I actually still need to watch the first Netflix Godzilla anime...
|
Hopefully it's interesting

Character design is good, Godzilla looks cool from what is shown, if this is a more "traditional" anime look wise I'm watching it.
Never cared for the other Godzilla anime because of the terrible CG-style. |
I personally wanted Masaaki Yuasa to make a Godzilla anime

Wow. Godzilla Singular Point just looks better and better. I'm so happy to see Jet Jaguar in the spotlight again, despite his slightly weird design, but I don't think it's bad in any way since it reminds me of Showa era mecha in it's design. Not exactly the biggest fan of Rodan, seeing how he looks a little too pterandadon in his design, and small to boot, not to mention he probably has an army or something.
The song in the trailer is probably the ending, given how it sounds (I've seen enough anime to know what sounds like an opening or ending.) And while I'm excited for Godzilla vs Kong, this is something that has my attention, with all of the obscure returning monsters and what looks to be a huge step up from the Polygon Trilogy. Now when do we get to see a full reveal of the King of the Monsters himself? |

For me personally, I think it was just wasted potential, with some interesting ideas that weren't executed properly. That and the stagnant animation, lackluster finale, and attempt at making a dark and depressing story, I couldn't bring myself to like it, though I've gotten over my resentment and disappointment, I have no problem with anyone who does like them and I can somewhat respect their intentions for what they tried to accomplish, but for me at least, it was a failure. Though I'd take them over another certain trilogy based on a popular franchise. Also, if anyone's interested in what could have happened in those movies, a certain animator created alternate endings for the second and final films, which are, honestly amazing. So if you're interested you could probably find them on YouTube. |

I saw firsthand why alot of people on this site warned me against watching them. |
To this day I'm always surprised by how much of a fan following Jet Jaguar has :lol

Seeing Jet Jaguar being a main focus fills my heart with so much joy it's not even funny.

Watch, the ultimate pay off will be completing Jet Jaguar.
|
Interesting detail I've noticed: The old guy who appears to be the one in control of Jet Jaguar, Goro Otaki's name might be based off of Goro Ibuki, who was the creator of Jet Jaguar in Godzilla vs. Megalon. I also get classic Godzilla vibes from these teasers for some reason, and I'm all for that.
