Mashin Sentai Kiramager Episode 35- "A Wandering Mabushina" Discussion
 

The Kiramagers are curious when the Princess suddenly disappears from their base.

There are some Super Sentai Rangers and Allies who were drunk prior to this episode today. They are: Remi Hoshikawa/FiveYellow, Kazu of the Heavenly Time Star/KirinRanger, Koume "Umeko" Kodou/DekaPink and Retsu Fukami/GekiBlue. If there's any of the other characters that are drunk in the past Super Sentai Series, please drop me a line. Remember, don't get drunk too much this Christmas Season and in the New Year or you'll suffer the consequences-either in jail, in the hospital or worse, in the cemetery.

Yes. Give it a rest; they’re their own people outside of super sentai and they’re allowed to goddamn drink. This isn’t even on-topic.

Fun episode! I enjoyed watching Mabusheena drunk on tea. And Yodonna getting addicted to popsicles. She's great.

An angry bird who loves popsicles? Hmmm...

To be honest, I was worried about them doing a comedy episode when everything else in the Tokusatsu weekly lineup were heating up (with Saber and UGF doing epic battles, while Z hits the final lap of the race to the finish). Turns out, it was still pretty good. Inori really hit it out of the park (if you’ll excuse the pun) with the comedy.

Next week is a rap episode. I’d love to see how that goes, since I’ve never seen a positively received piece of media featuring rap. (Even I’ve basically vilified it by having a monster of the week by a rapping plant who turns people who go into his club into monsters)

The phrase "it's not you; it's me" definitely applies here, but I didn't have a particularly great time with this one. It's not an awful episode by any stretch, but it's one that I struggle to say anything about, which means that for a second time, I'm just straight up taking a pass on trying to analyze a Tete Inoue script. Something about this writer and me, man, I don't know.
