders, 1, 2, 3, and 7 are getting belts while 4, 5, and 6 do not get them makes me wonder if they are gonna be like TheBee, Drake, and Sasword from Kabuto. However now that you mention it I do think the possibility of these three being Psuedo Riders are there as well. Another thought I have is given how 5 and 6 are bundled up together, what if we get 4 ~ 6 with 5 and 6 being 4's goons and 4 later upgrades to 7.

That is an interesting possibility. I do hope they are more main stays than those 3 Riders from Kabuto.

Robin Hood was not a real person. Some of the tales may have been based on actual events, but thats about it without going into the origins of the name.

Edison is a bit stranger and just makes me think that we'll probably have an Elon Musk Rider in a few decades.

That's a cursed idea if I ever saw one.

If I am not mistaken, some historians speculate that Robin Hood are based on Sir William Wallace.

Back to Saber.
Hmmm....I hope Saber are Mystical Kamen Rider series just like Ghost. Of course, I hope the story is better than Ghost despite Ghost is not worst Kamen Rider series in my opinion.

I loved Ghost so it can be like Ghost for me. I actually hope it's more like how I see Ghost for everybody.

That could make a lot of sense actually; 5&6 seem to have upgrades while #4 gets nothing, an #7 is almost definitely a villain based on their forms' names!

Now that I'm thinking about it, I can't remember the last actual Rider to not use a belt in some capacity to transform. I think it was Necrom?

Para-DX actually, who initially only used a Gashat to transform.

What about the Shotriser? It can be holstered in the belt but it’s technically a gun.

Hmm, in my mind I group it with something like the Bugvisor/Buggle Driver II. They can be detached and used as a weapon in of itself, but it also serves as the transformation belt, even if the way Vulcan uses it is more like Diend.
