First Look: DX GearTLinger
"It's a very straightforward name"
No, no I'd argue you guys picked the most difficult name possible :lol |
I'm glad they showed a Gaoranger gear; I was curious and worried that that, Zyuranger, Magiranger and Boukenger wouldn't get normal gears due to the Zenkaigers having the numbers on their gears.
Ooh I hope they make these gears in a diecast metal option. Coins and medallions are such a perfect collectible and these look great!
Notice how on each gear, some of the teeth are cut short on one or both sides? I'll bet those are what the Geartlinger reads to identify which gear you put into it!

I'm really excited to see what kinds of Sentai Gear we will get!

Doesn't make it a straight forward name, though :lol |

I'm really loving the look of the Sentai Gear - they're simple, but appealing. Only thing I wish was different was if they were a bit more colorful, like if the gears had indicators that showed each Sentai's colors around the main image, perhaps. |

Do you have to, do you have to, do you have to Gear T Linger? |
I've gotta say that looks like one awkward-as-hell transformation device.
its far from the prettiest the way the 2 handles are oriented is what seems odd... why does it have 2 handles AND a crank? Zenkaiser is a human.. not a 3 armed alien right? DOes he need one of the robo rangers to help him transform?
I mean it's not hard to imagine that you'd turn the crank and /then/ hold the gun by both handles. They're not all happening at the same time.
I have to admit I don't really understand all the confusion. This is far from the first toy gun to have two handles?
It seems like a cool toy. I'm not the biggest fan of henshin devices that are literal weapons (mostly due to the size discrepancy) but hey we still got a belt that uses the collectible.
Looking more closely at it, despite its form factor, it's relatively small and ZenKaiser is holding it like a handgun, so.... mystery solved?

If I may, it's probably more in the lines of: GEAR + T(ORI) + (GAT)LING+(CHANG)ER = GEARTLINGER with TORI being the Japanese word for bird. |
