Dumb there, dumb here. |
Can we assume the sounds also come out of the sword? The power up keys were never used on the changer

Well, aside from that one, I think it sounds great. Especially the gravity and elastic noises. I think the standby music is pretty good, though I don't quite get what shaking the morpher could be for.
Although, I haven't watched Ryusoulger yet, but weren't there a lot more Ryusouls than that? Maybe the key reader is more complicated than the video shows? |

So I went and found videos/pictures of the Ryusoulger toys, and I think I see where the discrepancy comes from. The video cited pin combinations for each key, but looking at pictures/videos of the Ryusouls, they have multiple rows of pins. I think four or five. The person who made the video, and (presumably) the the 3D printed hacking-keys didn't seem to know that, so they only made keys using one row. So the morpher (and sword, somewhere) almost definitely has more sounds than this. |

Except from the reviews, we can see Dino Keys have less sets of pins.

i mean. why would they include keys for the rangers AT ALL if they didnt make noises? why would they have the morpher only make noises for the power up forms and not the rangers morphing? there's absolutely more sounds in the toy
|
I think it would be extremely funny if they only had 7 sounds and they prioritised the fart one

I've been putting together a list of Power Key Pin Codes. Until we see the backs of some other keys besides the first 3 Rangers and the Morpher Key, there's not many options for pin combinations.
I noticed the fire, elastic, and gravity pins correspond with the ones on Red, Blue, and Pink's keys that we saw during the Fan First Friday reveal. https://docs.google.com/document/d/1...LOYyacj4I/edit |

Hey, that's my video! Sorry for the terrible quality, lol.

I'm probably explaining it really badly, but here is an image of the inside of the morpher. As you can see, there is an opening at the end of the key slot that the switches stick though, and they correspond perfectly to the three bits on the key. Both morphers from Beast Morphers worked the same way, except they had five bits on each key that lined up with five switches. This is the same method, but with less options. Of course, this doesnt rule out the sword having more options for reading keys, but every key that we have seen so far adheres to the three-bit format. We'll just have to wait and see about that. In the mean time, I'm 100% confident that these seven sets of sounds are all we have in the morpher. |
I'd like to point out...we don't know if there will be a sword. Or if there is one, if it will be able to read keys.

Huh. That's it, isn't it?
I went and found some pictures of the other keys, and yeah, only one row of pins, so it looks like that really is all the sounds. Which is bizarre and perplexing, to say the least. That would have to mean that the sounds don't correspond to the different keys. Which would mean the sounds are more or less random. If so, why? Why have a morpher that makes sound at all if the sounds aren't based on which key you put in it? Why make new keys (the monster ones) if they don't have new sounds? I don't get it. I hope there's something we're missing, but it doesn't look like it. |
Yeah it's definitely weird, especially when you consider that the keys themselves are very lackluster. you would think that they would pack as many sounds in the morpher as possible to make collecting them more enticing. At this point the only thing they have going for them is potential zord compatibility with the head sculpts.
Remember how bad people thought the ninja power stars were? Well, at least the morpher could read different sounds for a good portion of the show-use ones (rangers, zords, element stars). I'm sorry if I'm coming across as a downer. I really do like the sounds that the morpher does have. It just feels like a real downgrade considering that the morphers from the season adapted from gobusters did the collectable gimmick thing better than the season based on a sentai that was saturated with trinkets. |
They do sound amazing.
The thing is, all of the keys are shaped differently, so it makes no sense to have only seven key trigger combinations if they all have different molds anyway. Maybe the pins are different sizes? That would mean more combinations and more sounds, but I'm not sure if the buttons could do that. Hopefully there's more to this. |
