So are they going to give Ecliptor facial expressions in this? Because I always imagine him like that.

After seeing this I not only still hope for Cyborg Astronema/Cyborg Ecliptor in Lightning Collection, but now a special LC Dark Specter that’s the same height as HasLab Unicron

I think Judd Lynn had his own theories regarding Ecliptor's origins (and I think they relate to the Phantom Ranger), but I never really jived with those theories because it felt like he had overlooked Astronema.

This offers something more involved.

The graphics have been hit-or-miss up to this point, but apparently they do well enough to keep moving.

This is definitely on my list. Anything Astronema, Psycho, or In Space related is a must for me.

I want them to make Ecliptor/Darkonda 2-pack.

Know how Super Megaforce did the controversial move of leaving Pre-Zyu Rangers in as opposed to cutting them out? Know how Fiveman were used in the Psycho Green backstory?

Damn, that's so cool, another pre-Zyuranger team used as meaningless cannon fodder! So awesome!

It's hard to really say controversial when it comes to Super Megaforce's bringing in the random new powers. That just felt like a blatant showing of how the writers and producers thought process worked when it came to making SM.

What I'm not a big fan of is the "We're going to utilize these suits that were never explained as teams, but their only purpose is to die" which leaves a bad taste in the mouth.

Did the Green and Blue Prism Rangers get gender swapped?

EDIT: Took a closer look and Green is still male. Blue looks female though.

The fandom viewed it as controversial at the time as there are many camps regarding Pre-Zyu Teams: those who want them included, those who don't want them included, those who don't mind either way, and those who don't mind so long as there is a sufficient explanation. The writers and producers made a grand mistake, but how that mistake is viewed is where the controversy came in at. Entirely possible that the fandom has since relaxed a tad and opinions are less volatile, if only on that specific detail.

I've always been in the camp of inclusion and have ideas on how it could be done, but they haven't addressed the minimal inclusion we've gotten up to this point particularly well. I can only surmise that the longer minimalization continues, the more likely we'll one day get detailed explanations in the future.

I'll agree that there are a lot of camps in viewing but... and this part of your post I'm picking out specifically, is what leads me into explaining why I mentioned "Blatant showing of the thought process".

Because there was no mistake I feel. A mistake means them messing up in some fashion despite trying not to.

I fully believe that there was intent behind their choices. There was intent behind them putting those new powers out there. And I will always refer to that one scene in Super Megaforce. The one where there's Sentai footage of five different Sentai Rangers, where they made original footage to replace that, but simply replaced the Sentai Red in there with MMPR Red.

That's not accident, no mistake, that was intentional. And that was mostly what I was getting at in regards to Super Megaforces choices sort of showing in a way, the thought process of the people behind the scenes.

The Red they replaced was VulEagle, and I've always kinda wandered about that "thought process". Was VulEagle cut out cause it was a cloth suit and not spandex? Was VulEagle cut out cause of that old Marvel copyright on Battle Fever, Denziman, and Sun Vulcan? Strangely enough, VulEagle was in ACG on a Megaforce Red Card.

If the matter was related to intent, then what was their intent? Personally, I don't see much difference between their intent and a mistake. They went in with questionable intent, which is the mistake. One can intentionally make a choice which turns out to be a mistake in the long run. Or perhaps a better choice of words would be "error in judgement"?

Huh, cool. Hope they get a solid showing like Supersonic/Fiveman did.
